Chapter 353: The Miserable Kull
"George, quickly undo the magic circle!"
Lucien activated the divine power she inherited from her mother, preparing to sing a hypnotic melody once George released the seal.
Meanwhile, Galadriel once again unleashed the light power within her body, stepping forward to buy Lucien some time.
"No need. It's not time yet. You two stay back and support me. I'll take care of him."
George grabbed Galadriel by the collar with one hand, forcibly lifting her half-advanced body and placing her to the side. With the other hand, he covered Lucien's mouth to stop her from singing.
"You just—"
Lucien pried George's hand away from her mouth, her voice filled with worry.
George looked a lot better now, but she remembered clearly how weak he had been after demonstrating the magic that purified the Valley of Death.
"Don't worry. I've fully recovered."
George interrupted Lucien, smiling as he said,
"When I sparred with Galadriel earlier, I wasn't even using one-tenth of my power. Kull is no match for me."
He had remained weak in the Grey Elf Kingdom because he had been reluctant to absorb life force from the ancient trees there—after all, they were carefully nurtured by Melian.
Moreover, the treants who protected the trees lived there too, and absorbing the trees' life force would make them hostile toward him.
But this wasn't the Grey Elf Kingdom. He had already replenished his life force just now.
"George, stop boasting! You didn't even use one-tenth of your power when fighting me?"
Galadriel, who had been listening to their conversation, looked extremely unconvinced.
She admitted that George was stronger than her, but not that much stronger.
"You'll see soon enough if I'm boasting or not."
George smiled, spread his wings, and soared into the sky, silently chanting a spell in his heart.
"Animagus Transformation!"
His body rapidly expanded, and in the blink of an eye, the human George transformed into a giant dragon 500 meters long.
This was the first winged dragon to ever appear in Middle-earth. Although Glaurung, created by Morgoth, was the first progenitor dragon of this world, he had no wings and couldn't fly.
"What... how can this be... this isn't... it can't be..."
Kull, who had been looking at George like a clown just moments ago, now stared in shock.
He had seen winged dragons before—but those were Morgoth's newly created species, which hadn't even fully matured yet. How could a human turn into one of his master's new creations?
Three hundred years ago, Morgoth had created the first progenitor dragon, Glaurung. But Morgoth was not satisfied with Glaurung's power.
So, while nurturing Glaurung, he also optimized his design.
After Glaurung was fully cultivated, Morgoth finally created dragons with even greater potential and perfection—winged dragons. The most perfect among them was named Ancalagon.
However, these new dragons were still unfinished, absorbing power and growing deep beneath the Angband volcano.
"Light Magic: Fairy Law!"
Before Kull could even figure out what connection that human had with his master Morgoth, a magic circle ten times larger than the first one had already formed. The immense light energy caused his expression to change dramatically.
In his dragon form, George's physical body, magical ability, and life force were all far stronger than in human form. As a result, the power of his Fairy Law spell was exponentially greater.
Boom!
A blinding white light descended once again upon the Valley of Death. All vampires—except for Kull—were instantly turned to ash under that light.
This time, George didn't concentrate his attack on Kull. There was no need. He didn't care about the extra life force it cost him to eliminate the other vampires.
"AAAAAH!!!"
Even with the protection of the Ring of Power, Kull screamed in agony as the light burned him.
"Light Magic: Fairy Law!"
As soon as the spell ended, George immediately unleashed another.
In dragon form, his life force recovered rapidly. He could cast Fairy Law over a dozen times before needing to devour trees to replenish himself.
Kull, a Maia corrupted by Morgoth and twisted into a form resembling an Orc, feared light more than anything.
So George saw no reason to use other spells. Repeatedly attacking with the magic most effective against the enemy would yield the best results.
After five consecutive casts, Kull couldn't hold on any longer. He knew that if this continued, his physical form would be completely destroyed.
He immediately used transformation magic, turning into a terrifying giant serpent and trying to flee into the distance while enduring the light magic.
Dignity was nothing compared to survival—when it was time to flee, flee he must.
Unfortunately, he had barely gotten far when he was stopped by an invisible wall. No matter how many times he tried to break through with explosive force, he couldn't get past it.
This was the effect of George's Five Elements Kabbalah Sealing Array.
With the searing pain from the light energy burning his body, Kull calmed himself to observe the magic circle. As one of the most learned Maia, though it was his first time seeing this kind of array, he quickly found the key.
The focus of the array was the five elemental giants. If he destroyed just one, the array would automatically collapse, and he could escape.
He instantly lunged forward and bit at the earth giant nearest to him.
In his giant serpent form, Kull's physical strength was immense. With a light bite, the stone-made earth giant instantly crumbled into dust.
"How can this be!"
But to his shock, less than a second later, the earth giant reformed.
No matter how many times he destroyed it, the earth giant would regenerate.
He then tried attacking the gold, wood, water, and fire giants—but the result was the same. Destroying the elemental giants was completely ineffective.
George watched Kull from above, neither interrupting his actions nor launching sneak attacks during the Fairy Law barrage.
His thoughts were simple: the more Kull was weakened by Fairy Law, the easier he would be to deal with later. So he decided to let him waste his strength.
Kull was trapped and wouldn't be escaping any time soon.
With his vast knowledge, Kull might be able to eventually crack the array—if given a few days. But within a few hours, it was absolutely impossible.
After all, the array George used wasn't based on magic from this world alone—it was a fusion of magical knowledge from multiple worlds.
"Let's end this!"
When Kull realized he couldn't destroy the array, he reacted quickly, unleashing all his dark power and flying into the sky to bite at George's neck.
If he couldn't escape, then he would fight to the death.
