Joey didn't change out of her pajamas that night, constantly checking the time. Angelina, already in bed, watched her curiously before finally setting her book aside. "Are you really not going on a date with Fred?"
"Of course not!" Joey retorted immediately. "And George! Oh, it's time! They must be in the common room!"
Angelina raised an eyebrow, surprised and confused. "A three-person date?"
Of course, it wasn't a date. They were planning to retrieve something hidden in the Room of Requirement.
Lately, the professors had been more lenient, and even Filch had been busy cleaning outside the castle, leaving the students to their own devices. It was the perfect time for their little adventure.
George remembered to bring the Marauder's Map this time, though they hardly needed it anymore—they knew the castle like the back of their hands.
"Maybe we should pass this map on to Harry," Joey suggested as they walked. "He's got the Invisibility Cloak. It'd be a perfect match."
Fred nodded. "Good idea. Harry's got the makings of a true Marauder."
Suddenly, George stopped, pointing at the map. "Look! Sirius is in Professor Lupin's office! But I thought Lupin was away?"
Joey and Fred crowded around, their eyes lighting up with curiosity. "Let's go see!" Joey said eagerly.
George hesitated, glancing at the Room of Requirement nearby, but the temptation was too great. "Fine, let's go!"
The trio sneaked down to the second floor, finding the office door locked. Without hesitation, Joey cast "Alohomora", and they slipped inside.
The office was dark, lit only by the full moon streaming through the window. Professor Lupin's desk was neat and orderly, but something moved behind it.
"I hear something," Joey whispered, pointing. "It's coming from behind the desk."
As they approached, a large black dog emerged from the shadows.
"Padfoot!" the trio exclaimed.
"We saw your name on the map!" Joey said excitedly.
The dog shook its head, growling softly, as if warning them to stay back.
"He doesn't want us to go there," Fred said, pulling Joey back. "Let's respect that."
Joey nodded, but just as they turned to leave, the moonlight illuminated the desk. A figure rose, its back arching, fingers elongating—Professor Lupin was transforming into a werewolf.
"Cool!" the trio whispered in unison, watching in awe.
Padfoot nearly slipped in surprise. "This" was not the reaction he expected from teenagers witnessing a werewolf transformation.
Once the transformation was complete, the werewolf curled up behind the desk, quiet and subdued. Padfoot sniffed it cautiously before shifting back into Sirius.
"What are you three doing here?" Sirius hissed, clearly annoyed. "If he'd forgotten his Wolfsbane Potion, you'd be werewolf dinner! And wandering the castle at night? You should be docked points!"
Joey smirked. "Says the guy who used to take us to the Forbidden Forest."
Fred added, "And does he even have the authority to dock points?"
Sirius groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Listen, things are getting dangerous. Pettigrew's still out there, and the Death Eaters are getting restless. You can't keep sneaking around like this!"
Joey clapped, impressed. "So, you've been busy recruiting allies among the old wizarding families?"
Sirius nodded, a proud grin spreading across his face. "The Malfoys' brother-in-law is quite cooperative."
The trio exchanged knowing looks. "You must've beaten him up," they said in unison.
Sirius rolled his eyes. "It's called "negotiating"." He then shooed them out of the office, muttering about how he now understood Professor McGonagall's frustration with him and James.

Back in the Room of Requirement, the trio navigated the cluttered space. Joey accidentally kicked a broken cabinet, yelping in pain.
"Why is it always you who gets hurt?" George teased.
Fred knelt to check her foot, gently rubbing her toes. "It's fine. No broken nails."
Joey, embarrassed, pulled her foot back and quickly put her shoes back on. "Wash your hands," she muttered, using her wand to clean Fred's hands with a stream of water.
George laughed. "Fred, I feel sorry for you. Flami's much more fun than this troll girl!"
Fred grabbed George in a headlock, dragging him away as Joey glared.
Joey, still annoyed, turned to the broken cabinet. She pulled out a handful of foaming powder and a portable swamp from the Weasley joke shop, tossing them into the cabinet. "Take that, you stupid cabinet!"
Satisfied, she hurried after Fred and George, leaving the cabinet to its bubbly, swampy fate.
