Chapter 224: The Power of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon

Chapter 224: The Power of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon

If the two could be combined, the name could be called the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon, or the Electromagnetic Plasma Cannon.

To simplify it further, it could be called Plasma Electrocannon or Electro Plasma Cannon.

"Let's give it a try!"

He directly apparated to a deserted clearing on the outskirts of New York. After setting up a Muggle-repelling charm and a ritual barrier in advance, he began experimenting.

"Plasma Cannon!"

Clapping his hands together and then slowly pulling them apart, a plasma ball about the size of an egg gradually formed between his palms.

Following the normal procedure, he only needed to aim this plasma ball at a target and launch it to complete this magic.

But he didn't. While trying to maintain the plasma ball, his body was instantly covered by electricity, and he began to channel electrical power from his hands into the plasma ball.

As he infused electricity, the plasma ball grew in size — from an egg to the size of an apple, and then slowly to the size of a pear.

Unfortunately, before he could continue injecting electricity, a lapse in control caused the entire plasma ball to explode.

A crater over ten meters deep was blasted into the ground on the spot.

Fortunately, his physique was strong, and he could control electricity, so he wasn't injured.

"Again!"

After the first failed attempt, he didn't give up and kept trying.

Fusing superpowers with magic to create a new move was not an easy task.

This was different from when he had combined ancient magic with the Thunder Giant.

Though it was called a combination, in reality, he simply used ancient magic to unleash a large amount of lightning, which the Thunder Giant then absorbed to strengthen itself.

Even without ancient magic, using technological devices to release large amounts of lightning for the Thunder Giant to absorb would produce a similar effect — it didn't require much technical skill.

Time and again, he tried and failed. George let his main body and his otherworldly clones temporarily put aside their tasks to focus primarily on developing the Electro Plasma Cannon.

Five days later, thanks to five bodies researching simultaneously — and with the Time-Turner from the Harry Potter world, effectively making it six bodies working together — the total effort equaled about thirty days.

He finally succeeded in creating this new move, which fused superpower and magic: the Electro Plasma Cannon.

"Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon!"

Standing in the clearing, he pulled his hands apart, forming a plasma cannonball the size of an egg. He fiercely injected electricity into it until it grew to the size of two basketballs, then forcefully pushed it forward.

Immediately, the cannonball the size of two basketballs shot out a beam of plasma that struck a small mountain over 300 meters tall on the opposite side.

The center of the mountain instantly vaporized, turning into a massive hole.

But that wasn't all the power of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon — the plasma beam didn't disappear but continued to exist.

George waved the beam left and right, and the mountain was cleanly sliced in half by the plasma.

The effect of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon resembled a special move from a mobile game he had played in his past life, where a little girl unleashed a fiery column as her ultimate skill.

Except the girl shot fire, while he shot plasma.

About ten seconds later, the plasma beam dissipated, and George let out a slight sigh of relief.

Maintaining the plasma beam was not easy — even after days of research and practice, he could only sustain it for up to ten seconds.

Still, its power greatly satisfied him.

Once his superpower level reached level five, its power would be even greater.

"Too bad I can't use it in Thunder Giant form."

Looking at the destroyed mountain in the distance, George sighed with some regret.

If he could use the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon while enhanced by ancient magic and the Thunder Giant, he might be able to instantly kill an average Saint Ten Mage.

The Thunder Giant worked by using electromagnetic force to attract iron sand, rocks, and soil from underground, ultimately releasing an enlarged electromagnetic cannon.

But the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon fused all electricity into the plasma itself, making it impossible to form the Thunder Giant or absorb the lightning from ancient magic.

Still, this problem wasn't unsolvable.

If his superpower level advanced from level four to five, he could divide his electricity — half to form the Thunder Giant, the other half to power the Plasma Cannon — and do both at once.

Then, by absorbing the lightning from ancient magic, he could boost the overall power.

That way, he could unleash an ultimate Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon powerful enough to destroy an entire city.

"No rush, take it slow."

George apparated again, returning to David's underground lab beneath the subway.

"Next, I need to learn the Soul Separation Curse and the Soul Sealing Curse."

The Soul Separation Curse was a spell that could separate a person's soul from their body. Balthazar had used this very spell to extract Morgana's soul from Veronica's body.

If George wanted to get the Resurrection Spell from Morgana, he would have to release her alone. Otherwise, bringing Balthazar and David along would make it difficult to interrogate her for the spell.

If he released Morgana alone, he needed to prepare for two things.

The first was combat — he needed the strength to defeat Morgana on his own.

This wasn't a big issue. His Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon was definitely more powerful than David's machine gun plasma cannon, capable of finishing Morgana in one hit.

The main issue was the second part.

He had to separate Morgana's soul from Veronica's body — he couldn't risk destroying Veronica in the process.

Therefore, he needed to master the most difficult type of magic from the Merlin School — soul magic.

Since he was learning the Soul Separation Curse, he might as well also learn the Soul Sealing Curse, which in his view was a highly useful spell.

In the future, if he encountered an unkillable entity, he could directly seal it.

However, he had never previously studied soul-related magic, so it would likely take some time to learn.

But that was okay. He didn't urgently need to use these spells now, so he could take his time.

He might even be able to find knowledge related to soul magic from his clones in other worlds to help him master these spells faster.

For example, the dark magic Voldemort used to split his soul and create Horcruxes.

Of course, he wouldn't be foolish enough to split his soul and make Horcruxes like Voldemort and go insane, but the soul-related knowledge could be studied and referenced.

In fact, thinking about it carefully, his practice of splitting his soul to create clones across the multiverse was somewhat similar to Voldemort's creation of Horcruxes.

Each of his clones in other worlds was equivalent to a Horcrux — as long as one remained alive, he couldn't die.
