Awakening[2]

I stepped onto the blue bus, my heart pounding slightly. At least 25 students were already inside, all around my age, all heading to the academy. The seats were arranged in rows of two, and as I looked around, I saw some were already taken, while others remained empty. The windows were large and clear, letting in the bright sunlight, and through them, I could see the tall academy buildings in the distance.

I chose a seat near the middle, by the window. As I sat down, I ran my fingers over the soft leather of the seat—way better than the rough, old bus seats I used to know before the world changed.

The bus started moving, the engine humming as we left the dormitory.

For a while, I just stared outside, watching the streets pass by. It had been three years since the apocalypse happened, and yet, everything felt the same. The road we were taking was the same one I had walked down three years ago, back when my life was normal.

"It's the same, huh…"

The same path. The same feeling. But I was different.

The Academy Gates

After about twenty minutes, the bus stopped at a massive gate. I looked up at it in awe. The academy was no joke—the entrance alone was at least 30 feet tall, built from some kind of futuristic black metal that shimmered slightly under the sunlight.

Beyond the gate, I saw a huge campus—a city within a city. There were multiple buildings, each one towering high, each with its own purpose.

I had read about them before on the academy's website, but seeing them in real life was something else.

The Nine Academy Sections

The academy was divided into nine main sections:

Section A – The Academy Dorms (where students lived). It had five massive buildings designed for different ranks.

Section B – The Training Grounds, featuring one-on-one combat arenas, gym facilities, and battle simulators.

Section C – The Grand Library, filled with books, records, and research on powers, history, and combat techniques.

Section D – The Teachers' Quarters, where the academy instructors and professors lived.

Section E – The Clubhouses, where students formed groups and organizations based on their interests.

Section F – The Medical Center, where healing and research on abilities took place.

Section G – Unknown

Section H – Unknown

Section I – Unknown

All new students were first taken to Section B for skill registration. One by one, students went up to a terminal, placing their hands on a glowing screen, which scanned their abilities and assigned them an official rank.

I knew I had to be careful.

My real power was beyond anything normal. My angelic summon was classified as Godlike Rank, which was at the very top of the ranking system I had read about the Rank system there were 16 ranks

F Rank

E Rank

D Rank

C Rank

B Rank

A Rank

S Rank

SS Rank

SSS Rank

Master Rank

Great Master Rank

Mythical Rank

Legendary Rank

Invincible Rank

Transcendent Rank

Godlike Rank

And yet, my system showed me as Rank G, which wasn't even on the list.

"If they find out I have a Godlike creature, my life will never be normal becuse I also read that there are only 16 godlikes in the world 11 of them have already been found

So, I lied.

I registered my skill as Super Healing Creature Summon and summoned a tortoise with large leaf-like plates on its back. It was an S-Rank creature, strong enough to heal anything within a 5-meter radius.

It wasn't my real power, but it was good enough to keep attention away from me.

Where I got this creature, it was really simple I just asked godlike, why didn't I get any power like fire control etc because somehow Godlike was not able to give me power so instead it provided me with a s rank creature which I can control

After registering, my profile on my device and my system both uptade,

Artic Ross – F Rank

Strength: F Rank

Agility: G Rank

Intelligence: F Rank

Combat Proficiency: G Rank

Endurance: G Rank

Senses: G Rank

Vitality: G Rank

Mana Control: G

I stared at the system ,

"Wait… why did my Intelligence and Strength increase?"

I had no idea.

That's good

With my registration complete, I was assigned Room 904 on the 9th floor of Dorm Building 2 of section A ,

I walked through the hallways, heading to my new room.

Then, suddenly…

I froze.

Up ahead, standing near the door to one of the rooms, was someone I knew.

Someone I never expected to see again.

My heart skipped a beat.

"No way… what is he doing here?"
