Chapter 14 – A Rift Between Twins

Chapter 14 – A Rift Between Twins

Olivia watched Ella's actions without commenting. She had noticed something strange ever since their strength had increased—it was as if she could faintly sense Ella's thoughts. While her personality remained the same, her tolerance for crowds had noticeably diminished. However, instead of stopping Ella, she silently supported her.

Seeing this, Ella was delighted. With their increased strength, Olivia had become more aware, and that pleased her greatly. Soon, the twins arrived at the line leading to the Secret Realm's entrance. By now, most of the participants had already entered, leaving only a few behind.

Many lesser gods in the vicinity admired their beauty, murmuring among themselves, but Ella and Olivia ignored them completely.

Without paying attention to the surrounding noise, Ella turned toward Olivia and gave her some advice. She didn't want her sister to be taken advantage of—especially since there was a chance they could get separated.

"Vivi, if anyone tries to deceive you, don't hesitate—rob them. If necessary, make them kneel. We need to show them that we aren't naïve, that we aren't easy targets. Do you understand?" Ella said seriously.

Olivia listened attentively and nodded, but inside, she thought:

Eri is really caring… But I also need to protect her. I understand now. I will definitely rob them.

Of course, she didn't voice her thoughts, and Ella remained unaware of just how literal Olivia intended to be with that advice.

An hour later, only ten lesser gods remained, eagerly awaiting their turn. As soon as they were given the signal, they rushed inside, eager to claim treasures and opportunities.

Ella and Olivia, however, remained calm, walking at their own pace. When they finally arrived at the massive glowing portal, they stopped, staring at its radiant runes flickering in unknown patterns.

"This is really amazing," Ella murmured. "Seeing a real portal in person… I wonder how it was formed."

Olivia, too, was fascinated. The strange runes called to her, as if whispering secrets only she could hear. Her red eyes glowed slightly as she instinctively focused on the shifting patterns.

Before she realized it, her mind slipped into a trance-like state—the chaotic runes rearranging themselves in her vision, revealing hidden truths about spatial principles.

Ding!

▶ Comprehension Successful!

[Olivia has comprehended a Basic Principle of Space from the portal's runic patterns.]

▶ New Skill Acquired: [Spatial Ripple]

▶ Effect:

Distorts space in subtle waves, allowing Olivia to slightly shift her position mid-movement.While not true teleportation, this ability makes her movements unpredictable and harder to track.▶ Grade: Basic

▶ Type: Spatial/Mystic

▶ Special Trait – Phase Shift: Reduces resistance while moving, making her feel lighter and more agile.

▶ System Note:

This is a minor spatial manipulation. Further mastery of space principles is required to unlock higher-tier abilities.

Ella stiffened.

She had been standing next to Olivia the whole time—yet she hadn't sensed anything special about the portal!

What the hell?! Just by looking at it, Vivi comprehended a space ability?

Her eyes darkened slightly. For the first time, she felt frustrated—her talent seemed pale in comparison to Olivia's.

Determined not to fall behind, she stared intently at the portal, trying to comprehend something—anything!

A few moments passed.

Then a few more.

"…What the hell is this? I can't understand anything! Fuck!"

Ella gritted her teeth in frustration.

Meanwhile, the portal guardian, an elder managing the entrance, was utterly speechless.

"What the hell are these girls doing? Why are they just… staring at the portal?" He muttered.

He had seen countless eager participants rush inside without hesitation, yet these two were standing still, one girl comprehending a spatial ability, while the other was cursing at the portal like it personally offended her.

"Young people these days… Not as hardworking as before," he sighed, shaking his head.

Just as he was about to say something, Olivia opened her eyes, a faint ripple of spatial energy flashing through her gaze.

"…Eri, let's go. I'm getting hungry," Olivia said, holding her stomach.

Ella's frustration vanished instantly.

"Finally!" she huffed. "Let's go—I need to vent this frustration inside me."

With that, the twins strode forward together, stepping into the Secret Realm.

The moment they entered, Ella's mind turned dizzy.

Olivia, on the other hand, saw something terrifying—space energy wrapping around their bodies, forcefully pulling them apart!

"Eri—!"

Before Olivia could do anything, the spatial currents violently twisted—and in an instant, they were separated, thrown into completely different locations within the realm.

Olivia's expression darkened.

Her newly acquired understanding of space principles was too basic—not nearly enough to resist the teleportation force. She gritted her teeth, making a mental note:

I need to master space abilities… Then I can make sure this never happens again.

But for now… she had to find Ella.

Meanwhile, in a distant part of the Secret Realm, a fierce battle raged.

"CRACK—!"

Mountains crumbled as violent clashes tore through the land.

Inside the Grand Arena, thousands of spectators watched the battle unfold through divine projections, their excitement soaring.

The focus of their attention?

A red-haired boy who was dominating the battlefield.

"W-Who is this kid?!"

"His combat talent is insane!"

"We need to recruit him—he could be a future powerhouse for our faction!"

Amidst the chaos, Wutian grinned arrogantly as he faced five lesser gods of the same realm.

"Hahahaha! Trying to rob me of my treasure? Try again in your next life!"

One of the enemies, a muscular warrior, growled, his veins bulging.

"Arrogant bastard! You'll die here!"

Another opponent sneered.

"Your talent may be impressive, but five against one? You have no way to escape. Surrender now, and maybe we'll make your death painless!"

Wutian laughed.

"Five ants dare to act arrogant before me?" His eyes gleamed coldly. "You have no idea who you're facing."

"Heaven-Dominating Fist!"

Wutian's aura exploded, distorting space itself.

The five enemies' expressions changed.

Dangerous!

They instinctively tried to flee—but something was wrong.

No matter how they moved, they kept returning to their original positions.

"Impossible!" the muscular warrior paled.

Wutian's grin widened.

"Hahaha… This is my domain."

A spatial formation surrounded them—one that only those who understood space principles could escape.

"You can't run," Wutian said, stepping forward. "Say your last words. You'll become my nourishment."

Terror filled their faces.

One of them stammered, "T-There's no way! No one in the 18th Heaven knows space techniques! Who are you?!"

Wutian's eyes gleamed with madness.

"Hahahaha! The heavens favor me once more!" His killing intent surged.

With a single punch, he shattered one enemy's body and soul.

Inside the Grand Arena, powerful figures watched in shock.

In a private chamber, a merchant leader's face darkened.

"…This fighting style… it's too similar to the Demon Emperor."

"Activate the artifact." His voice was grim. "We need to confirm this kid's identity… before it's too late."
