The cavern trembled.
Frost clashed with abyssal darkness, consuming the air with every strike. Jagged ice spread across the ground, only to be swallowed by writhing shadows, erasing reality itself. This was not a mere contest of strength—it was a battle between existence and the abyss.
A figure stood motionless amidst the chaos.
The Frost Raven, his glacial blue eyes unwavering, exhaled. The cold mist of his breath shimmered like stardust. Across from him, a figure of pure void—darkness shifting and reforming with every movement—watched with piercing golden eyes.
Then, the Void Creature laughed.
A sound that did not belong to this world—deep, endless, an echo from the abyss itself.
"So, you still play with humans?"
The voice did not carry through the air. It resonated, pressing against reality like a weight too vast to comprehend.
> "A being like you, a legend whispered in old myths, has bonded with a mortal again? I never thought I'd see the day."
The Frost Raven's expression did not change.
> "I haven't forgotten the past."
His voice was cold, indifferent.
> "This human… is simply interesting."
A flicker of something—amusement?—passed through the Void Creature's golden gaze.
> "Playing with lives as you please, as always."
A sharp gust of wind carried the silence between them. Then, the Frost Raven moved.
A flick of his fingers. A shift in the air.
Between them, a table of enchanted ice formed, sculpted with intricate runes that pulsed with an ethereal glow. Two chairs appeared, their surfaces frosted with a cold that would shatter mortal flesh.
The Void Creature tilted its head. Then, without hesitation, it sat down.
> "A table? You haven't changed."
The Frost Raven took his seat, his robe flowing like a frozen river.
> "Tell me, void-born creature. What is your name?"
A pause. The Void Creature regarded him for a long moment, as if weighing the significance of the question. Then, with a slow, deliberate motion, it leaned forward, resting shadow-like fingers against the icy table.
> "Veldros."
The name carried weight. A name lost to time, buried beneath countless forgotten ages.
> "I was born here, in this ruin. I have guarded it for as long as I have existed."
The Frost Raven observed him, silent and unreadable. Then, a faint smirk.
> "A youngling like you could die in the void if you're careless."
Veldros chuckled. His form twisted, shadows compressing, reshaping.
Ice cracked beneath his feet as his transformation completed.
Golden eyes dimmed, turning to a deep violet. Hair black as the abyss. A being of the void, now wearing a form that could walk among men.
> "Until we meet again, bird of frost."
And with that, he was gone—vanishing into the abyss.
A Frozen Guardian and His Fragile Human
Silence. Only the distant hum of lingering magic remained.
The Frost Raven turned his gaze downward.
A small, unconscious figure lay on the cold stone floor.
Averis.
His pale face was stained with blood, his breaths weak and shallow. The battle had ended, but the damage remained.
The Frost Raven sighed. Crouching, he placed a hand over the boy's chest. A pulse of frost-like energy spread outward, seeping into shattered ribs and torn flesh. It would take time—his human was fragile.
His eyes darkened slightly.
> "You hit my human a little too hard."
No response.
Veldros was already gone.
The Frost Raven exhaled softly. The cold mist of his breath swirled before dissipating. Then, with a flick of his wrist, he lifted Averis into his arms.
The air rippled.
A portal of abyssal energy tore through space.
A Castle of Darkness and a Dinner of Old Souls
The Frost Raven stepped through.
Beyond the portal stood a gothic castle, its towers stretching into infinity, their edges fading into mist-like tendrils. The void pressed against it, yet the castle felt... alive.
A woman in a black and silver uniform greeted them. Her crimson eyes flickered toward Averis before she bowed.
> "Welcome, honored guests."
Inside, a grand dining hall awaited.
A long table stretched before them, adorned with dishes both familiar and unrecognizable—foods shimmering with unnatural hues, as if the void itself had shaped them into existence.
At the head of the table sat Veldros, still in his human form. He raised his glass, violet eyes gleaming with quiet amusement.
> "Shall we drink, Frost Raven?"
The Frost Raven sat, silent. A glass of deep red wine was poured before him, swirling like freshly spilled blood. He lifted it, taking a slow sip.
