Training[2]

I sat in the lobby of my house, sinking into the sofa, feeling both tired and... well, a little lost. A lot had happened in the past month. I had entered the academy, spent two whole weeks wandering around cluelessly, and only now, after finally starting classes, had I realized just how much time I had wasted. Classic me.

Just as I was about to get lost in my own thoughts, Silia walked in, holding a glass of water like she had already prepared it in advance.

Okay, weird.

Even weirder? She wasn't surprised to see me. No "Oh, you're back!" or "Where were you?"—just this calm, knowing look, like she had already predicted this exact moment.

That… surprised me.

I took the glass from her, gulped it down, and when I finished, there was nothing but silence. An awkward silence. I hated awkward silences.

So, I broke it.

"How are you, Silia? You look… uh… good." Smooth. Very smooth. "How has the past month been?"

"It's been boring. Very boring," she said flatly.

…Okay. Another silence. A long one.

I scratched my head. "Uh, okay. I'm sorry. I— I didn't know what to do. Everything happened really fast, and I just thought that was the optimal choice at the time."

She didn't say anything.

I sighed. "Okay, sorry. Please?"

Silia blinked at me, then finally said, "Okay. I forgive you. Just give me something to do next time."

Huh. That was easy. I smiled. "Noted."

We talked for a little while after that, just catching up. Mostly me rambling about how the academy was weird, how I wasn't sure what I had even been doing for the first two weeks, and how I was already behind in my studies. Silia just listened, nodding occasionally.

Then, I decided to get to the point.

"Hey, do you know any way to make me stronger?"

Silia tilted her head. "I could train you… if you stayed with me."

Awkward silence. Again.

"You know I can't," I said, shaking my head. "I need powers, Silia. Why can't you just give me abilities?"

She looked at me, her expression unreadable. "I didn't know there were things I couldn't do… but I can help you in other ways. Like how I gave you Luna."

Hmm. That was true.

I thought about it for a moment. Then, an idea struck me.

"Can you give me a weapon? Like… an S-rank weapon?"

Silia nodded. "Yes. But you won't be able to use it because you're C-rank."

Silence.

Awkward silence.

"I'm F-rank."

Cough. Silia suddenly cleared her throat. "O-oh. Hmm."

I squinted at her. "You knew."

She looked away. "I can see people's ranks… but only with their permission. Rank is a personal thing."

Great. She knew and still let me embarrass myself.

I sighed. "Fine. Just give me a C-rank sword, then."

A bright light flashed in Silia's hands, and suddenly, a sword appeared. She handed it to me.

I looked at the stats:

[C-Rank Sword]

Ability: Can be infused with mana for 2 minutes a day.

Okay, not bad. Could be worse.

I gripped the sword, feeling its weight. Silia, watching me, suddenly asked, "Where will you keep that sword?"

Silence.

Awkward silence.

Oh. Yeah. Good question.

"Uh… give me something to keep it in?"

Her hand glowed again, and this time, a bracelet appeared. She handed it to me.

[Storage Bracelet]

Capacity: 100 cubic meters.

I put it on, and a small, black, circular void appeared in front of me. Neat. I threw the sword into it, and it vanished. Then, I looked at the bracelet itself—it was white with black buttons.

"Cool," I muttered.

Silia then asked, "So, how much time do you have?"

"One day. Tomorrow, I have to go to the bank and the court."

"So, what do we do today?" she asked.

"I dunno. Probably teach me how to use a sword?"

Silia nodded, and just like that, my training began.

---

Silia was a terrifying teacher.

She didn't hold back. At all. The moment I picked up the sword, she was already throwing attacks at me, expecting me to react like some master swordsman. Spoiler: I wasn't.

I barely managed to block, dodge, and parry as she moved around me like a ghost.

"You're slow."

"I—huff—know!"

"Your footwork is terrible."

"Thanks—huff—for the encouragement!"

After what felt like a million swings, parries, and dodges, I collapsed onto the ground, sweating buckets.

Meanwhile, Silia stood over me, looking like she hadn't even broken a sweat. "That was decent for a first time."

I wheezed. "That's a lie, and we both know it."

She smirked.

Then, as if the day wasn't weird enough, she pulled out a fruit and tossed it toward Luna.

The little turtle took one bite—

—and then immediately started glowing.

Oh. Oh no.

Luna's body grew bigger, her shell expanded, and a dark green vine sprouted from it. Her face turned a deeper blue, and her tail grew longer and thicker.

When the light faded, Luna blinked, looking up at me.

I blinked back. "Silia. What did you do?"

"I evolved her," she said, as if that was a normal sentence.

"...Yeah, I can see that."

Luna, now twice her original size, made a happy little noise and wiggled her tail.

Okay. This was fine. This was normal. Totally.

After that silia gave me 30 green coloured glowing pills which she told me to take daily after training it will help me to increase rank since she can't gave me any skill and I cannot ask her anything too strong which will kill me she gave me weak pills to help me increase my strength,

A Quick Tour, Then Sleep

After recovering from the Luna Evolution Incident, I took some time to look around my house again.

Each room felt both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. The living room, the kitchen, the study—everything was just as I had left it, but it felt... different. Like a place I had almost forgotten.

Once the tour was over, Silia and I went to sleep.

She, for some reason, decided to sleep in my room. Even though she didn't need sleep, she liked to sleep.

I, on the other hand, slept in my parents' room or atleast tried to sleep while trying to sleep I was thinking of all the things happened today and all the things silia gave me a sword , a bracelet, Evolution of my summon and in then end 30 green pills hmmmmmm nice I will get strong now I think , also why don't I ask her for money I thought she can give me unlimited money right?

Before leaving for the bank and the court, I decided to show Silia what a TV was.

Her reaction? Confusion.

Then, I handed her a phone and explained how to text.

Her reaction? Even more confusion.

"Why do humans communicate through small glowing boxes?"

"Because it's fast."

"Faster than telepathy?"

"Okay, most humans don't have telepathy, Silia."

She stared at the phone, then back at me. "...I see. How do I send a message?"

I sighed and spent the next thirty minutes teaching her how to use a smartphone.

By the end, she managed to type "Hi Artic" and sent it to me.

Progress.

With that, I finally left for the bank and the Bureaucracy, signatures, papers, and a lot of waiting in line.

After wrapping up, I headed straight back to the academy, ready for another ridiculous day.

…And I had a feeling things were only going to get weirder from here.
