Only through experiencing the harshness of the world could this arrogant young girl truly mature.

A large hand gently patted Xiao Wu's soft hair before lifting her up.

"Let me go! Let me go! If you don't let me go, my mom will come back and beat you to death!"

Xiao Wu was still trying to intimidate Ye Wen in a desperate attempt to escape.

"Heh, is your mother that beautiful woman who just fought the Title Douluo outside the city?"

At these words, Xiao Wu froze. The fact that this person had detected the earlier battle clearly meant he was no ordinary individual.

Her heart sank like ashes. From a young age, she had heard Ah Rou repeatedly warn her about what would happen if a 100,000-year soul beast fell into human hands.

"Waaahhh…"

Overwhelmed by despair, the once unruly Xiao Wu could no longer maintain her tough facade and began sobbing uncontrollably.

The reason Xiao Wu had transformed into human form was that her rapid cultivation from an ordinary soul beast to a 100,000-year soul beast left her with weak foundations. Her lineage wasn't suited for defense or attack, and she lacked the strength to endure the heavenly tribulation that awaited her after 1,000 years.

But fate wouldn't give her time to accumulate strength. As time passed, Xiao Wu found herself only a century away from facing the lightning tribulation.

However, having lived so freely in the depths of the Star Dou Great Forest, Xiao Wu was unwilling to perish under the tribulation. With Ah Rou's protection, she decided to take a gamble by transforming into human form and entering the human world.

Even if she couldn't ascend to godhood, ancient legends claimed that soul beasts who transformed into humans possessed unparalleled talent, easily reaching the level of a Title Douluo and gaining at least 300 more years of life. Plus, she could experience the vibrant colors of the human world.

Ah Rou, who had originally intended to enter the deeper parts of the Star Dou Great Forest to search for her long-lost partner, was forced to accompany Xiao Wu into the human world due to her daughter's circumstances.

Ah Rou, who had mastered transformation techniques even before reaching 200,000 years of cultivation, had entered the human world multiple times. She understood the dangers of human society better than any other soul beast. She couldn't bear to let Xiao Wu venture out alone. After all, a 100,000-year soul beast wandering aimlessly without human-world experience was practically asking for death.

As Ah Rou had feared, Xiao Wu had barely started school when she encountered a Title Douluo.

What terrible luck.

"There, there, little girl. Calm down. If I truly had ill intentions toward you, I wouldn't be explaining so much. Come with me and watch your mother's battle for now.

A 150,000-year Soft Boned Jade Rabbit is quite rare indeed."

Without waiting for Xiao Wu to react, Ye Wen teleported them just outside the range of Ah Rou and Tang Hao's battle.

The two combatants were considerate enough to move their fight to the mountains, sparing the nearby villages from collateral damage.

Otherwise, Ye Wen wouldn't have hesitated to step in and pin both of them to the ground. It was excessive for battles between powerful individuals to harm the lowly peasants struggling to survive.

Ah Rou maintained her human form during the fight and didn't revert to her original shape.

It made sense—after all, a rabbit's physique wasn't suited for combat.

Among rabbit-type soul beasts, Soft Boned Rabbits were one of the few advanced variants. Though their combat abilities were lacking, their speed was top-tier, and their ability to evade even frustrated many super soul beasts.

Ah Rou's true form had evolved from an advanced Soft Boned Rabbit into a Soft Boned Jade Rabbit due to her immense cultivation period. She possessed extraordinary speed, explosive power, and had even developed spiritual attributes. At 150,000 years of cultivation, she could rival a Super Douluo at level 96.

Other Title Douluos might struggle against Ah Rou, but Tang Hao was no ordinary opponent.

Tang Hao's gaze turned icy, a stark contrast to his earlier joy upon sensing Xiao Wu.

"I thought I could prepare another 100,000-year soul ring for Xiao San. It seems this won't end peacefully. I'll kill the larger one and take her spirit bone, then cripple the smaller one and keep her alive until Xiao San needs her."

Tang Hao's killing intent surged. Battles between Title Douluos shouldn't last too long, as they could attract unwanted attention from other soul masters. He planned to end this quickly.

"Boom—uh!"

"Uh…"

Just as Tang Hao prepared to unleash his ultimate technique, a sudden noise startled him.

He quickly leapt back and turned toward Ye Wen.

At the same time, Ah Rou noticed Ye Wen as well—or rather, she noticed Xiao Wu, who was tearfully clinging to Ye Wen's side.

Seeing her mother, Xiao Wu instinctively tried to run toward her.

But the villainous Ye Wen grabbed her braided pigtail and said kindly, "Little girl, it's dangerous here. Don't move around carelessly."

Xiao Wu froze, trembling despite knowing that Ye Wen likely didn't intend to kill her. Watching this scene, Ah Rou felt as though her heart was being torn apart.

But Ah Rou, known for her wisdom and centuries of cultivation, understood that anyone daring to intervene in this battle was no ordinary human soul master—at the very least, a Title Douluo.

Facing two Title Douluos, Ah Rou struggled just to protect herself, let alone rescue her precious Xiao Wu.

Though Ye Wen seemed vaguely familiar, this wasn't the time for sentimentality. In front of the Blood River's treasures, there was no room for familial bonds.

Tang Hao coldly asked, "Who are you?"

Ye Wen glanced at Tang Hao and replied, "It's been so long, yet the once-glorious Twin Stars of Hao Tian have fallen so far as to neglect even their appearance? How disappointing."

The tone suggested familiarity. Tang Hao tensed—when he was younger, he had offended many, and few remained friendly toward him.

"Who are you? Speak now, or I'll act."

'This Tang Hao is truly impatient,' Ye Wen thought. But he wasn't afraid. Instead, he calmly introduced himself.

"Hao Tian Douluo, your memory truly fails you when it matters most.

I am the principal of Tianxing Academy, Ye Wen.

Do you recall me now?"

"Tianxing Academy?!" Tang Hao's pupils dilated as memories of his past humiliation resurfaced.

"You!"

Confirming Ye Wen as an enemy, Tang Hao immediately summoned his soul power, intending to finish him off in one swift move.

In his mind, even if Ye Wen had become a Title Douluo over the years, he was no match for Tang Hao.

"Sigh, why so impatient?"

A hammer strike, heavy as thousands of jin, passed through Ye Wen's body as if he were merely a mirage. This reminded Tang Hao of a terrifying technique from the past.

Daring not underestimate Ye Wen, Tang Hao quickly retreated.

Looking at Ye Wen's calm demeanor, Tang Hao felt his throat dry. Clearly, this man was far more than just a Title Douluo.

His abilities countered Tang Hao's own in an extreme way.

"Can we talk now, Tang Hao?"
