2 FIRST MOMENTS

Five hours into the flight, Jungkook and his first officer were replaced by the second set of pilots in the flight. It was almost five in the morning and it was time for them to take a break and sleep.

Before Jungkook went to the cabin, he had to go to the lavatory first which was located right beside the first class area. As he was about to enter the lavatory, he saw Taehyung sleeping soundly on his seat.

Jungkook walked over to him and saw that Taehyung still had his glasses on, an open book lying face down on his chest, and the overhead reading light on.

He's so beautiful. Jungkook thought to himself.

Without thinking, he took off Taehyung's eye glasses and placed it on a slot on the arm chair. He then removed the book slowly and set it aside as well. After that, he turned off the reading light and proceeded to go to the lavatory.

Namjoon and Jin saw it all as the latter was handing over a blanket to his husband.

"Interesting." Jin said.

"Is he like that to all the passengers?" Namjoon asked.

"Well, did you see him spare the others here a glance? He went straight to Taehyung." Jin said.

"He's a pilot, honey." Namjoon said.

"And I'm an FA. Care to share your thoughts on that?" Jin asked with eyebrow raised.

"I didn't mean it that way, hon. You know how Taehyung feels about pilots." Namjoon said.

"Correction. Pilot. His father's definitely not an ideal representative for all pilots, you know." Jin said.

"I know that, but Taehyung thinks otherwise." Namjoon said.

"Let's see. It's too early to tell what's going to happen. For all we know, Captain Jeon could be straight and that's game over for my ship." Jin said.

"Your ship?" Namjoon asked.

"Yeah. Jungkook-Taehyung ship. Taehyung was asking me questions about Captain Jeon earlier. Apparently, they had a conversation at the airport." Jin asked.

"Yeah, I saw them." Namjoon said.

"And?" Jin asked.

"And, what? They were just talking." Namjoon said.

"Oh, next time, use your investigative skills to work." Jin said.

"Honey, I'm a bodyguard. Not an investigator." Namjoon said.

"Whatever. Anyway, go back to sleep now. We still have around nine hours before we reach Dubai." Jin said.

"Can I have a kiss at least?" Namjoon asked.

"No can do. I'm working honey. I love you." Jin said as he blew Namjoon a kiss.

"I love you too." Namjoon said as he smiled back at Jin and prepared to go back to sleep.

Meanwhile, Jin went straight to the sleeping area where Captain Jeon, the first officer and another fellow FA were already at.

"Jin hyung, I heard that your husband is also in the flight?" Jackson asked.

"Yes, he's on duty too." Jin answered.

"On duty? Why, what does he do?" Jackson asked.

"He's a bodyguard." Jin said.

"Oh, I didn't see any celebrities on board. Who is he guarding?" First officer, Kim Suhyoon said.

"The heir of Cypher Airways, of course." Jin said.

"Huh? CEO Kim Ji-hoon's son is here?" Suhyoon said surprised.

"Yes, but he doesn't like people to know who he is that's why there are very rare photos of him online. He likes to keep his identity lowkey. That's why he's thankful that he has an older brother who will take over the company as he has no interest in the business." Jin explained.

"Oh, where is he seated?" Jackson asked.

"First class, seat A1." Jin said.

With that, Jungkook abruptly looked at Jin almost snapping his neck in the process.

"Taehyung?" Jungkook asked.

"Yes, Captain. I didn't know you were in a first name basis with my Taebear." Jin teased.

"Taebear?" Jungkook curiously asked.

"Yeah. I call him that. He's like a little brother to me...actually, a son to some extent." Jin said.

"I see." Jungkook said as he turned sideways to face the wall of the plane.

Jin sat on the bed opposite him and couldn't help but fish for some more information. He went a bit closer to Jungkook so that the two others in the cabin won't hear.

"If you have questions about Taehyung, you can ask me." Jin said.

Jungkook turned around and looked at Jin.

"Why would I ask about Taehyung?" Jungkook said.

"No reason. I'm just simply saying that if you want to know more about him, you know who to ask." Jin said with a smile before lying down on the bunk bed.

Jungkook just looked at him and then cleared his throat.

"Why does he hate pilots so much?" Jungkook asked and with that Jin sprang up and then faced the young captain, as if he was expecting that he would ask something.

"Because his father was a womanizer when he was a pilot. Taehyung witnessed how broken his mother was and even convinced himself that the reason why his mother eventually had cancer was because of the stress she had to go through with her husband. His mother passed away when he was 21. A year later, his father re-married to someone who's about the same age as he was. Eversince then, Taehyung and his hyung barely talked to their father." Jin shared.

Jungkook just nodded.

"He graduated at Yale University, double major - Fine Arts and Creative Writing. His birthday is December 30. His favorite color is grey, favorite food Japchae. He wants to have a family someday with a loving husband two kids and two dogs. His most favortie thing to do is travel, write and paint. He can sing very well too." Jin rambled on, making Jungkook laugh after he finished talking.

Jin was pleasantly surprised at the captain's reaction.

"You know, Cap, you should smile and laugh more. It suits you." Jin said.

"Thanks hyung. Now, goodnight." Jungkook said, returning to his original position with his back facing Jin.

"Goodnight, Cap. Sweet dreams." Jin said before the two of them finally slept.

