Chapter 10

Because I've experienced the most painful things already,

This bit of pain is nothing,

As long as I can regain my sight, no matter the cost!

Because I still have many dreams left unfulfilled, I still haven't been able to see what my daughter looks like.

And so, as I worked hard on rehabilitation, gradually I began to regain some vision.

The first person I saw when I opened my eyes was Chase's anxious gaze.

"Briar, Briar."

I smiled and said, "Senior, I can see. I can see you."

"Still as handsome as ever."

To my surprise, as soon as I finished speaking, the usually imposing warrior king shed tears.

He held me tightly in his arms, "I'm sorry, I let you suffer. I didn't protect you well!"

I shook my head, "It's all in the past, Senior."

"I want to rejoin the Special Forces, to find my old self again."

Seeing my determination, Chase didn't try to dissuade me and immediately helped me submit the application.
