Chapter 4: Another Mess

Niki's mind was still racing. Seeing Aditya had shaken her from the inside.

"No."

His voice was still echoing in her head.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to steady herself.

"I need to get out of here," she mumbled, walking toward the street.

But then, her eyes fell on a black car parked nearby.

Aditya's car.

A mix of anger and anxiety bubbled inside her. Without thinking, she stepped toward the car.

"Here, now you won't be forgotten either!" she muttered in frustration and…

Threw up.

For a moment, everything was silent.

Then, a deep, heavy voice spoke—

"What the hell are you doing?"

Niki's mind froze.

Slowly, she looked up.

It wasn't Aditya.

It was someone else.

A tall, sharp-looking guy, with intense eyes full of irritation. His face held an expression like he was about to shake her and demand—"What did you just do?"

"Oh, shit."

That was the only thought in Niki's mind.

Without a second thought, she turned and ran.

But, of course, luck wasn't on her side—

She tripped and fell.

"Ahh!"

And —someone caught her before she hit the ground.

"You have a habit of falling, don't you?" The same deep voice remarked.

Niki slowly opened her eyes.

And as soon as she looked up—

"You?"

The guy was staring at her, still holding her by the shoulders.

"Yes, me," he replied coolly.

Niki had no idea what to do next.

"I'm sorry!" she blurted out and quickly pulled some money from her purse.

The guy just stared at her silently before saying in an expressionless tone—

"I don't need it."

"But I just—"

"I don't need it," he repeated.

Niki was about to argue again when headlights flashed from behind.

"Niki!"

Her sister had arrived.

Niki sighed in relief and shot one last glare at the guy. "Fine, but don't be mad."

A faint smirk flickered on his lips, so quick that Niki might not have even noticed it.

"I'm not mad—yet," he said.

Niki gave him a confused look before quickly getting into the car.

As her car drove off, the guy turned his gaze toward his own car, then slightly tilted his head.

"Interesting." He murmured to himself.

(1) Conversation in the Car

As soon as Niki sat in the car, her sister immediately asked, "Who was that guy?"

Niki quickly looked out of the window and replied, "No one… just a random guy."

"Don't lie, I saw you two talking," her sister said, eyeing her suspiciously.

"Oh, just drop it! Let's go home!" Niki tried to change the topic.

On the way, her sister asked, "So, how did it feel meeting your friends?"

She simply smiled and said, "It was nice meeting Bikky!"

(2) Surprise and Raavi's Entry

When Niki reached home, everyone was already asleep. As soon as she opened the door—

"Boo!"

Niki jumped back in shock. Sums and Raavi burst into laughter.

"What are you two doing here?" Niki asked.

Sums grinned and said, "Surprise! And we want to know what happened at the club!"

Raavi wasted no time and shot a question, "Why didn't you dance?"

Niki shrugged, "I just didn't feel like it."

"Didn't feel like it, or was it because of someone?" Raavi gave her a suspicious look.

Before Niki could respond, Sums grabbed her hand and pulled her up.

"Now you have to dance!" Sums turned on the music.

The three of them danced for a while, but Niki's mind was elsewhere.

(3) The Truth Comes Out

After dancing, all three sat on the bed.

Raavi suddenly asked, "Why are you so quiet? Something happened, didn't it?"

Niki took a deep breath and whispered, "I meet aditya"

Raavi's expression turned serious. "Why did you talk to him? You should've slapped him! Are you crazy?"

Niki remained silent.

Just then, Sums, who had overheard everything, sat beside her and held her hand. "Don't worry, everything is fine now."

Raavi sighed and said, "But Niki, if you meet him again, you have to tell us!"

Sums nodded. "Yeah, you're not alone."

Niki smiled, and the three of them hugged.