Taehyung woke up around 9:30 am and went straight to the lavatory to freshen up. Seeing it was occupied, he stood outside and waited.

A few minutes later, the door opened and right at that second, a bad turbulence hit the plane causing Taehyung to lose his balance and fall forward towards the open lavatory.

Thankfully, the person inside caught him and they ended up hugging each other. The plane was still shaking badly causing Taehyung to tighten his hug on the person. He's quite scared when turbulence occurs, so he was having cold sweat and his breathing started to become uneven.

"M-make it s-stop. P-please make it s-stop." Taehyung said as he started crying.

"Hey, hey Taehyung. It's me Jungkook. I got you. It'll be over in a few seconds. Just hold on to me. Everything's going to be okay." Jungkook whispered in Taehyung's ear as he hugged the younger tightly.

After a few minutes, the plane steadied and the alternate pilot apologized for the inconvenience.

"It's over now, Taebear." Jungkook said.

"W-what did you just c-call me?" Taehyung said in between sobs as he pulled away slightly and looked at Jungkook.

"Sorry. I just thought it would help calm you down. Jin hyung said that's what he calls you." Jungkook said.

"Y-yeah. It's just that my eomma used to call me that too." Taehyung said.

The two of them stared at each other's eyes until Taehyung pulled away.

"I-I'm sorry. You must think I'm pathetic." Taehyung said.

"Not really. Adorable is the word I'd use." Jungkook said making Taehyung's face warm up.

"You can use the lavatory now, but I suggest you immediately go back to your seat right after, okay? And wear your seatbelt for the time being until the pilot says you can remove it." Jungkook softly said before getting out of the lavatory.

"Thank you, Jungkook. I'm sorry again." Tarhyung said.

"Don't mention it. I'll see you in Dubai later?" Jungkook asked.

"Okay. See you." Taehyung said as he slowly closed the lavatory door.

Taehyung faced himself in the mirror and he saw his ears and cheeks all red. His hair was all over the place and there were dark spots under his eyes.

"Fuck! He saw me up close like this?!" Taehyung wanted to cry. But, he remembered what Jungkook said about going back to his seat immediately. So, he quickly finished his business in the lavatory and went out.

As he was walking back to his seat, someone suddenly pulled him to the FA area.

"Kim Taehyung! Why did I see Captain Jeon coming out of the same lavatory as you were in? Are you a member of the Mile High Club now, young man?" Jin asked.

"What?! Hyung! Ewww! I wouldn't do it on a lavatory of a plane! Or any comfort room for that matter!" Taehyung said.

"Then, why were you in there with him?" Jin asked.

"It was an accident, okay? He happened to be on his way out when the turbulence happened and I fell in his arms." Taehyung said.

"And then?" Jin asked.

"What do you mean and then? And then, that was it!" Taehyung said.

"Aish, Taehyung! That was your chance." Jin said.

"My chance to what?" Taehyung asked.

"You could've at least kissed him." Jin said.

Taehyung looked at him as he shook his head. "Hyung, stop reading my books. They're making you delusional." He said, before walking away.

Jin scoffed. My padawan needs some more training. He thought before going back to the First Class cabin to see if anyone needed assistance.

Taehyung settled on his seat and wore his seatbelt. His hands stayed on the hinge of the seatbelt, afraid that another turbulence could happen any minute. He looked outside the plain to see if he coukd see anything other than the clouds, but all he saw was a long stretch of water making him shiver.

He actually hated flying, but since he loves to travel and he doesn't need to pay for the air fare — given that it was their airline — he just conditions his mind and focuses on the destination.

While he was lost in his thoughts, the PA system of the plane turned on.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. I have turned off the Fasten Seat Belt sign. For your continued safety, Cypher Aiways now requires that you keep your seat belt fastened at all times while seated." Jungkook announced.

Huh? Isn't that an FA spiel? Why was he the one saying it? Taehyung thought. So, he looked at Jin who was talking to his fellow FA, looking confused as well. He was then surprised that the two FAs looked at him.

He mouthed a "what" to Jin and the latter approached him.

"Looks like the Captain wanted to personally deliver his message to someone." Jin teased.

"What are you talking about?" Taehyung asked.

"Well, Captain Jeon called our interphone to tell Jackson that he'll take care of the announcement." Jin said.

"Is he even allowed to do that?" Taehyung asked.

"He's the captain. I'm not allowed to question him." Jin said.

"He will be flying until we reach Dubai right?" Taehyung asked.

"Yes. Why do you ask?" Jin curiously asked.

"Um, he said that he will see me in Dubai but he failed to mention exactly where we should see each other." Taehyung said.

"You're looking forward to it?" Jin teased.

"Oh, forget it. It might have been a rhetorical question." Taehyung said.

"You two are so cute. I guess I'm now officially a bridge." Jin said.

"Why? Did he ask you about me?" Tarhyung asked.

"He might have." Jin said.

"Hyung!" Taehyung whined.

"Oh just sit there and relax. Stop overthinking and just chill. You're so impatient." Jin said before going to another passenger who needed assistance.

Taehyung huffed and took out his sketch book and started drawing. After an hour, he looked at his drawing and smiled. It was Jungkook's eyes.

Under the drawing he wrote, "Lost in your eyes."
