chapter 161 daniel ana,liz shock

As the chaotic energy of the meal began to settle, Mark leaned back, crossing his arms. He glanced at the group, knowing the next thing he was about to say would set off a whole new round of insanity.

"Oh, by the way," he said casually, swirling the drink in his hand, "we're moving out."

Silence.

Daniel, mid-bite, stopped chewing. Ana, who had been leaning back in her chair, suddenly sat up straight. Liz narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

Mist Low smirked. Brainless Girl just sipped her drink, looking completely unbothered.

Then—

Daniel slammed his hands on the table. "WE'RE WHAT?!"

Ana's eyes widened. "Moving?! Since when?!"

Liz's voice was calm, but sharp. "Mark, explain. Now."

Mark shrugged. "I bought a new mansion."

Dead silence.

Then Daniel pointed at him. "You mean to tell me you just casually bought a mansion and didn't think to tell us?"

Ana leaned forward. "What the hell, Mark?!"

Liz crossed her arms. "And when exactly were you planning to drop this bomb on us?"

Brainless Girl smirked. "He already told us."

Daniel, Ana, and Liz froze.

"…Us?" Liz repeated, voice dangerously calm.

Mist Low chuckled. "Yes, yes. It was quite the thrilling adventure."

Ana's jaw dropped. "Wait, hold up. You two knew?!"

Daniel groaned. "So let me get this straight. Mark, Mist Low, and Brainless Girl—three of the most dangerous people to let make major financial decisions—all went and bought a mansion together?!"

Mist Low grinned. "Oh, you have no idea how fun it was."

Liz stared at them, disbelief clear on her face. "You three… making real estate decisions. That's horrifying."

Ana shook her head. "What even possessed you?"

Mark shrugged. "It was a good deal."

Daniel threw up his hands. "Oh, well, if it was a good deal, that makes it totally fine!"

Brainless Girl chuckled. "You'll love it."

Liz squinted at her. "That's not reassuring."

Ana exhaled sharply. "Where is this new mansion?"

Mark smirked. "You'll see tomorrow."

Mist Low leaned forward, eyes gleaming. "Oh, I can't wait to see your faces."

Daniel crossed his arms. "Mark, if this is some overpriced waste of money—"

Mark cut him off. "It's bigger."

Silence.

Ana narrowed her eyes. "How much bigger?"

Mark's smirk widened. "Much bigger."

Liz pinched the bridge of her nose. "Oh god, we're gonna regret this."

Mist Low clapped his hands. "Too late now! The deal is done. We have a new kingdom!"

Daniel groaned. "I hate this."

Ana sighed. "Guess we're moving."

Liz exhaled. "If this mansion isn't perfect, we're making you regret it."

Mark chuckled. "Trust me. You won't be disappointed."

Mist Low grinned. "To our new home!"

Brainless Girl raised her glass. "And to Daniel, Ana, and Liz finally getting over their shock."

Daniel shook his head. "I need a drink."

Ana sighed. "You and me both."

Liz just stared at them. "Tomorrow better not be a disaster."

Mark just smirked.

Oh, tomorrow was going to be very interesting.

After the meal, the group returned to the mansion, still reeling from the unexpected news.

Daniel grumbled as he walked through the front door. "I can't believe you three just decided to buy a new mansion without telling us."

Ana stretched, cracking her neck. "You know what? Fine. Whatever. It's done. Let's just pack."

Liz narrowed her eyes at Mark, Mist Low, and Brainless Girl. "If I find out you idiots bought something ridiculous, I swear—"

Mist Low grinned. "You'll find out tomorrow. Now, let's get packing!"

Packing Chaos Begins

Everyone split up to gather their things.

Mark, being the most prepared, had already organized his stuff. He moved quickly, efficiently, packing clothes, gadgets, and essentials into boxes. His room was neat—of course, it was.

Brainless Girl barely had anything to pack. She simply tossed a few clothes into a bag, leaned back on her bed, and watched the others suffer.

Mist Low, on the other hand, made a spectacle out of packing.

"Oh, the tragedy of leaving behind memories!" he cried, dramatically holding up a shirt. "Shall I take this? Or let it go? Decisions, decisions…"

Daniel threw a pillow at him. "Just pack your crap, Mist."

Mist Low caught the pillow, clutching it dramatically. "Ah, my dear Daniel, I shall treasure this last gift from you forever."

Daniel groaned. "I hate you."

Ana was speed-running her packing, stuffing things into her suitcase without much care. "I swear, if I forget something, I'm blaming Mark."

Liz, however, was painfully methodical. Every item was folded neatly, placed with precision, and organized in labeled boxes.

Daniel pointed at her. "Why are you like this?"

Liz didn't even look up. "Because I don't want to be like you."

Daniel rolled his eyes and tossed random things into his duffel bag. "I call this 'efficient packing.'"

Ana snorted. "I call it 'a disaster waiting to happen.'"

Saying Goodbye to Celeste

Once everything was packed, they gathered in the living room, looking around the now half-empty mansion. It was weird—this had been home for so long, and now they were leaving.

Then Celeste walked in, arms crossed, leaning against the doorframe.

"So," she said, smirking, "you brats are really leaving, huh?"

Daniel grinned. "Missed us already?"

Celeste scoffed. "Please. If anything, this place is about to get way quieter. No more pranks. No more chaos. No more random screaming in the middle of the night."

Ana smirked. "You're going to be so bored without us."

Celeste rolled her eyes. "I'll manage."

Liz crossed her arms. "You could visit."

Celeste raised an eyebrow. "And enter a mansion bought by Mark, Mist Low, and Brainless Girl? Yeah, no. That sounds dangerous."

Mark sighed. "It's a nice place, Celeste."

Celeste smirked. "I'll believe it when I see it."

Mist Low stepped forward, hand over his heart. "Celeste, my dear, are you sure you won't miss me? Even a little?"

Celeste gave him a blank stare. "No."

Mist Low gasped. "So cold!"

Daniel chuckled. "She's being nice. If she didn't care, she wouldn't have come to see us off."

Celeste huffed. "Yeah, yeah. Just… try not to destroy the new place in a week."

Brainless Girl smirked. "No promises."

Celeste sighed. "Of course."

Mark stepped forward, holding out a hand. "Seriously, thanks for everything."

Celeste looked at the hand, then smirked and shoved it aside, pulling him into a quick hug instead. "Take care, rich boy."

Mark smirked. "You too, landlady."

Celeste stepped back. "Alright, get out of here before I change my mind and lock the doors."

Mist Low saluted. "Farewell, Celeste! May your mansion be forever free of our noble chaos!"

Celeste snorted. "Get lost already."

With one last glance at the mansion, the group grabbed their bags and walked out the door, ready for whatever came next.
