The door ahead loomed tall, pulsing with a dark red glow that radiated faint waves of heat. Strange veins of black mana coursed through its stone, throbbing like a heartbeat. Something behind it was alive.

Liris stepped forward, hand hovering near the hilt of her dagger.

"The mana here... it's warped. Twisted and Corrupt."

I nodded slowly. "That's corruption. Whatever's behind that door it's been tainted with Chaos."

As we approached, the runes on the door flared, and a deep grinding sound echoed around the chamber.

The stone slowly parted, opening inward like jaws. A wave of searing air rushed out, nearly knocking us back.

From the shadows within, it emerged.

A colossal figure stepped into the dim firelight eight feet tall, armor fused into flesh, with glowing red and dark cracks all across its body like molten fault lines.
