The alley was filled with tension. The Revenant stood tall, its glowing red veins pulsating like a ticking time bomb, while Kairo and his team spread out, ready to fight. The air was thick with dust and the lingering scent of blood.

The cybernetic beast tilted its head, grinning.

"You think you stand a chance?" its distorted voice taunted. "You should've accepted the Kingpin's offer."

Kairo clenched his fists. "I don't bow to tyrants."

Without another word, the Revenant lunged.

It moved like a blur—inhumanly fast.

Kairo barely dodged the first strike, but the sheer force of the wind pressure behind the Revenant's punch nearly knocked him off balance.

BOOM!

The pavement shattered where the Revenant's fist landed, sending debris flying.

Darius roared, launching himself forward, his brute strength clashing against the monstrous figure. He swung a devastating punch, aiming for the Revenant's head.

The Revenant caught his fist mid-air.

"What—?!" Darius's eyes widened.

Before he could react, the Revenant twisted his arm—SNAP!

Darius grunted in pain as he was sent flying across the alley, crashing into a dumpster.

"Darius!" Lena shouted.

Sorin took the opportunity, darting in with his enhanced speed. He aimed for the joints—the weak points of any cybernetic augmentation.

His fists struck true—fast and precise.

But the Revenant barely flinched.

"Cute," it muttered, grabbing Sorin by the throat and slamming him into the ground. CRACK!

Lena and Ronan attacked in unison.

Lena's knives flashed, aiming for the Revenant's exposed neck, while Ronan fired two precise shots toward its cybernetic joints.

TINK! TINK!

The bullets ricocheted.

The knives barely scratched it.

"What the hell is this thing made of?" Ronan cursed.

Arin pulled out an energy charge, throwing it directly at the Revenant's feet.

BOOM!

A wave of heat and fire erupted, engulfing the beast. Smoke filled the alley, hiding the monstrous figure from sight.

For a moment—there was silence.

Then—a deep chuckle.

The smoke cleared, revealing the Revenant completely unharmed.

It grinned wider. "Not bad. But not good enough."

Kairo's system flashed a warning.

Kairo's eyes narrowed. "We need to hit its chest!"

Lena and Sorin understood immediately. They repositioned, preparing a coordinated strike.

The Revenant charged again.

Kairo activated Phantom Step, dodging at the last second. He twisted his body, aiming a powerful kick at the Revenant's exposed ribs.

BAM!

The Revenant staggered slightly—but not enough.

Ronan and Arin followed up, unleashing another barrage of gunfire at its chest. Sparks flew as bullets dented the cybernetic armor.

The Revenant growled. "Annoying."

Kairo saw his chance.

He activated Adaptive Counter, reading the Revenant's next move.

As the monster swung its massive arm, Kairo sidestepped, grabbing its wrist mid-motion.

With a grunt of effort, he shifted his weight—redirecting the Revenant's momentum.

The cybernetic beast was momentarily thrown off balance.

"NOW!" Kairo shouted.

Lena leaped forward, her knives glowing with energy. She plunged them into the Revenant's chest—directly at the core.

BZZT! Sparks erupted as the knives pierced the overclocking core.

The Revenant's eyes widened. "You—!"

Sorin followed with a devastating strike, driving his fist into the same spot.

CRACK!

The Revenant stumbled back, its body spasming as the core inside began to overload.

"Time to end this," Kairo muttered.

His system flashed.

Kairo lunged forward, his entire body moving with unnatural speed. He drove his fist directly into the exposed core.

BOOOOOM!

The Revenant exploded from the inside out.

The force of the blast sent Kairo skidding backward, his ears ringing. Smoke and sparks filled the alley.

When it finally cleared—the Revenant was nothing more than a smoldering heap of metal and flesh.

The team stood in silence for a moment, catching their breath.

Lena wiped her brow. "That… was insane."

Sorin groaned, holding his ribs. "I think I broke something."

Darius, limping, chuckled. "Join the club."

Kairo exhaled. They had won.

But deep down, he knew—this was just the beginning.

The Eclipse Syndicate wouldn't take this loss lightly.

And whatever Project Revenant was—this was only the first of many.
