The Sorrow of Diandra

Diandra tried to hide her feelings in front of Andre and Selvia. She didn't want Andre to suspect that she already knew about his affair with a woman named Sel. She was determined to find out who this woman was, although she also suspected it might be Selvia.

At midnight, Andre met Selvia in his lover’s bedroom. They had planned to meet again that night. Selvia glared at Andre, clearly annoyed.

"Why do you look like you're holding back your anger, darling?" Andre asked as he kissed the smooth curve of Selvia's neck.

Selvia, irritated, pushed Andre’s head away from her neck. She wasn't in the mood for intimacy with him. Honestly, Diandra's words were starting to affect her.

"What's wrong, darling?" Andre asked again.

"How could you be so foolish?" she snapped.

"Foolish? What do you mean?" Andre asked, confused.

"Did you sleep with Diandra yesterday?" she demanded.

"No, darling. Since I've been with you, I haven't touched Diandra," Andre lied.

Selvia’s anger flared as she heard Andre's words. How could he keep lying?

"Don't lie to me. There's no way you haven't touched Diandra."

"I haven’t, I swear."

"Listen, Andre, Diandra wouldn’t lie to me. She told me everything about what happened between you two. She even said you called her by the name SEL."

"I called her what? What do you mean? I’m confused," Andre stammered.

"Yes, Andre, you called her by the name SEL. If you'd said 'Selvia,' it would’ve been a disaster for our relationship. Diandra is 100% sure that you're having an affair with a woman named SEL."

"I’m sorry for lying to you. I had no choice but to sleep with Diandra to avoid raising suspicions. But she means nothing compared to you, darling. You’re the woman who satisfies me, both body and soul."

"Andre… I’m lucky I was able to convince Diandra that SEL isn’t me, but someone else. What if she finds out it was me? My reputation would be ruined."

"Don’t worry, darling. As long as I’m here, I’ll always protect you. There’s no way I’ll let Diandra hurt you."

Selvia hugged Andre tightly, tears filling her eyes. Andre comforted her, assuring her that as long as he was around, nothing would happen to her. For him, Selvia was the most important person in the world.

They made love, giving in to their long-suppressed desires, before Andre quietly returned to Diandra’s room. Fortunately, Diandra was fast asleep and didn’t notice he had left.

The next day, they returned to Jakarta, and Andre continued to act overly affectionate towards Diandra, which Selvia couldn't stand. Though she tried to be understanding, it was hard for her to see the married couple being affectionate in front of her.

Selvia’s displeased expression caught Andre’s attention. He winked at her, but she turned her head away.

"Why don’t you get along with Selvia?" Diandra whispered.

"Just ignore it. Who told her to come with us on this trip?" Andre replied.

Diandra sighed. Once again, Andre was cold and distant, making it clear he didn’t like Selvia. But what could she do? She couldn’t force Andre to like her friend.

When they got home, Andre gave Diandra an ultimatum: to stop associating with Selvia.

"I’m doing this for you, darling. I don’t want you hanging out with her," Andre said gently.

"What do you mean?" Diandra asked, puzzled.

"Sweetheart, Selvia is not a good woman. She's a promiscuous woman."

"How do you know?" Diandra asked, shocked that Andre knew about Selvia's behavior.

"I’ve investigated Selvia. She’s been involved with a married man. If you keep being friends with her, it could tarnish your reputation, darling. You’re too good to be friends with someone like her. I don’t want my beautiful wife to be taken advantage of by Selvia," Andre said, pinching Diandra’s chin playfully.

"Ugh, Andre… you always make me blush," Diandra giggled.

"Promise me you won’t see Selvia anymore."

"I promise."

"I miss you so much, darling. Can I have some attention from you?" Andre smiled.

Diandra was overjoyed. Andre was back to his sweet, loving self. However, she remained vigilant, monitoring his every move. She didn’t have any proof of Andre's infidelity, but the name "SEL" would remain in her mind. She would never forget it.

Meanwhile, Selvia was pacing back and forth in her apartment. She was growing increasingly frustrated. Andre had not replied to her messages, and his phone was unreachable, making her anxious.

"Where is Andre? He promised to come tonight, but it's already 2 a.m. and he’s still not here," Selvia murmured, glancing at her watch.

"Should I just sleep? But what if he shows up suddenly?"

Selvia eventually fell asleep on the sofa, still waiting for Andre. She longed to see him, missing him deeply.

The next morning, Selvia awoke on the sofa and smiled when she saw Andre sitting at the dining table, sipping a cup of coffee.

"When did you get here?" she asked, her eyes sparkling.

Andre simply smiled and didn’t answer.

"Why are you so quiet, darling?" Selvia asked, walking over to Andre. Suddenly, the man she adored vanished from her sight.

"Andre, where are you going? Why are you disappearing?" she cried, her heart aching.

She clutched her chest, feeling the pain as she collapsed to the floor, missing Andre. The sound of the apartment door opening caught her attention. She looked toward the door. It was Andre.

"Where have you been? I missed you so much. I can’t stand being apart from you," she said, rushing to embrace him.

"I missed you too, darling. Sorry I couldn’t meet you last night," Andre replied, hugging her back.

"It’s okay, as long as you’re here now. I’ll wait for you forever."

"As an apology, we’re leaving your apartment today. We’re moving to a new place."

"Wait, what do you mean?"

"I’m buying you a luxury apartment near my office. Your current place is too far, wasting time. A closer one will make things easier for us, darling."

"Anything, as long as I’m with you. I’ll follow you anywhere."

"But I won’t make you live under a dirty bridge. Let’s enjoy life in luxury places."

"Anything, honey. As long as it’s with you."

"Yes, yes, honey. But remember your promise. You’ll never see Diandra again. You’ll end your friendship with her. It’s for your own good."

"I promise. Thank you for choosing me, Andre. For loving me."
