Kairo's hand throbbed in Valkir's grip. The pressure was unbearable, like steel clamps crushing his bones. His mind raced. He had fought strong opponents before, but this… this was different.

Valkir's glowing red eyes flickered with amusement as he observed Kairo's struggle. "Disappointing," he murmured. "I was hoping for a challenge."

Kairo barely had time to react before Valkir launched him across the chamber. He crashed into a steel console, the impact leaving a deep dent in the metal.

Pain flooded his body, but Kairo forced himself to stand. His breath was ragged, his vision blurred. He needed to find a weakness.

Rhea's cybernetic eyes locked onto Valkir. "Got it."

Arin clenched her fists, energy crackling around her. "Let's end this."

Rhea dashed forward, blades extending from her arms. She slashed at Valkir's chest, forcing him to step back.

Arin unleashed a concussive blast, the explosion knocking him off balance.

Lena, still injured, fired a charged plasma shot at his knee. The force made him stumble.

His fist collided with Valkir's core.

For the first time, Valkir grunted.

Kairo felt it. The impact went through. His system flared.

"There!" Kairo shouted. "He's not indestructible!"

Valkir's eyes narrowed. The amusement was gone.
