Because his martial soul was the divine-level Six-Winged Angel, Six-Winged Angel soul masters were among the most difficult to conceive offspring.
Moreover, Qian Xunji's martial soul had evolved beyond the Six-Winged Angel into the Twelve-Winged Angel. On top of that, he also possessed the Golden Dragon martial soul, which was no less powerful than the Twelve-Winged Angel.
Although Ling Yuan's martial soul—whether it was the Blazing Spirit Luan before its evolution or the Scarlet Flame Phoenix Eagle after—was highly compatible with the Twelve-Winged Angel, and not poorly matched with the Golden Dragon either, the Scarlet Flame Phoenix Eagle was an exceptionally powerful top-tier martial soul, no weaker than the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon.
Because of this, conceiving a child with Qian Xunji was extremely difficult. It was completely normal that, despite years of effort, they hadn't had any children.
Otherwise, in the ancient world of Douluo Dalu, why would so many soul masters only become fathers in their fifties or sixties?
Initially, they had expected to wait several more years before welcoming a grandchild. However, to their surprise, Qian Xunji had managed to impregnate Ling Yuan just a month after their wedding.
This naturally thrilled the old man, Qian Daoliu.
'This must be the blessing of the God Ancestor!'
But as Qian Xunji gently fed Ling Yuan spoonfuls of snow swallow, ginseng, and rainbow pheasant soup, he mentally calculated the time.
He realized that from the wedding until now, it had been exactly two and a half months.
His gaze suddenly turned strange.
'Wait… this exact timing…?'
'Could it be… the legendary influence of that man? Even after coming to another world, I still can't escape his unseen hand?'
'Terrifying!'
At that moment, the straightforward and impulsive Lion Douluo, who was full of excitement, couldn't hold back his curiosity.
"Your Holiness, do you know whether the child is a boy or a girl?"
While Qian Daoliu was laughing joyfully, Lion Douluo asked excitedly, as if he himself was about to become a grandfather.
It wasn't entirely his fault.
Among the six grand worshippers, from Golden Crocodile Douluo down to Falling Devil Douluo, not a single one had a family of their own, despite their advanced ages.
This was a common trend in the Douluo Continent.
Because soul masters, once they reached a certain level, could easily live for a hundred years, most chose to start families in their forties and only had children in their fifties.
The more talented and powerful a soul master, the later they would marry and have children.
Raising a family and nurturing children took too much time and energy. Most wanted to maximize their cultivation while they were still young before considering marriage and offspring.
Golden Crocodile Douluo, Azure Luan Douluo, and Lion Douluo had all broken through to Titled Douluo after fifty, which meant their bodies were already past their prime and beginning to decline.
Unlike Qian Daoliu or Bo Saixi, who became Titled Douluo before the age of forty and could extend their lifespan with each rank, ultimately living for over a thousand years, these worshippers could still live for three to four centuries.
Thus, like most high-ranking soul masters, they had never even thought about starting families yet. They intended to wait until they had reached their peak before settling down.
Now, hearing that Qian Xunji was going to have a child, these worshippers, who had watched him grow up, were naturally overjoyed.
They had already started treating Ling Yuan's unborn child as their own grandchild.
"Old Third, what are you talking about?"
Golden Crocodile Douluo shook his head in exasperation.
"His Holiness's child was just conceived. How could anyone tell if it's a boy or a girl?"
"Ah… sorry! My bad!"
"Haha, I got too excited and didn't think before speaking!"
Lion Douluo scratched his head in embarrassment and laughed awkwardly.
Seeing how thrilled the worshippers were, Qian Xunji smiled slightly. He understood their feelings well.
These worshippers, even the youngest of whom was already in their sixties or seventies, had never started families.
So, naturally, they viewed his child as their own future grandchild.
He had been expecting this and had already made plans.
"Uncles, since I'm about to have a child, when do you plan to start your own families?"
Qian Xunji smiled as he glanced at the worshippers and immediately turned the tables on them, urging them to start having children.
"You wouldn't want your future children to have to address mine as uncle or aunt, would you?"
The worshippers were suddenly at a loss for words, fumbling for excuses.
They said they had only recently undergone martial soul evolution thanks to His Holiness's blessing, and they needed to seize the opportunity to increase their cultivation.
They were still young! Even though they were in their sixties and seventies, they could live for several hundred more years.
There was plenty of time. They could wait until they hit a bottleneck in their cultivation before settling down.
But Qian Xunji wasn't about to let them off so easily.
His father had established the Worship Hall to maintain a personal elite force.
While he himself might not need to create another such group, his future child—his daughter, Qian Renxue—definitely would!
Since he had helped the worshippers evolve their martial souls, it was the perfect opportunity to push them into starting families.
If they had children now, those children could grow up alongside Renxue and form a loyal faction around her.
That way, they would naturally become her most trusted aides in the future!
"Uncles, I understand that you're worried about finding suitable partners, getting married, and raising children."
"But don't worry! I'll handle everything for you!"
Qian Xunji patted his chest and confidently assured them.
"Not only will I arrange your marriages, but I'll also take care of raising and educating your future children!"
