Surprisingly, a decent novel. People actually behave like people instead of pre-programmed "courting death" NPCs. The interactions are reasonable, and conflicts generally have a reason. The pacing is a bit on the slower side, but it's not the frustrating kind where you feel the author is stalling. More so just establishing the world and setting things up. A pretty enjoyable read.

i just don't even know why in every basic action of other the mc's gratitude is increasing. just for this bulshit I am out
there is no character design. the mc is a wimp who is scared of dying too much to be assertive or actually show ambition. the author says mc is ambitious but mc doesnt do anything but run and hid. the author over explains the mcs thoughts and actions, when he just doesnt do anything until he sees people he says he cares about almost die. then he's like oh i guess i should help because they helps him, but then you have to read at least 1 chapter of inner dialogue of rationalizing him helping. when he is just a scardy cat. no world background, no in depth side characters.
