Chapter 20 – The Birth of the Heaven-Shattering Fist

Chapter 20 – The Birth of the Heaven-Shattering Fist

Although no one in the grand arena was paying attention to Ella and Olivia's interaction due to the chaos Wutian caused, two individuals were still observing them closely. One was their mother, Yula, while the other was the daughter of a merchant from the 70th Heaven.

"Interesting… are they siblings? No, perhaps twins?" she mused, watching their interaction with great interest. She was also curious whether Olivia possessed the same capabilities as Ella. Excitedly, she observed them, eager to uncover their true potential.

Back in midair, Olivia was recounting her experience inside the Secret Realm, her voice trembling slightly. Hearing this, Ella's expression darkened as she scolded her younger sister.

"I told you, Vivi! You can't trust people so easily! I already explained this to you before we even got here!" Ella's voice was sharp, filled with frustration. Olivia had always been too trusting, even back on Earth. She had been easily manipulated then, lacking the keen instincts she possessed now.

However, as Ella listened to Olivia's tale, she felt a sense of relief. Her sister had finally witnessed the darker side of the world, realizing the cruelty of those around her. Perhaps she had grown a little.

Pouting at the scolding but still nodding happily, Olivia responded.

"I understand, Eri…"

Ella sighed before continuing.

"You robbed them, right? But what about this person—Wutian? Is he really that strong?"

She was cautious about this so-called main character, the one who had shocked everyone and slapped the faces of those who had offended him.

Olivia frowned at the mention of Wutian and immediately shook her head.

"Eri, don't get involved with him. He's a bad person. His shameless plan to rob and frame those around him was disgusting. I don't like him."

She spoke honestly. During her interaction with Wutian, she had heard his schemes. His plan would have succeeded if she hadn't backstabbed him.

Ella's frown deepened.

"Damn… Are we about to get slapped in the face for this? We really have a grudge against him now. I know he won't let it go."

Her gaze suddenly turned cold.

"Vivi, it seems we need to make him disappear."

There was no hesitation in her tone, but Olivia didn't immediately understand.

"Why?"

Ella scoffed.

"You think he'll just let you go? You said he didn't notice you, right? Bullshit. An old monster like him, not realizing something was off? That's impossible."

Her voice was grave as she sneered.

"He will definitely come for you, Vivi. And if he finds you… the worst-case scenario is that he kills you."

Ella had already made her decision. Wutian needed to die. She knew that someone with protagonist-like qualities would never be an easy opponent, so she resolved to kill him in a single strike, using her full strength to erase him from existence. But even with such a plan, she suspected he had some trump card that would allow him to escape.

That was the problem. She wanted to ensure his complete annihilation, leaving no trace behind—even if it meant reducing herself to nothing.

"We either kill or be killed," Ella stated coldly. "Having an enemy like that is too troublesome. People like him always come back, just like cockroaches."

Olivia wasn't shocked by Ella's cruelty. Instead, she smiled warmly.

"I understand, Eri. I won't be a burden to you. I'll help. I won't let myself be manipulated anymore. I want to rely on my strength, too—to protect you."

She didn't try to stop Ella's plan to kill Wutian. She had already witnessed countless killings on her journey, yet she felt nothing. Right now, she felt the same—no guilt, no hesitation.

Her response surprised Ella.

"Really? You're not against it?"

Olivia nodded.

"I don't know why, but… I don't feel anything about it. Eri, when you killed someone, did you feel anything?"

Ella was shocked by the strange question, but after recalling how she had slaughtered ten gods without blinking, she realized the answer.

"I did kill people," she admitted. "But they were trying to kill me first. And… no, I didn't feel anything."

Perhaps it was because they were already gods, devoid of emotions. No—that wasn't entirely true. There was one thing that made her feel emotions: Olivia.

Everything else was like air to her.

Hearing Ella's words, Olivia remained unbothered.

"Killing is necessary. If we don't kill, we will be killed."

With this new understanding, Olivia began to see the world differently. This place was truly cruel. If you lacked strength, you were destined to die.

Seeing her sister's growth, Ella felt an overwhelming urge to hug her.

"You're right, Vivi. That's why we need power to survive."

She continued, mystifying her words to further ingrain the reality of this world into Olivia's mind.

"Even I almost died earlier, besieged by those who wanted to kill me. Do you understand now?"

For the first time, Olivia became serious.

She could not accept that.

If one day Ella was surrounded and she lacked the strength to save her—what then?

The mere thought of Ella's death made Olivia want to cry, but she steeled herself. She would not be a burden. She had to get stronger.

And then, an idea struck her.

Wait… Wutian had some amazing techniques I learned. Could it be…?

Immediately, Olivia retrieved Wutian's storage bracelet from her ring and scanned it with her primordial sense. Inside, she saw three recently written technique manuals.

With excitement, she pulled them out, shocking Ella.

Ella read the titles aloud.

"Heaven-Dominating Fist, Voidpierce Gaze, Celestial Harmonization Sutra."

She was astonished.

"Vivi… where did you get these?"

"They were in Wutian's bracelet when I robbed him," Olivia answered happily, seeing the gleam of excitement in Ella's eyes.

"Take them, Eri. I don't want you to get hurt again."

Her warm tone made Ella's heart flutter, but she didn't take everything. She picked only two.

"Thank you, Vivi. I'll take the Heaven-Dominating Fist and Voidpierce Gaze. The last one seems strong, so you should keep it."

Seeing Ella's satisfied smile, Olivia nodded.

"Okay. I'll give it to you after I'm done reading."

They wasted no time. Floating midair, the two sisters began studying the techniques, memorizing their contents.

Ella, in particular, was completely focused.

"Each strike carries unstoppable momentum, breaking through defenses with sheer force… This is amazing…"

As she immersed herself in enlightenment, an abyssal black aura radiated from her body.

"The fist's aura suppresses weaker opponents, making them falter instinctively. When fully executed, it doesn't just harm—it erases the target's very existence. The greater the resistance, the stronger it becomes, forcing even the heavens to yield."

But Ella wasn't satisfied.

She wanted something more.

Something even more domineering.

Something that would bring absolute destruction.

BOOM!

A massive shockwave erupted from her body, shaking the air itself.

And then—

Ding!Congratulations to the Host for improving a heaven-defying technique!

▶ Through sheer will and overwhelming power, the Host's comprehension has transcended limitations and forged a new path. Please name the newly created technique.

Ella clenched her fists, feeling the boundless destructive force surging within her. A smirk tugged at her lips as she declared—

"I name it—Heaven-Shattering Emperor Fist."
