CHAPTER 1

001 - Campus Battle! Activate the Hundredfold Increase! (Seeking Flowers)

The sky was clear, and the sun cast a warm glow over the battlefield.

Hoenn Region, Petalburg Province – Jiang Cheng No. 3 Middle School

A crowd had gathered, excitement buzzing in the air as two trainers faced off in the school's training arena.

"Pidgey, use Tackle on Caterpie! Finish it in one hit!"

One of the trainers, a boy with a confident smirk, commanded his Pidgey to strike. The small, brown-feathered Pokémon flapped its wings before diving toward the unsuspecting Caterpie.

"Qin Yun, this time, I'm finally going to defeat you!"

The challenger's voice carried determination. He had trained for this moment, believing that today would mark his long-awaited victory.

In contrast, Qin Yun stood calmly on the other side of the battlefield. He was tall, around 1.8 meters, with neatly styled dark hair, sharp eyes, and an air of quiet confidence that made him the school's most admired trainer.

"Qin Yun's luck is terrible today. He pulled a Caterpie in the finals, and his opponent got a Pidgey. How could he possibly win?"

"If it were anyone else, it'd be an automatic loss. But this is Qin Yun! He's the pride of Jiang Cheng No. 3 Middle School!"

"Yeah! How many times has he turned impossible battles around? He knows Pokémon better than anyone!"

The excitement grew as all eyes focused on Qin Yun.

This was the final match of the school's Rookie Trainer Tournament. Each participant had randomly selected a Poké Ball, receiving a Pokémon for a 1v1 battle. These matches tested a trainer's knowledge, tactics, and luck.

The champion would earn the coveted "Rookie King" package, a reward that could set the foundation for a future as a Pokémon Trainer.

But the odds weren't in Qin Yun's favor.

Pidgey, a Normal/Flying-type, had a natural advantage over Caterpie, a pure Bug-type. Not only did Pidgey resist Bug-type moves, but its superior Speed and Attack also made victory seem inevitable.

On the sidelines, Serena, a girl with golden hair and striking blue eyes, watched curiously. Her gaze was fixed on Qin Yun, a flicker of excitement in her expression.

"What's he going to do?"

Qin Yun's voice was calm but firm.

"Caterpie, use Tackle straight ahead!"

Caterpie hesitated, its small green body wriggling in confusion. The order seemed reckless, but as a battle-trained Pokémon, it didn't question its trainer.

Caterpie surged forward.

"It's useless!" The opposing trainer sneered. "Pidgey is faster! Dodge and counterattack!"

"Now String Shot!"

Qin Yun's voice rang out just as Pidgey dived forward.

Silken threads shot from Caterpie's mouth, thick and sticky. Though commonly dismissed as weak, String Shot was a deceptively strong battle technique especially when used strategically.

"Pidgey, pull up!"

But it was too late.

The threads caught Pidgey mid-air, sticking to its wings. The more it struggled, the tighter it became entangled.

"No way! Pidgey's completely wrapped up!"

The challenger's confidence shattered. This was the closest he had ever come to defeating Qin Yun, but now he could only watch in frustration.

"I… I lost."

Silence filled the air for a moment before the stadium erupted in cheers.

"Qin Yun! Qin Yun!"

With a faint smile, Qin Yun accepted his victory. It was a small, insignificant match. His real focus was on tomorrow, when he would visit the Pokémon Center to choose his first official Pokémon.

A school official stepped forward.

"Congratulations, Qin Yun, for winning the Campus Rookie Tournament! Here is your reward!"

A golden trophy was presented to him, alongside a blue prize box.

"Thank you." Qin Yun accepted it with a composed expression.

[Ding… System detected. Loading…]

Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice echoed in his mind.

[Ding… The Hundredfold Amplification System has been activated.]

His heart skipped a beat.

"A… system?"

This world was one where humans and Pokémon coexisted. The strongest trainers didn't just battle for sport they could single-handedly turn the tide of war.

The wealthy dominated resources, leaving commoners like Qin Yun at a massive disadvantage. Pokémon were expensive to obtain, requiring an annual fee of 10,000 PokéDollars just to participate in the selection process at age 16.

Even then, most trainers only received low-quality Pokémon, with only a few lucky ones getting a mid-tier selection.

And that was just the beginning.

Pokémon required constant training, specialized food, and expensive items like Energy Cubes to grow stronger. Without money or powerful connections, even the most promising Pokémon could end up wasted.

Qin Yun came from a working-class family, with his parents earning only 60,000 PokéDollars per year. That barely covered their living expenses let alone the cost of training Pokémon.

For someone like him, becoming a top-tier Trainer was almost impossible.

[System Unlock: Phase One – Hundredfold Increase Activated.]

[Effect: 1. Any Pokémon obtained by the host will have its potential increased by 100 times.

2. All received rewards and resources will be amplified by 100 times.]

[Note: The second stage of the system will unlock once the host obtains three Pokémon at the Elite level.]

(Quality Rankings: Basic → Common → Intermediate → Advanced → Superior → Epic → Legendary)

(Strength Levels: Beginner → Elite → Pro → Master → Title Elite → Champion → Legendary)

Qin Yun's mind reeled.

A hundredfold increase?

If this was real, then his journey as a trainer would be completely different from everyone else's…

This was only the beginning.
