chapter 9: a coming danger

The kingdom was bathed in the golden light of the setting sun as the week-long celebration of Amara and Kek's union slowly began to wind down. The joyous atmosphere lingered, with the echoes of music, laughter, and dancing still resonating through the grand halls. Yet, as the festivities came to a close, Amara and Kek found themselves nestled in their new home, enjoying a moment of peace before embarking on their next journey.

Amara, still with the glow of a newlywed in her eyes, sat by the window, watching the sunset paint the sky in hues of crimson and orange. Kek, seated beside her, leaned in closer. "Hey, Amara, let's go and meet our father. It's been three days now since we last saw him," he said, breaking the silence.

Amara turned her gaze toward him, a gentle smile forming on her lips. "Alright, let's go. I also want to meet with my sister. I haven't seen her since the wedding." She stood and stretched, ready for the journey.

Kek nodded and chuckled, "Speaking of my brother, I haven't seen him around either. It's like he disappeared after the wedding."

Amara's brow furrowed in curiosity. "His wife… I haven't seen her either. Who is she? I haven't seen her at any of the gatherings."

Kek paused for a moment, his expression softening. "Ah, well, my brother actually has two wives. Not just one." His voice held a certain pride as he mentioned his brother, who had always been a figure of great importance in their lives.

"Two wives?" Amara repeated, clearly surprised. "I didn't know that. Who are they?"

"One of them is the Heavenly Empress, the one who governs the skies with unmatched grace. The other… well, she's the Primordial Goddess of Darkness, a figure shrouded in mystery and power. Together, they make a formidable pair," Kek explained, his eyes sparkling with admiration for his brother and his wives.

Amara blinked in astonishment, her mind racing to process the information. "Wow… In comparison to your brother's wives, I feel like I'm nothing," she admitted with a hint of self-doubt in her voice.

Kek turned to her with a reassuring smile. "Don't think like that. You have immense potential, Amara. If you train hard enough, there's nothing stopping you from becoming a goddess yourself."

Amara's eyes widened, her heart filling with hope. "Really? Do you think I could really become a goddess?"

Kek's smile grew even wider. "Yes, I believe in you. You have the strength within you, Amara."

Meanwhile, in a distant kingdom, Seraphina, the queen of her land, sat at the head of a grand table in her palace. The room was filled with the most important figures of her kingdom, the air thick with tension and uncertainty. The kingdom's safety and future were at stake, and Seraphina's heart weighed heavily with the responsibility that came with her role.

"My queen, the seal… It is weakening," one of the council members said, his voice laced with concern. "Every year, the power of the seal diminishes, and if it continues like this, we estimate that it will break in approximately twenty years. What should we do?"

Seraphina's face darkened as she stared out of the large windows that overlooked her vast kingdom. Her mind raced. "We can't do anything for now," she responded solemnly, her voice laced with both sadness and resolve. "But we will find a way, just as we did long ago."

One of the men at the table spoke up again, his voice trembling. "But this time… there is no one who can help us like before. We're alone in this."

Seraphina stood, her regal figure casting a commanding presence over the room. Her voice rang out with certainty, cutting through the tension. "Then we will have to find them, no matter the cost. We won't let this world fall."

As she spoke, a servant entered the room, interrupting the meeting. "Lady Seraphina, there is someone who wishes to meet with you. He says it is of great importance."

Seraphina raised an eyebrow. "Send him in," she ordered.

A tall man with a striking appearance walked into the room. He was dressed in armor, a sword sheathed at his side. His long, dark hair flowed behind him, and his eyes held a glimmer of something both ancient and familiar. The moment he stepped into the room, the atmosphere seemed to shift.

"Seraphina," the man said with a grin. "It's been a long time."

Seraphina's eyes widened in shock, and her mouth parted as she recognized the man before her. "Kaelen Stormblade? What are you doing here? I thought you were dead. How are you alive?"

Kaelen's grin widened. "Well, it's a long story, but there's something far more important than that." His voice dropped to a more serious tone.

Seraphina's gaze sharpened. "Like what?" she asked, sensing the urgency in his words.

Kaelen took a deep breath before speaking, his eyes flickering with concern. "The seal is weakening, and it's a far greater threat than we've ever faced before. I was in a battle with Yugri, and he told me that their leader was coming. I fear that this being alone is powerful enough to tear this world apart. If all of them come… Aus will be doomed."

The room fell silent, the weight of his words sinking into every person present. Fear etched the faces of those around the table as they understood the gravity of the situation.

Seraphina's expression grew more resolute. "We've faced impossible odds before, Kaelen, and we've always found a way. We can do this again."

Kaelen's eyes darkened. "This time, though, it's different. This time, it's not just one, but all of them. The entity that Yugri spoke of is only the first. If the others follow, we'll have no chance. I'm afraid we'll be powerless to stop them."

Seraphina's gaze narrowed, and she clenched her fists, her determination unwavering. "Are you talking about those two entities that fought in the sky? The ones that brought the heavens to their knees?"

Kaelen nodded solemnly. "Yes. I believe they are the only ones who could possibly stand against the forces that are coming."

Seraphina's thoughts raced. "Did Yugri say anything about these two entities? Did he mention their power or their intentions?"

Kaelen hesitated, then shook his head. "No, he didn't. It was as if he was afraid of them. He refused to speak about them, and that tells me all I need to know. These entities… they are powerful beyond comprehension."

The tension in the room was palpable as everyone exchanged looks of fear and uncertainty. Seraphina's mind worked furiously, but her resolve remained steadfast. "We will find a way, just as we did before. We have no other choice."

Kaelen's gaze softened. "I hope you're right, Seraphina. Because if we don't act soon, it could be the end of everything we know."

As the council members continued to discuss strategies and possible solutions, the kingdom outside remained unaware of the looming threat. The laughter and festivities of the wedding, the joy of the newlywed couple, seemed worlds apart from the looming storm that threatened to tear apart their world. The delicate balance of peace that had been achieved was fragile, and only time would tell if they could avert the coming catastrophe.

" A little note"

There are two kingdom that are ruled by the two sisters
