Vacation

Andre returned to his office, while Diandra headed home with the kids. Similarly, Selvia went back to her apartment, waiting for Andre’s call. Not long after, Andre contacted her.

"Hello, baby."

"Sorry, baby. Diandra showed up, so we couldn’t continue our meeting."

"It’s okay, baby, as long as Diandra doesn’t find out about us."

"It’s safe, baby."

"But, baby, does Diandra know it was me?"

"No, baby."

"Okay, baby."

"Baby, I won’t be able to meet you for the next few days. I’m worried Diandra will get more suspicious."

"Okay, baby."

Andre felt relieved. His relationship with Selvia wasn’t in vain. She always understood him and never demanded anything. A woman like Selvia was exactly what he needed—gentle, attentive, and always able to satisfy him in bed. He was not the type of man who could remain faithful to just one woman.

After spending the day at his office, Andre prepared to head home. He had already come up with the perfect excuse for Diandra, along with vacation tickets. He planned to take Diandra and the kids to Singapore. He also sent a message to Selvia.

Andre: Honey, I’m heading home now. I love you, my lovers.

Soon, Selvia replied.

Selvia: Drive safely, honey. I really love you.

Andre smiled reading Selvia’s reply before quickly deleting it. He couldn’t leave any traces for his own safety. He only wanted to maintain a balance between his relationships with both his wife and his mistress, without hurting either of them.

Selvia truly deserved to be the second woman, the one who would disrupt her best friend’s marriage. She was in Diandra’s house, trying to console her friend, offering advice and supporting all of Diandra’s decisions.

Selvia didn’t want Diandra’s children to go through the same thing as her son, Kenzo. The thought of Kenzo made Selvia tear up; she missed her only child terribly.

"Why are you crying, Sel? It should be me crying, not you," Diandra said.

"I cry thinking of Kenzo, Di. You’re not the type to be weak, you’ll handle all of this. What you need to believe is that Mas Andre won’t betray you again. Trust me," Selvia said, gazing at Diandra.

"You’re strong too, Sel. Being apart from your child is incredibly painful. But I’m sure Kenzo will search for his mother one day. He’ll know that his mom is a strong woman who loves him dearly," Diandra said, offering hope to Selvia.

When Andre got home, he was shocked to find Selvia with Diandra. His face clearly showed his displeasure. Diandra noticed her husband’s reaction and thought that Andre must be upset about Selvia being in their house.

"Hey, baby, you’re home," Diandra said.

"Hello, Mas Andre," Selvia greeted warmly.

Andre only glanced at Selvia. He was truly uncomfortable with his mistress in his house. He wanted to scold Selvia, but with Diandra there, it was impossible. Selvia should have been more considerate of Diandra’s feelings, not come over and chat with her.

Andre went straight to the second floor, with Diandra following behind him.

"Why did she come here?" Andre asked, clearly displeased.

"Selvi missed the kids, baby. She hasn’t seen them in a while," Diandra explained, trying to help Andre understand.

"Oh..."

"Baby, do you not like Selvi?"

"It’s not that I don’t like her, but I’m just uncomfortable having her here in our house. If possible, please stay away from her."

Diandra fell silent. Her husband had made it clear that he didn’t like the situation, and his tone had risen.

"Okay, baby. Oh, by the way, do you want to eat first or take a shower?"

"I’ll shower first, then eat. Tell Selvia to go home, not to stay here."

Diandra nodded and went downstairs. She didn’t know what to say to Selvia, it would be strange to just ask her to leave.

Andre immediately grabbed his phone and sent a message to Selvia.

Andre: What were you doing meeting Diandra?

Selvia: Sorry, honey. I missed you. When you couldn’t meet me, I came here to see you.

Andre: But not like this, Sel. You need to keep your distance from Diandra. I don’t like you disturbing her.

Selvia: Sorry, honey.

Andre sighed. Understanding women was so difficult. Didn’t Selvia say she wasn’t going to demand anything? That she was okay being the second woman in his life? Why was it different now? He couldn’t leave Diandra. For Andre, his wife would always be Diandra, not any other woman.

Andre was even more annoyed when Selvia was sitting at the dinner table. He felt awkward having her join their dinner. Diandra couldn’t do anything, she was also confused by the situation she found herself in.

Selvia, however, noticed Andre’s gaze on her. She was deliberately testing the waters to see how Diandra would react. She needed information to make sure her affair with Andre wouldn’t be exposed.

"Papa, you said we’re going on vacation, when is it, Pa?" Keira asked.

"We’re going this Saturday, I already bought the tickets to Bali," Andre replied.

"Yay, vacation!" Keira and Richie cheered in unison.

Selvia smiled, watching Andre’s closeness with the kids. She longed to be the mother of Diandra’s children. She imagined herself being embraced by Andre and the kids. She couldn’t help but shed a tear, missing the idea of a happy family, just like Diandra’s.

"Onty, why are you crying? Are you sick?" Keira asked, noticing Selvia’s tears.

"I’m fine, sweetie. Tante is just missing Kenzo, my son," Selvia said, wiping her tears away.

Diandra looked at Selvia with sympathy. She knew Selvia’s pain of missing her child. She glanced at Andre, hoping he would understand Selvia’s feelings.

"Sel, how about you join our vacation to Bali? It’s only for 3 days. We’re going Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, since it’s a public holiday," Diandra suggested.

"Don’t, Di. I feel bad about going with you guys. I’ll stay in Jakarta," Selvia refused.

"Please, Onty, join us! It’ll be fun to play together," Keira insisted.

"I feel bad about Mas Andre, sorry Mas."

"Mas Andre will surely say yes, right, Mas?" Diandra said, giving Andre a playful nudge.

Andre couldn’t say no to Keira and Diandra’s request, so he reluctantly nodded.

"Okay, Sel. Mas Andre doesn’t mind. Come on, you need some time to relax."

Selvia glanced at Andre nervously. She had to make sure Andre was okay with her going on the vacation with his family.

"Okay, if you really want me to join, I’ll go," Selvia said eagerly.

"Yes."

"Thank you, baby. Thank you, Di, and thanks to Richie and Keir

a too."

Diandra smiled. She was happy to see Selvia happy.
