"Final Battle"
Suddenly, cannons began thundering from the distance, their projectiles furiously heading toward the island. Kara stood, staring at Legios on an island now deserted by their fierce battle. All the buildings had been destroyed, reduced to rubble and ashes. None remained intact. The destruction caused by their exchanges had nearly reached the area where the others were.
"What's missing. Those idiots have arrived," Kara murmured in annoyance, realizing the Buster Call had arrived and the warships would start firing upon the island regardless of who was there.
Legios watched as a cannonball crashed a short distance away, scattering debris everywhere. Without wasting time, he swiftly moved toward Kara.
Snap.
He appeared before her in the blink of an eye, throwing a direct punch at her face. Kara responded with her own punch, and when their fists collided, a thunderous sound erupted between them. Legios took advantage of that vibration to unleash a sonic explosion that sent Kara flying backward.
"You're so annoying with that ability," Kara growled in irritation as she spun in the air, regaining her balance. She had barely stabilized her flight when Legios appeared above her once again, ready to strike.
This time, Kara was prepared. Her fist was charged with Haki, enveloped in a dark glow. Legios launched an axe kick toward her stomach at the same time Kara struck toward his chest.
Both hit each other with overwhelming force. Kara crashed to the ground with a roar that shattered the earth around her, while Legios was sent flying several meters, landing heavily while spitting blood.
Kara barely stood up, wiping the blood trickling from her mouth and looking at Legios with a savage smile. Without wasting time, she charged at him, though now her speed had decreased, having exhausted much of her magical power. But Legios wasn't in good condition either. He could barely defend against her attacks.
"Bushoku Koka: Impact!" Kara shouted, throwing a punch with all her strength.
At that moment, Legios left his guard open on purpose and, instead, launched another kick toward Kara's chest. Both were sent flying in opposite directions as cannonballs continued raining down on the island, ravaging everything in their path.
Legios was so exhausted and injured that he could no longer snap his fingers to activate his ability. Instead, he used the sound of his strikes to release explosions that kept Kara at bay. Meanwhile, Kara had abandoned any attempt at defense, responding blow for blow without hesitation.
After exchanging blows for the third time, both fell heavily to the ground, only to rise once more. Legios looked at her with a cold, almost neutral expression, blood dripping from his mouth.
"Why the hell are you smiling?" he asked in a raspy voice.
"Hahaha! It's a great day to die!" Kara shouted with excitement, charging toward him with a fierce grin.
Legios prepared to block her attack, but then he realized something alarming: during their last exchange, Kara had struck his arm with such force that it had been completely shattered. He hadn't noticed until that moment due to the widespread pain throughout his body.
"Damn it…!" Legios spat as he shifted his attack to a desperate kick.
Kara didn't bother to defend herself, only hardened her Haki to the maximum, channeling every last drop of strength she had left.
"Crash Impact!" Kara roared with unrestrained laughter as her blow hit Legios square in the face. At the same time, Legios's kick smashed into Kara's ribs.
But something unexpected happened. Legios's leg, the same one Kara had injured at the beginning, bent grotesquely under the pressure. The bone had never fully healed, and at that moment, it shattered beyond repair.
Kara took advantage of the opening, driving her punch with all her strength toward the ground, dragging Legios with her. Legios's head slammed into the earth with such force that a web of cracks expanded from the impact, spreading like rabid roots as cannonballs continued to fall.
The ground began to collapse, fragments of the island floating above a bottomless abyss trembled and gradually crumbled into the infinite darkness.
Legios had been defeated, completely knocked out. Kara could barely stand, her arms trembling and her body a complete mess.
"Ugh… ugh… I need to get out of here," she gasped as she watched the island crumble beneath her feet and the rain of bullets continued to fall. Staggering, she began to move away, using the last of her strength.
...…
"There's no one. Merry came on its own," Nami said as she checked who had brought their ship to save them.
Then everyone heard a great roar from the island, so they turned to look in that direction.
"What the hell?!" Sogeking shouted as he looked in shock along with the others, watching the island begin to fall into the depths.
"The Others!" Franky shouted with concern for the comrades who had been left behind.
"Relax. They called a while ago and said they had to escape the island because two very powerful people were destroying everything in their path with a battle," Sanji said as he exhaled the smoke from his cigarette.
"We need to get out of here," Nami said quickly as the warships' cannons began to aim at the Straw Hats' ship.
Just then, Zoro landed on the boat with Chopper and Rab, both unconscious.
"Swordsman, where's Eloise?" Luffy asked quickly, lying on the goat's head of the Merry for some reason.
"Don't worry, she'll be fine. It's better if we get out of here," Zoro replied swiftly.
Something fell onto the ship, causing the water to rise and drench everyone as the boat shook violently.
"What was that? Did a cannonball hit us?" Sanji asked, looking toward the center of the ship.
"No. It's me. Is it okay if I use your ship to rest for a bit?" Kara said, wounded all over, barely having any strength left. Even her white mask was completely shattered, barely maintaining her identity. Her clothes were also completely destroyed, leaving her only with a bikini top and tattered pants.
"Of course!" Sanji shouted as he looked at Kara, blood starting to pour from his nose.
"Disgusting," Kara replied quickly before closing her eyes to rest for a few minutes.
Suddenly, the warships began attacking the boat under Spandam's orders, so everyone tried to deflect the projectiles as the ship began to move away from the area.
They even used Luffy, who couldn't move, to gather multiple cannonballs and launch them all at once since he was being annoying.
"Thanks a lot, Captain," Sanji said quickly with a smile, while Usopp scolded him for using poor Luffy like that.
Meanwhile, Nico Robin finally got her revenge on Spandam by completely breaking his spine, though she left him alive.
Kara slowly opened her eyes as she watched this.
"You're quite soft. I would've ripped his head from that spine," she said while looking at Robin.
"Well, someone told me not to get into trouble," Robin replied with a smile as she approached Kara and took off her coat to cover her.
"You know, maybe right now you could give me back my cloak and I could cover myself properly," Kara quickly said.
"What are you talking about? This is the first time we've met, Eloise," Robin said with a smile as she gently stroked Kara's hair after placing her coat over her.
Kara simply smiled and closed her eyes again to continue recovering her magical power.
Franky used a blast of air from his hands to propel the ship away once and for all, while Usopp launched a smoke screen to confuse the marines. The Gates of Justice fully closed, creating whirlpools in the area and causing all the warships to collide with each other, becoming trapped.
Everyone sailed away calmly while only a fragment of land remained on the island, merely because it wasn't connected to the other part, which had fallen into the abyss along with Legios.
When Rab and Chopper woke up, they started helping everyone who was injured. Although Kara and Luffy were the most badly damaged.
...
Meanwhile, an admiral on a bicycle, leaving a trail of ice in his wake, observed the island's destruction with surprise while touching his forehead in exhaustion.
"I shouldn't have sent that idiot," he said, regretting his own orders. "Well, they brought it upon themselves," he added as he began to pedal across the sea again, leaving a path of ice behind.
