Chapter 7

She sat down on the sofa, arms crossed, glancing up at Elias who remained standing. "You have the nerve to ask how she died? Who knows who locked her in the fridge and left her there for days without a care?"

Her sarcasm was palpable. Elias's face changed instantly. He shouted, "I locked her in the fridge because of you! Besides, you were here the whole time. Couldn't you have let her out after I left?"

"And you still claim to be kind-hearted..."

When it came to their own interests, the once lovey-dovey couple turned on each other faster than flipping a page, each trying to shirk responsibility as if my death had nothing to do with either of them.

Elias suddenly seemed to grasp onto some evidence. He looked at Aria suspiciously, "You say Melody's death has nothing to do with you, but I only locked her in the fridge. How did she end up in such a horrible state?"
