The Spotlight Together

The sun dipped low in the sky as the evening event approached, casting a golden glow over the bustling café. Outside, lights were being strung up and decorations placed carefully around the open area where the event would take place. The air hummed with excitement and anticipation.

Inside the café, Mr. Sakamoto gathered Isagi and May for a final briefing.

"Alright, you two," Mr. Sakamoto began, his warm smile filled with encouragement. "You'll be the hosts tonight. It's a small customer appreciation event — we've got games, a raffle, and some live music. Your job is to keep the energy up and make sure everyone's having a great time. Think you can handle it?"

May's eyes sparkled. "Absolutely! We'll make sure it's a night to remember!"

Isagi, though more reserved, nodded with determination. "We won't let you down."

As the evening unfolded, the café transformed into a lively festival-like atmosphere. String lights twinkled overhead, and the gentle strum of an acoustic guitar filled the air. Families and friends gathered around, laughter rising from the crowd.

May took the microphone first. "Welcome, everyone! Thank you so much for joining us tonight! We hope you enjoy the food, the fun, and the surprises we've got in store."

Isagi followed her lead, his voice steady. "We've got some amazing activities lined up, so stick around — and maybe you'll walk away with a raffle prize or two."

Their chemistry as hosts became evident right away. May's lively energy balanced Isagi's calm confidence perfectly. They teased each other on the mic, their banter drawing smiles and laughter from the crowd.

When it came time for the raffle, Isagi reached into the box of tickets with dramatic flair. "And the winner is…" He paused, drawing out the suspense.

May leaned closer, her smile mischievous. "Don't keep us waiting, Isagi!"

He pulled out the slip and grinned. "Ticket number 112! Congratulations!"

As the event continued, they moved seamlessly through games and announcements. Every shared glance and light touch between them felt natural, their teamwork creating a perfect rhythm.

As the night wound down and the final song played softly in the background, May turned to Isagi, her eyes shining. "You're really good at this, you know. I'm glad we got to do this together."

He felt his heart race, the moment so perfect it almost felt unreal. "Me too," he said softly. "Tonight wouldn't have been the same without you."

The new arc was bringing them closer — and the moment to confess felt nearer than ever.