"When my child is born, I'll be personally raising and educating them. Your children can grow up alongside mine and receive the same training and education from me. Isn't that great?"
Hearing this, Qian Daoliu immediately realized the advantages.
As a grandfather, he quickly took on the mindset of someone already seated beside his future grandson or granddaughter and spoke with a serious expression.
"Azure Luan, Mighty Lion, Glowing Feather, Fifteen Ton, Falling Devil—Ji'er is absolutely right!"
"Let him take care of arranging your marriages and your children's upbringing."
"You're not young anymore. It's time to take care of these major life matters."
"This won't take much of your time. Once it's settled, you can focus on your cultivation again, can't you?"
"That's right! Exactly!"
Golden Crocodile Douluo nodded in strong agreement.
After all, he had successfully broken through to Limit Douluo.
From this point on, his cultivation would be a slow and steady grind toward the peak of Limit Douluo, where Qian Daoliu stood in the Half-God Realm, before ultimately embarking on the path to godhood.
Now that he was prepared to get married and have children, with both the Pope himself urging marriage and his elder brothers, Qian Daoliu and Golden Crocodile Douluo, adding to the pressure, the remaining worshippers—Azure Luan Douluo, Mighty Lion Douluo, Glowing Feather Douluo, Fifteen Ton Douluo, and Falling Devil Douluo—could only wilt like frostbitten eggplants and reluctantly agree.
"By the way, we should come up with a name for His Holiness's child!"
Suddenly, Glowing Feather Douluo, as if struck by inspiration, excitedly suggested.
Hearing this, Qian Daoliu and the worshippers immediately started racking their brains, trying to think of a suitable name for Qian Xunji's future child.
"How about Qian Nianxi for a boy and Qian Nianqian for a girl?"
After a long moment of thought, Qian Daoliu cleared his throat and proposed.
The room instantly fell silent.
Qian Xunji and Golden Crocodile Douluo both turned to look at Qian Daoliu with strange expressions.
As for Azure Luan Douluo, Mighty Lion Douluo, and Glowing Feather Douluo, they appeared somewhat puzzled.
"Big Brother, what's the meaning behind this name?"
Qian Daoliu, unable to explain, turned red and finally mumbled, "I just think it sounds nice. If you all have better ideas, feel free to suggest them."
At this, Golden Crocodile Douluo, Azure Luan Douluo, and Mighty Lion Douluo all started offering their own preferred names.
Golden Crocodile Douluo asked expectantly, "How about Qian Panshi for a boy and Qian Qingsi for a girl? What do you all think?"
Azure Luan Douluo, in a cold and aloof tone, said, "I think Qian Fengjun for a boy and Qian Huangyao for a girl would be better."
Mighty Lion Douluo, in his bold and hearty voice, suggested, "I think Qian Lieyan for a boy and Qian Yumiao for a girl sounds great!"
The worshippers excitedly threw out name after name.
Qian Xunji's mouth twitched.
'These old guys are all trying to slip in their own preferences!'
Meanwhile, Ling Yuan furrowed her delicate brows. Her refined, elegant face showed clear frustration—she wasn't satisfied with any of these names.
In the end, Qian Xunji made the final decision.
"I've decided. If it's a boy, he'll be named Qian Renhan. If it's a girl, she'll be named Qian Renxue."
"A boy should have the resilience to stand atop a thousand-fathom peak, unmoved even as the harsh winds blow from all directions."
"A girl should be as pure, noble, and brilliant as the snow atop a thousand-fathom summit."

Author's Note (The fanfic author's, not mine):
According to the setting, the Six-Winged Angel is the superior counterpart to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, just as the Golden Holy Dragon is to the latter. (This is the name used in Soul Land I; due to inconsistencies in the series, the name from Soul Land II is not used.)
The evolved martial soul of the Six-Winged Angel, the Twelve-Winged Angel, corresponds to the higher-tier martial soul of the Golden Holy Dragon—the Golden Dragon.
Given the messy continuity in the Soul Land series, I have decided to set the Golden Holy Dragon as a lower-tier dragon species with Golden Dragon blood rather than as a Light Holy Dragon.
Thus, the Golden Dragon corresponds to the Twelve-Winged Angel martial soul.
Additionally, due to inconsistencies in the ages of Titled Douluo throughout the series, I've added a clarification.
Contrary to what Bo Saixi said about each level past 91 adding 100 years of lifespan, a soul master's lifespan increase depends on their age at breakthrough.
If they achieve Titled Douluo before 50, when their body is still at its peak, this state becomes "locked in." From level 91 onward, each level grants approximately 100 extra years of life.
In short, the younger the breakthrough, the greater the lifespan extension.
However, if a soul master reaches Titled Douluo after 50, when their body has begun to decline, the lifespan increase per level is significantly reduced.
The exact amount depends on their physical condition at the time of breakthrough.
This adjustment should help mitigate some of the inconsistencies in the ages of Titled Douluo.
Oh, and about Golden Crocodile Douluo's age earlier—200 years was definitely too low, so I've added some years to fix that.
That's all!
