"SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND"

"It's officially been a month since y'all started dating and for that week you've not done any lesson " mirabel frowned at sunmi.

" it's not like that, I've just been busy that's all " sunmi said with a puppy like expression.

" no more excuses, stand up let's go" mirabel said as she stood up and left for the library .

The library buzzed with hushed whispers of students and rusting of turning of pages . Sunmi hunched over her text book , struggling to understand the equation in front of her.

But something else disturbed her , She couldn't shake the feeling if been watched .it wasn't the usual library feeling , it was something more profound.a sense of been observed , an unwavering feeling of an unseen gaze.

Trying to shake it off, sunmi focused in her book . But the feeling persisted, growing stronger . Finally she raised her head , but something was wrong , the whispers and rustling of pages were gone.the library was empty . Every single person - the students, librarians even mirabel had vanished .

Sunmi was immediately envelope in fear as she scanned the library wondering what had happen to everyone."Do not fret, they are still very much alive , hidden , you just have to find them "a voice called out to sunmi from behind.sunmi turned to see a girl who was dressed in colorful attire that seemed to another time . The little girl who seemed like she knew what was happening slowly walked towards sunmi with a smile.

" who.....,,who are you?" Sunmi asked , her voice shaking and filled with fear.the took as it across sunmi backing the entrance of the library." I am Tiaraoluwa, but you can call me Tiara " she said with a suspicious calmness . " wh.....what happened to everyone ? Where are they ?" Sunmi asked her voice trembling.

" They are here , there , somewhere ?alive though"Tiara said with a playful smile ." And how do I find them?" Sunmi said trying to sound confident .

" simple you just have to answer one question and I'll show you were your friends are " Tiara replied . " and what's the question " Sunmi said as she drew to the edge of her seat .

A smirk slowly formed in Taira's face " who are you ?"she asked as her voice echoed through the now empty library.

Sunmi was taken aback by the question but managed to muster an answer " I am Sunmisola Ruth Akintuyi". Tiara smiled as if she knew that would be Sunmi's answer " I know , I know . But who is sunmisola Ruth Akintuyi?"

Sunmi looks confused and sacred as thoughts ran flooded her mind" who is this girl? Where did she come from ?" Sunmi asked her self .

"Don't worry love, you needn't worry. All the answers you seek , your friends, who you truly are . Lies behind that door " Tiara said pointing at the library door which has now been replace with a gigantic wooden door. That seemed to belong the a church.

Sunmi stared at the door with fear and confusion. With so many thoughts in her mind she turned ti Tiara. For answers but Tiara had also vanished too . Now she was the only one left in the library again

The heavy wooden door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit interior that resembled a church .

Sunmi saw a group of women cloth in white robes. There heads were covered and their faces expressionless.they stood around a large stone table . Upon which laid a young girl. Sunmi gasped as she saw the young girl, it was her , or rather , a younger version of her. She was lying in the table , her eyes closed and her body still.

" what is this, who are these women ? Why I'm I here?" Sunmi asked herself . The woman began to chant in a low rhythmic tone, as the surrounded little sunmi like as if they were performing a ritual of some sort.

The women voice grew louder , their words became clearer." This is unnatural" one of them intoned ." This power is a curse , something the world isn't prepared for " they spoke about her abilities and how if not sealed could bring great harm to the world .

Sunmi watched in horror as the women performed the ritual. She tried to stop them but she couldn't , they couldn't see or hear her.They produced a small ancient -looking symbol, a cross like mark.

They held it above younger Sunmi's abdomen as it glowed with an other worldly light .

As the women began to chant once more, the symbol began to glow brighter . The women pressed the symbol against younger Sunmi abdomen, and sunmi felt a searing pain as if her flesh was being branded.sunmi felt her younger self's consciousness begin to fade .as if being pulled into a darkness.

Then everything went dark.

As sunmi regained consciousness , she found her deli back at the library . With the weight of the previous vision leaning heavily on her . Her mind raced as she wondered why would they seal her powers , and what did they mean by its unnatural. But sunmi knew the only way out was through the door. She took a deep breath as she pushed open the door , which had now be replaced with a door made of palm front .

Sunmi found her self back in a memory , running as fast as her legs could carry her, the werewolf hot on her trail . As sunmi ran , she heard voices, first distorted, then they grew clearer it was the voices of Tolu and Moses.

" we have to erase her memories , it's the only way . I know she's your family friend but she's also my best friend " Tolu said ." The consequences are dire , but if it's the only way, then we have to do it" Moses replied.

Sunmi's heart sank , they were talking about her . "What did they try to make her forget and why?" She asked her self. She ran for a while , then she stumbled into a clearing in the forest were she saw her unconscious body in the floor with Tolu and Moses standing near it.

They seem to be doing something on her, which involved a series of symbols and incantations.Moses began to chant in Latin "Abluere memoria, tenebrae mentis, oblivio memorandum , esto sanctio, vacuous fait, memoriae , deleatur,Omnia oblivio .

Sunmi was devastated after witnessing this, wondering why she had to go through this. She closes her eyes to hold back the tears , but when she opened it she was back at the library .

Sunmi was filled with so many questions that needed answers. And she wanted to end this journey as soon as possible. She stood up and walked towards the door which has now been replaced by the exterior of a restaurant. She pushed the glass door of the resultant.

 The air of the restaurant was thick with scent of rich food. It had a live band playing . Sunmi was confused , but her attention was seen was drawn to a table where the waiter was being rude to some costumers . A young couple sitting on a table , the waiter was demanding for payment in a rude and curt manner. The couple unfazed by his rudeness, calmly explained that they were still finishing there meals and they would pay when they were done.

 The waiter impatience quickly turned into hostility .he demanded for payment again . Then something strange happened , the couple smiled, a slow sinister smile . The women eyes turned milky white .

There was silence , the band stopped playing as every band member dropped to the floor. One by one , the other diners froze , their heads dropping to their plates . The waiter immediately got scared and turned to leave , but the man appeared in front of him ripping out his heart .

Sunmi quickly bolted for the door , running back into the library . She looked around for a hiding spot and then his under table hoping for another door to appear. The cooked pushed open the door and also appeared at the library, both confused.

" brother , we are not alone" the woman said turning to her brother. Sunmi heart raced as she peaked out of her hiding spot, but something was wrong, the man was standing alone and the woman was no longer there .as sunmi slowly turned back, the woman appeared in front of her, her eyes milky white. With a cold whisper she said ."Boo" flicking sunmi in the head.
