Morning Routine – A New Day Begins
The soft rays of morning sunlight slipped through the large glass window of Room 904, casting a warm glow on the wooden floor. The room was quiet, except for the gentle sound of breathing.
Artic slowly opened his eyes. His body felt sore from last night's training, but he was used to it by now. As he turned to his left, his arm brushed against the cool sheets. His blanket was half on the floor, as usual.
He sighed and sat up, stretching his arms. The light from outside made the room seem peaceful, but he knew that today was anything but ordinary.
The Combat Proficiency Test and Mana Control Test.
Artic pushed himself out of bed, his bare feet touching the smooth wooden floor. He walked towards the bathroom, rubbing his face as he passed by the mirror. His black hair was a mess, sticking up in random places, and his silver eyes looked slightly dull from sleep.
The bathroom was spacious, with marble walls and a glass shower stall. The moment he turned on the water, steam filled the room. As the warm water ran down his body, he took a deep breath.
"Time to see where I stand although I may not be able to see anyone from class becuse of different test areas but no need to be disappointed since most of them are stronger than me"

Breakfast and Heading to the Test Hall
Dressed in the standard black academy uniform with gold lining, Artic left his dorm. The hallways were already bustling with students, all talking about the upcoming tests.
He grabbed a quick breakfast from the cafeteria—a simple plate of eggs, toast, and a glass of milk. He ate fast, not bothering to sit down, before heading toward the test hall.
The Academy Testing Center was a massive white stone building with tall pillars and glowing blue runes along its walls in Section A . The inside was even more impressive—a grand arena with training dummies, testing machines, and a large screen displaying student names.
Students stood in lines, waiting for their turn. Some looked confident, others nervous. Artic took a deep breath and joined the line for the Combat Proficiency Test.

Combat Proficiency Test
"The Combat Proficiency Test measured a student's raw strength, agility, and combat ability. Each student had to hit a mana-reinforced testing dummy, and their score would be displayed on the screen , student after student were taking the test one by one I didn't see anyone from my class although I didn't wanted to show them my weakness but still I was hoping to find andrew since we were in the same floor" suddenly a beautiful voice called my name
"Next! Artic, Room 904!"
I stepped forward. The testing dummy in front of me looked like a solid metal humanoid figure, glowing with blue lines to absorb damage.
A professor, a tall woman with short brown hair, nodded. "Hit it with full strength."
I took a deep breath, clenching my fist. My muscles tensed, veins slightly visible under his skin. The moment ithrew his punch—
BOOM!
A shockwave burst through the air as the dummy was pushed back some inches, its metal denting slightly.
Someone from the crowd said "That's below average for a first-year."
I stepped back, I knew I gave my best there is no need for me to be disappointed after that many other students took the test more than half of students did better than me
I moved to the next line—the Mana Control Test.

Mana Control Test
Unlike the combat test, the Mana Control Test measured how well a student could manipulate mana. The goal was to channel mana into a floating crystal ball and keep the energy stable.
"Next! Artic, Room 904!"
I placed my hands on the glowing blue crystal. The moment i did, i felt mana flowing into my palms. I tried to guide it carefully…
But the crystal flickered violently.
A sharp crack ran through the surface before the crystal dimmed completely.
The screen displayed:
Mana Control: G
Silence.
Some students snickered. "Wow… That's awful."
A tall student with slicked-back blond hair smirked. "Can't even control mana? How embarrassing."
I clenched his fists but said nothing. I stepped away, ignoring the whispers.

On the leader board
A few names stood out:
Adam cehq – roll no 1 my one of my close friend i didn't see him anywhere but Combat: 3.5 | Mana Control: B
Eliza Mayfair – A tall girl with short red hair and piercing green eyes. Combat: 3.0 | Mana Control: A
Derrick Onyx – A quiet, muscular guy with dark skin and gray eyes. Combat: 4.1 | Mana Control: C
These students were strong. Stronger than most
As the tests nearly finished, the professors were about to dismiss some of the students when suddenly—
BOOM!
A loud explosion echoed from other room .The walls trembled slightly. Students gasped and turned toward the source.
A professor rushed inside, his face pale. "Students, stay where you are"
"What's happening?" someone whispered.
Through the large glass windows, Artic saw on one of the screen of a machine Combat Power:9.0 Mana Control:
A tall white student with black hair and red eyes ,fairy muscular and handsome in front of the machine smiling.
