The day after the council meeting, I knew I had to take charge. If I wanted to stand out, I had to make my ideas shine. But there was one problem.
Rin Kazuki.
The moment we gathered for our planning session, he was already talking.
"I've got some contacts who could get us professional equipment for the concert," Rin said, flashing his perfect smile.
Before I could even speak, May's eyes lit up. "That sounds amazing, Rin-kun!"
Not this time.
"Actually," I cut in, "what if we let the students handle everything? It'd give more people a chance to participate and show their creativity."
May looked thoughtful. "That… sounds nice too."
Rin raised an eyebrow, his smile never wavering. "But wouldn't professional gear make things more exciting?"
"We'd lose the heart of the event," I said firmly. "This should be about the students, not just a flashy show."
For the first time, Rin looked slightly annoyed.
May nodded slowly. "I like Isagi's idea."
Victory.
But the war was far from over.
