Mark's smirk faltered as Ethan and Rory confronted him.
"You're going to pay for what you've done, Mark," Ethan said, his voice firm.
Mark sneered. "You'll never prove it. I covered my tracks."
Rory pulled out the journal. "We have your confession."
Mark's eyes widened as he realized he was caught.
The storm chaser's association president, James, arrived, demanding an explanation.
Mark's reputation was ruined, and his career was over.
As they left the base, Ethan turned to Rory. "Thanks for your help. I couldn't have done it without you."
Rory smiled, feeling a sense of pride. "We make a good team."
Their conversation was interrupted by a call from James. "Ethan, we need to talk about the upcoming storm season."
Ethan's expression turned serious. "What's up?"
James hesitated. "We've received a warning from the National Weather Service. A category 5 hurricane is heading our way."
Rory's eyes widened. "A category 5?"
Ethan's face set in determination. "We'll prepare the team. We'll do everything we can to keep everyone safe."
Little did they know, the hurricane would bring more than just destruction.
