Andre is acting suspiciously

The night grew late, the clock hands already pointing to 1 in the morning. A woman couldn't sleep, waiting for the man she loved to come home. Diandra looked at the clock on the nightstand beside her bed.

"Why can't I reach Andre's phone?" Diandra was busy calling Andre, but there was no answer.

"Where are you, Andre? I'm getting worried."

Diandra went downstairs to the living room, hoping her husband would return soon. While waiting for her husband to come home, she looked at her phone, reading the novel Miss L.

Unbeknownst to her, it was already 2 o'clock. Diandra grew more anxious as her husband still hadn't returned. She fell asleep on the living room sofa, waiting for Andre to come home.

Andre watched Selvia sleeping on the bed, unable to believe what he had done. He had slept with Selvia; the anger he felt when the woman was being touched by Bobby, his friend, made him lose control. Andre looked at his phone; there were dozens of missed calls from Diandra and hundreds of messages on the messenger app.

"I have to go home immediately; Diandra must be waiting for me," Andre said and immediately left the hotel.

Selvia heard the hotel room door close and pulled her blanket over her. She cried alone in the hotel room, a feeling of guilt gnawing at her heart.

"I'm sorry, Di, I'm so sorry," she said softly.

The sound of a car entering the yard made Diandra wake up from her sleep. The husband she had been waiting for had finally come home. Andre, who didn't have his keys with him, pressed the bell, sure that Diandra wasn't asleep waiting for him. Diandra opened the door and saw Andre angrily.

"Why are you just coming home at this hour? It's already 2 o'clock," Diandra said, annoyed.

"I'm sorry, we had a business dinner and then continued to entertain guests, Di," Andre replied, lying.

"Why didn't you tell me first? Why didn't you reply to my chat? Why didn't you answer my calls?"

"I already told you that I was busy and my phone was low batt."

"You usually always bring a power bank. This is the first time you've been like this, baby.”

"Enough, Di."

"And where's Mr. Budi? Why didn't he drive you home? He's your driver."

"Enough, Di, I'm tired. Let's talk again tomorrow." Andre didn't dare to look at Diandra's face, he avoided her.

Andre left Diandra alone in the living room. Andre went straight to his room and immediately went to the bathroom. He wanted to clean the remnants of his lovemaking with Selvia, which he didn't have time to do in the hotel room.

Diandra sighed, she was very upset. She went into the room, looking for Andre, but found her husband in the bathroom. Diandra heard the gurgling of water in the bathroom.

"Oh, Andre is taking a shower," Diandra said, climbing onto the bed. She pretended to be asleep, not wanting to talk to her husband.

Andre finished showering and saw Diandra already asleep on the bed. Seeing his wife's small body, he felt even more guilty. He had cheated on her once before with a karaoke guide, but not with someone Diandra knew. Only the women of the night were his mistresses when he was enjoying time with his friend, Bobby.

Diandra felt movement on the bed, her body position, which was turned away from Andre, made her only able to guess what Andre was doing. Andre decided to sleep, he wanted to rest, not wanting to think about anyone, neither Diandra nor Selvia.

The next morning

Diandra went through the morning as usual, preparing all of Andre's needs, her children's needs for school, and breakfast. Everything went normally as usual, but something was different. The chatter of Richie and Keira adorned their breakfast; Andre came down to have breakfast with his family, dressed neatly as if he were going to the office.

It's unusual for Andre to go to the office at this hour. Diandra said in her heart.

"Good morning, Papa's beloved children," Andre greeted, kissing Keira and Richie's foreheads.

"Good morning, Papa," Richie and Keira replied in unison.

"Good morning, sweetheart." Andre was about to kiss Diandra's forehead, but his wife moved her body to take the tea, avoiding him.

Seeing Diandra's rejection made Andre feel awkward. He tried to act normally so that Diandra wouldn't suspect anything. He knew Diandra must still be angry with him.

"Papa, why are you already neat? Are you going to the office?" Keira said, surprised to see Andre already dressed neatly, not as usual.

"Papa is going to the office, dear."

"But it's still morning, Pa. You never go to the office at 6 in the morning."

Andre couldn't answer Keira's words, it was impossible for him to say that he was going to meet Selvia at the hotel.

Smart kid, keep asking, Kei, where is your father going? It's really strange that he's already going to the office at 6 in the morning. Diandra said again in her heart.

"Alright, you guys eat first; you have to go to school at 7," Andre said, diverting his daughter's question, which was indeed more critical.

They had breakfast as usual Diandra watched Andre's interaction with Keira and Richie. Nothing was different from usual, Andre was still like his old self.

"Papa, are you going to take me and Kakak to school again?" Keira asked.

"I'm so sorry, dear. Papa really wants to take Kakak and you to school, but Papa still has a lot of work, dear. Piling up as high as a mountain on Papa's work desk," Andre said, moving his hand upwards as if to show the many piles of his work files.

"Oh, Papa," Keira and Richie said together with disappointed faces.

"Richie, Keira, don't be like that, kids, Mr. Budi will take you, okay? With Mama."

"Indeed, Mr. Budi isn't driving you, honey?" Diandra asked curiously. She was forced to talk to Andre even though she didn't want to.

"You and the kids need Mr. Budi more than I do. Before Mr. Agus comes home from his hometown, Mr. Budi will take you, okay, Di?"

Diandra was silent, not answering Andre's words. She would later ask Mr. Budi where Andre was last night. Diandra didn't see Andre off outside the house, she deliberately pretended to go to the bathroom.

Andre left in his car, leaving the house that made him uneasy. Diandra's angry face and words made him even more uncomfortable. He immediately headed to the hotel where Selvia was.

Diandra asked where Andre was last night to Mr. Budi, but Mr. Budi himself didn't know. Mr. Budi was told to go home early before Andre left with his friend, Bobby. Diandra grew more suspicious of Andre, she knew Bobby. Bobby liked to play with women and had even been married and divorced three times. She was afraid Andre was making the same mistake.
