Chapter 26.

Regan.

My eyes lock with Rita and I swear I feel her voice call my name, deep in my heart.

I lost my heart the day she crossed to meet Defranchez, six years ago in Florida. But I was helpless. Couldn't do more than let her go, because she was a daughter to my father's enemy.

Beautiful in the shimmering silver dress she wears. Her lips, a natural hue with her tanned skin. Her hair in a stylish hold, leaving her long neck, exposed. She looks really beautiful.

A nudge on my elbow and I see Dinah looking up at me.

"Where're you lost?" She teases, a smile on her beautiful face.

God, Dinah is really a challenge in bed!

Her delightful body, her wantonness. But she isn't Rita. She doesn't evoke the tenderness that was shared between Rita and I, six years ago.

Actually, I haven't found that same feeling in over six years. It wasn't teenage hormones. I was 24 then and she was 18.
