Selvia was silent, her mind and soul tormented as she watched Yulius angrily storm out of the house. She couldn't bring herself to say another word as he took their son, Kenzo. Her body trembled violently, and her heart broke as she heard her son cry out for her.
A week had passed, and now Selvia found herself facing Yulius in front of a lawyer. The once-loving couple, now bitter enemies, were fighting for custody of their son, Kenzo.
"I have to get custody of the child," Yulius said, his gaze cold and angry as it bore into Selvia.
"Please, Ius, let Kenzo stay with me," Selvia pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "He's just five years old."
"I would never let a whore like you take care of my son," he spat, his words cutting deeper than a knife.
"Watch your mouth, Yulius!" Selvia shouted, her anger flaring.
"What? Huh, what can you do? You're jobless, useless, and I'm the one paying for everything you need," he sneered.
"I don't have a job right now, but I'll find one. I will support my son. Please, let Kenzo stay with me."
"You should think about what you're doing," Yulius shot back, his voice laced with bitterness. "You cheated on me with that bastard. Maybe that's why Kenzo is still with you."
"You were the one who cheated first, Ius, not me," Selvia retorted, her eyes burning with the need to defend herself.
"So what? If I cheated on you first, does that make your actions right?" Yulius mocked her cruelly. "Do you think cheating back will make me regret it? In fact, it gave me the chance to get rid of you. You stupid woman, Selvia!" he laughed bitterly.
Selvia felt physically and mentally drained from the constant barrage of cruelty. She admitted her affair was wrong, but all she ever wanted was to make Yulius feel the pain of betrayal. For five years, he had tormented her with harsh words, humiliation, and even domestic violence.
"Please, Ius. Please don’t take my child," Selvia whispered, her voice barely audible as tears welled in her eyes.
Yulius had made up his mind—Kenzo would never see her again. Before leaving the lawyer’s office, Yulius told the lawyer that their divorce needed to be finalized as soon as possible.
Hours later, the divorce was finalized. Selvia returned home, feeling physically drained but worse mentally. The pain of losing her son—the child she had given birth to—was unbearable.
"What should I do?" she muttered, her heart heavy.
"I need to call Daniel. He promised he would help me if I ever left Yulius."
She called him several times, but there was no answer. Daniel was the man she had turned to for revenge on Yulius' unfaithfulness. Yulius had never been faithful, often changing partners. When she confronted him, he simply slapped her or abused her.
"I need to go to Daniel's apartment tomorrow. He has to keep his promise," Selvia decided, wiping her tears as she resolved to confront him.
She arrived at Daniel’s apartment the next morning, desperate to hold him accountable. She pressed the bell button several times, but there was no answer.
"Where the hell is that bastard Daniel?" she muttered angrily. "What the hell is going on?"
Her anger flared, but deep down, there was an emptiness. The man who had once been her lover was now gone, and he had no intention of taking responsibility for her.
"You insolent man!" she raged. "After everything, you just leave me? You son of a bitch! I want you dead, Daniel!"
Once again, she felt abandoned, alone. She walked to her car, the tears falling uncontrollably. Her heart ached with the loss, and she didn’t expect the man who once claimed to love and protect her to disappear without a word.
"Why does it have to be like this, God? Why does it have to be like this?" she sobbed, clutching her chest as the pain intensified.
Selvia wiped her tears, taking a shaky breath as she gripped the steering wheel. Confused and unsure of her next move, she realized she had nowhere to turn. Both her parents were dead, and her younger brother hadn’t spoken to her since her affair with Daniel.
When Selvia arrived home, she saw a Hummer H3 parked in her yard. She sighed deeply. It was her husband’s luxury car, and she wasn’t ready to face the man who was soon to be her ex-husband.
"You’re finally home," Yulius said coldly, his tone detached.
"What are you doing here?" Selvia demanded angrily.
"I have many things to take care of, including this house," Yulius replied, his words laced with bitterness.
"What do you mean?"
"I want you out of my house. We're getting a divorce, and you don’t have the right to live here anymore."
"This is my house!" she retorted, her voice shaking with frustration.
"Haha, when did this become your home?" Yulius laughed cruelly. "My parents gave me this house and everything in it. Even the car you’re driving belongs to them."
"Why? Why are you doing this, Ius?" she cried out.
"You’re just a whore who deserves to be treated this way. Discarded, destroyed," he sneered.
"You started this, Ius," Selvia cried, unable to hold back her anger. "If you hadn’t cheated on me so many times, I wouldn’t have done it."
"If I cheated on you, is it fair that you cheated on me too?" Yulius retorted with a mocking laugh.
Selvia was at a loss for words. She felt foolish for having been seduced by Daniel, that bastard.
"If only your pussy wasn’t so desperate for another man’s touch, you would still be my wife, and you wouldn’t have lost Kenzo," Yulius spat.
"You’re disgusting, Ius! You never even touched me. You never provided for me during our marriage," Selvia fired back.
"So now it’s my fault? You go wild like that because I didn’t touch you enough? You bitch! I regret marrying you. You just turned into a sex-starved slut."
"Stop it! Please stop, Yulius! Don’t insult me anymore, I beg you."
Selvia covered her ears, unable to bear the words from the man she had once loved.
"Cover your ears all you want, but it won’t change the fact that you’re a bitch," Yulius shouted, his words venomous. "You’re useless and deserve to be throw away."
"Enough!" Selvia shouted, her voice shaking with emotion.
"Yes, I am wasting my time with women like you. I’ll give you a week to pack your things and leave my house. The car you’re using is yours—consider it a charity. I wouldn’t want to drive a used car from a bitch like you even if I bought it," Yulius said, before walking away.
Selvia was left crying, the weight of the world crushing her chest. She wanted to scr
eam, to fight back, but what power did she have? If she did, things would only get worse.
