Betrayal

Mark's words hung in the air, leaving Rory and Ethan stunned.

"What have you done, Mark?" Ethan demanded.

Mark's smile grew wider. "I've been manipulating the storms, using my sabotage to create the perfect conditions."

Rory's eyes widened. "You're insane."

Mark shrugged. "I'm just passionate about my work."

Ethan's face darkened. "You're going to pay for what you've done."

Mark sneered. "You'll never stop me. I have the data, the proof. I'll be hailed as a genius."

Rory's heart sank. "You're going to hurt innocent people."

Mark's eyes gleamed. "That's the beauty of it. No one will ever suspect me."

Suddenly, the generator room began to shake.

"The storm," Ethan said, his voice urgent. "We need to get out of here, now."

But Mark's grip tightened. "You're not going anywhere."

Little did they know, the storm was about to reveal a shocking secret.
