Meanwhile, as Kyoji was trying to wrap his head around the information he had just received from Frederick, Frederick himself was getting more and more nervous with each passing second of Kyoji's silence.
Seeing that Kyoji still hadn't said a word, Frederick started to panic a little inside. He thought maybe Kyoji was angry or upset with him.
"If you want, I can tell the public that it was you who killed the mutant," Frederick muttered.
There was silence again. Frederick stared at Kyoji, hoping to read something from his face, but there was nothing. Kyoji's expression didn't change at all.
Then, after a brief moment of thinking, Kyoji finally responded, "There's no need for that."
"Huh?" Frederick asked, unsure if he heard right.
"I said there's no need for that. Since they already believe you killed it, let it stay that way," Kyoji said calmly.