> "What is it you wish to discuss?"
Veldros leaned back, relaxed yet watchful.
> "The state of the Void Realm, of course. It has been… restless lately."
They spoke of ancient matters, forgotten wars, things beyond mortal comprehension. But somewhere between the lines, the Frost Raven brought up Averis.
> "The boy suffers from Mana Overload Syndrome. His mana is unstable, but he is… intriguing."
Veldros listened, fingers tapping idly against the table.
> "Then, you truly care for this human?"
The Frost Raven scoffed, expression unreadable.
> "He is mine. I do as I please."
Silence.
Then—a smirk.
Veldros lifted his glass once more, his violet eyes gleaming.
> "That boy of yours… is more connected to the void than you think."
The Frost Raven's gaze sharpened.
But he said nothing.
For now.
Chapter End.
Leave the chapter here if you want.
This Version is 2 of this chapter for the people who didn't understand the some part of this chapter well and both the pervious chapter and this is canon because there not much a difference in them and it's just that the this chapter didn't explain the words correct so I remade it.
Chapter 46: The Meeting with the Void
A suffocating silence filled the space between them as Frozen Raven stood before the Void Creature.
The air crackled with unspoken tension. Neither moved. Then, as if testing the waters, they clashed.
A flurry of ice and abyssal darkness erupted as their battle commenced. Frozen Raven's magic froze the very space around them, while the Void Creature's energy twisted and devoured the void itself.
Their fight was brief—neither aimed to kill. It was a test, a measure of strength, of identity.
Eventually, the battlefield settled. With a wave of his hand, Frozen Raven conjured a set of chairs and a table from sheer frost. A diplomatic gesture.
The Void Creature, amused, accepted the unspoken invitation and took a seat.
"Your name?" Frozen Raven asked.
The creature's golden eyes gleamed with curiosity. "Veldros," he finally said.
A pause, then a smirk.
"I never imagined I'd see a being as majestic as you again. I've only heard whispers of you in ancient tales. And yet, here you are... with a human?"
Frozen Raven's gaze remained cold. "I haven't forgotten the past, if that's what you're implying."
Veldros chuckled, his voice a deep hum that resonated in the void. "So, you're playing with lives as you please once more?"
Frozen Raven's expression didn't change. "What is a creature like you doing here?"
Veldros leaned back, his presence both regal and untamed. "Protecting this place. It is where I was born."
His form shimmered, shifting, until he stood before Frozen Raven in a human guise.
His golden eyes faded, turning a deep violet. His black hair fell over his shoulders, making him appear almost mundane—if not for the lingering air of power around him.
"I'll take my leave," Veldros said. "Until we meet again."
As he turned, Frozen Raven called out,
"A youngling like you could easily die in the void. Be careful."
Veldros only laughed before vanishing.
With the encounter over, Frozen Raven turned to Averis, still unconscious. Placing a hand over him, he let his magic flow, knitting together the wounds.
But even as the healing took effect, Averis remained unresponsive.
"I think you hit my human a little too hard," Frozen Raven muttered.
Veldros, still lingering, smirked. "Join me for dinner, and I'll consider it my apology."
Frozen Raven sighed. "Fine."
A rift tore open before them—a portal leading into the Void Realm.
Beyond it lay a towering castle, its darkened spires stretching into infinity.
The two stepped through, and in moments, they were seated at an opulent dining table. The room was dimly lit, casting elongated shadows across the cold stone walls.
A maid, her skin pale and her eyes a deep crimson, moved gracefully to pour them wine. She bore the unmistakable air of a vampire, though one entirely at ease in Veldros' domain.
The meal before them was lavish, a feast seemingly untouched by the void's usual corruption. As they drank, their conversation drifted—first to the state of the Void Realm, then to Averis.
Frozen Raven spoke of their meeting, of the MOS, of how the tides of fate had led him here once more.
Veldros listened, his expression unreadable. Yet, there was something in his gaze, something ancient yet strangely intrigued.
And so, between an old legend and a being born from the void, the night continued.
