Why is it feelimg so good?

Noah sat back against the park bench, his hair tousled by the soft breeze as he laughed at something Fist had said. It was an informal moment—two friends having a conversation, nothing more. And yet, to Kai, standing a few feet away, it seemed like so much more than that.

Fist had one arm thrown carelessly across the back of the bench, leaning in as he said something quietly in Noah's ear. Whatever it was, Noah was smiling at it, shaking his head as he playfully shoved Fist's shoulder.

Kai gritted his teeth. He hadn't meant to be here—at least, not here for this—but now that he was seeing them like this, he couldn't simply leave.

Instead, he walked over, hands jammed into his pockets, voice silky but edged with something cutting.

"Oh wow, what a sweet little vignette," Kai said, pausing just behind them.

Noah blinked up at him, a bit taken aback. "Kai? What are you doing here?"

Kai shrugged as though he hadn't just stormed over like a thunderhead. "Just out for a walk. But I guess I should've known to expect to find you two stuck together."

Fist raised an eyebrow, reclining. "We were just having a conversation, dude. Relax."

"Oh yeah?" Kai's eyes flashed to Noah. "Didn't know you enjoyed having in-depth chats with just anyone."

Noah scowled. "What are you talking about?"

Kai didn't answer immediately. Instead, he reached out and—without thinking—tugged at the loose string on Noah's hoodie, smoothing it down like it was the most natural thing in the world. The action was too familiar, too intimate, and Fist noticed.

"Wow," Fist said, tilting his head. "You're acting kinda weird, Kai."

Kai sneered. "Am I?" He faced Noah again, expression unreadable. "So, what were you two discussing? Something interesting?"

Noah looked at him, bewildered but also. Curious. There was something different about Kai today, something just beneath the surface.

Fist smirked. "Why do you care? Jealous?"

Kai rolled his eyes, but his fingers twitched.

"Me? Jealous?" He released a low chuckle, but even he did not think so.

Fist's smirk grew wider. "Right. So you wouldn't mind if I took Noah out for the night? We were going to get dinner."

Kai's face went dark for a half-second too long before he forced a smirk. "Huh. I guess you'll have to wait."

 Noah blinked. "What? Why?"

Kai draped an arm over Noah's shoulder, a careless but utterly possessive gesture. "Because he already has plans with me."

Noah's lips parted, and Fist's eyes narrowed.

"Do I?" Noah asked, looking up at Kai.

Kai just smiled, his hold tightening ever so slightly. "You do now."

Fist breathed out his nose, shaking his head as he rose to his feet. "Damn, man. If you like him this much, then just say it rather than doing these kinds of stunts."

Kai's jaw clenched, but he didn't release Noah.

Fist looked at Noah. "I'll catch you later, okay?"

Noah paused but nodded. "Yeah… sure."

As soon as Fist was out of hearing range, Noah finally looked at Kai, arms folded. "Okay, what was that?"

 Kai grinned but didn't respond.

 Because the truth was?

He didn't know either.

"Just making sure everything is all right, sweetie." Kai chuckled and then headed off, forcing Noah to trail after him.

When they returned home, Cherry burst out of her bedroom, hugging Noah. "Dada, I missed you! Can we have ramen today, please?"

Noah smiled, tousling her hair. "Sure thing, cutie. I'll make it just for you."

He headed to the kitchen, unaware of Kai's eyes tracking his every move. The way Noah handled himself so effortlessly—the veins subtly flexing in his hands as he worked, his bangs falling over one eye, his lips slightly parted in concentration—was driving Kai insane.

That was it. He couldn't resist anymore.

Kai moved closer, bridging the gap between them in a matter of seconds. Noah was trapped against the counter before he could move, his breath suspended as Kai's firm hands bracketed him. The swift closeness sent a chill down his spine.

Kai leaned in close, his voice low and threatening. "Do you have any idea what you're doing to me?"

Noah went stiff, holding tighter to the edge of the counter. The heat of Kai's breath tickled over his skin, and his brain went into hyperdrive. "L-leave me, Kai. I need to cook."

Kai laughed, the tone low and taunting. "Do you expect me to let you get away with that when you've got me turned on like this?

Noah's pulse thudded in his neck. His mind short-circuited—Kai's piercing stare, his smirk, his dominating presence—it was too much.

Aware of his tension, Kai moved in closer still, lips brushing perilously close to his ear. "Relax. You can still cook for Cherry." He smiled. "But as for me. I already have precisely what I want for dinner."

And with that, he stepped away, leaving Noah to cling to the counter, struggling to calm his breathing.

Has he lost his mind?

Dinner Time

Before long, the table was spread with various foods, particularly ramen, and Noah invited everybody to come.

"Dinner's ready!"

During dinner, Noah sensed it—Kai's eyes searing through him, never leaving his sight. His face became irretrievably hot.

"Noah Dada, are you unwell?" Cherry blinked up at him, observing his flushed face.

"N-no, it's just. The weather. It's humid today." He rubbed the back of his neck, attempting to brush it off.

Kai smirked, knowing the true reason.

"If you're getting too hot, you can sleep in my room tonight. The AC's stronger there."

Noah quickly shook his head. "No need, I'll be fine."

But Cherry pouted and pulled at his sleeve. "Please, Noah Dada? The guest room isn't as cool. Stay in my Dada's room tonight?"

Noah groaned in defeat. "Fine. Just for tonight."

Kai's smirk grew even bigger, his voice lowering to a whisper only Noah could hear. "Get ready, babe. Can't wait to see you sleeping beside me."

Noah glared at him, but Kai just continued to relish in his clear nervousness.

Later That Night

Noah walked towards Cherry's room when he was suddenly grabbed by a hand and pulled into another. His first instinct was to yell, but a strong palm clamped over his mouth.

"Shh," a low, husky voice whispered close to his ear. "It's me, babe."

Noah's breathing caught. Kai.

Kai switched on the lights, and his bedroom came into view—a lavish, modern room with Neon-Hype posters plastered all over the walls. Noah hardly had time to notice before Kai was already reclining comfortably on the bed, motioning for him to sit beside him.

"Come here."

Noah did so reluctantly, sitting rigidly.

A second later, Kai moved. Before Noah could react, he was caged beneath Kai's strong frame, the weight of his gaze pressing into him—studying, consuming, devouring.

Noah's throat went dry.

Why, Why does this feel so good?
