THE NEW LIFE IN JIADING

Oliver had arrived in Jiading full of hopes and dreams, willing to start a new life with LiMao. The clinic where it began to work was in a quiet part of the city, an area that, although away from the bustle of the center, was well equipped with shops, parks, cinema, gym, spa and other amenities.

The first day at the hospital, Oliver was received with great interest in his colleagues. Despite his mandate, which had meticulously polished, his foreign accent and his attractive appearance made him stand out.

Dr. Chen extended his hand with a kind smile. "Welcome, Dr. Oliver. It is a pleasure to have someone with their training here with us."

Oliver returned the greeting. "Thank you, Dr. Chen. I am excited to learn and contribute as much as I can."

In the following weeks, Oliver noticed an increase in the care he received, not only from his colleagues, but also from patients. Applications to be met by him began to rise, and with them, personal invitations.

Nurse Wu, with a flirtatious look, said: "Dr. Oliver, some of us are going to dinner afterwork, would you like to join?"

Oliver replied politely, but firm: "I appreciate the invitation, but I have plans with LiMao. Another day will be."

Although he felt flattered, Oliver was determined to maintain his relationship with Li Maps his priority.

With the passing of the months, the situation began to weigh on Oliver. Although he tried to handle the situation with touch, the constant flow of attention began to create a small abyss between him and Lio.

One afternoon, while enjoying a walk-through a nearby park, Li Mao decided to address the theme he had been avoiding.

Li Mao, cautiously, said: "Oliver, I have noticed that many women in the hospital are paying close attention to you. How are you driving that?"

Oliver, taking his hand, replied: "It's true, and I don't want that to worry. I always try to be professional and make it clear that my heart belongs only to you."

Li Mao nodded, but the doubt was still reflected in his eyes. "I know I shouldn't worry, but sometimes it's difficult, especially when I see how they look at you."

Oliver looked at her tenderly. "I understand your concerns, and I will do what is necessary to make sure you feel safe in our relationship. I love you, Li Mao, and nothing will change that."

Despite Oliver's words, they both knew that the evidence of their relationship was just beginning.

Nurse Wu was a woman of an impressive and professional appearance. With high height and a thin and toned figure, emanated trust and

determination. Her long legs and her upright bearing made her stand out anywhere. He had large brown eyes that transmitted warmth and attention, with a look that could be both comforting and penetrating, depending on the situation. His black hair wassuper silky, he fell in a waterfall halfway, and was always perfectly combed, which gave him an air of natural elegance. His face, of fine and delicate features, showed a kind and cozy smile that inspired confidence in his patients. Each gesture and movement demonstrated its dedication to their work and care for its patients, making it look like the personification of medical excellence and grace.

Sometime later, despite his initial reservations, Oliver accepted the invitation of nurse WU to discuss some work-related issues. She had proposed a small restaurant near the hospital, known for her quiet and discreet atmosphere, ideal for serious conversations.

When Oliver arrived, he found nurse Wu already sitting at a settled table, reviewing some documents. He greeted with a professional smile and took a seat in front of her.

Nurse Wu, smiling, said: "Thank you for accepting the invitation, Dr. Oliver. I think we could discuss some ideas to improve the emergency protocol we have been using."

Oliver nodded. "Of course, nurse Wu. I am interested in any suggestion that can improve efficiency and security."

The conversation began strictly on professional issues, but as dinner advanced, nurse Changed subtly direction.

The nurse Wu lowered her voice and said: "Oliver, I must admit that I also wanted to tell you how much I admire the way you handle your cases. It is very impressive, and, honestly, I feel very interested in everything you do."

Oliver, surprised by the change of tone, nodded but cautious. "Thank you, nurse Wu, I value your professional opinion very much."

However, nurse Wu did not seem willing to stop there.

Nurse Wu leaned forward and said: "You see, Oliver, I think people like us, who share the same passion and dedication for medicine, could ... understand each other better. Li Mao is an excellent teacher, I'm sure, I'm sure, but there are things about our work that she couldn't completely understand. "

Oliver felt a mixture of surprise and discomfort when he heard how the conversation took a personal and derogatory turn towards Lio.

Oliver, firm and of course, replied: "Miss Wu, respect your ability as a nurse, but I think you are misunderstanding something very important here. Li Mao is not only a teacher; she is an incredibly comprehensive, intelligent woman and the person I love.

Nurse Wu seemed surprised by Oliver's firmness.

Nurse Wu, recovering her composure, said: "I'm sorry if I offended you, it wasn't my intention. I just thought that ..."

Oliver, interrupting her with courtesy, said: "I understand what you wanted to say, but my heart already has an owner, and that is something that will not change. I hope we can continue to be good colleagues and nothing more."

Dinner concluded shortly after that exchange, with Oliver making it clear where the limits were. Upon leaving the restaurant, he felt a renewed certainty of his commitment to Lio and a firm resolution to face any challenge that could arise in hisrelationship or his career.
