Lynch was taken aback.
His body instinctively moved back, putting a little distance between him and Lanice.
The lips that had just touched were once again separated.
"Some milk spilled."
Lynch hastily found an excuse, then left his chair and stood up, moving aside to grab a cloth.
No one said anything further, and the atmosphere in the room turned a bit awkward for a moment.
Lynch grabbed a cloth to wipe the milk that had just spilled on the arm of the chair and casually found a topic to gloss over the previous incident: "So… what were we talking about earlier? Oh, right, the Su Ya Water, this…"
However, before he could finish, Lanice's voice interrupted him:
"I have a chance, don't I?"
She looked at him intently.
Lynch was once again taken aback.
Lanice continued, "If it were in the past, I would definitely keep our relationship at a proper distance, but now I think I should have the right to pursue what I want."
