I was thinking of a way to help Chronos return to his parents. With Silia's abilities, it wouldn't be difficult. But suddenly, she spoke in a calm voice.
"There are 10 people around us within 1 km."
I was shocked. 10 people? I asked for their ranks.
"All of them are SSS-rank," Silia replied.
I couldn't believe it. Ten SSS-rank warriors were near us? That was insane! I turned to Silia and asked, "Can you handle them?"
She answered without hesitation. "100%. I can kill them easily."
Before I could respond, she spoke again. "They're outside."
I quickly tapped my bracelet, and a C-rank sword appeared in my hand. "Hide in my shadow," I told Silia, and then I stepped outside.
The Betrayal
Outside, eight people were pointing Aquarion spears at me. Two others were giving something to Chronos—it looked like a green glowing ball. I was trying to understand what was happening when Chronos looked at me and spoke.
"Hey, you! These are my bodyguards. Don't be afraid, they won't kill you. They're here to take me home."
I didn't say anything.
Chronos smiled. "Since you helped me, I should repay you, right?"
Then, in a solemn voice, he turned to one of the guards and said:
"Kill this human… and the female one inside."
My heart stopped for a second. What the hell was he saying?
I demanded, "What is the meaning of this?"
He looked at me with disgust. "How dare a mere human try to make a deal with me?"
I was speechless. Did he really think I was beneath him? Did he really believe that his SSS-rank bodyguards could protect him?
He never saw it coming.
Before the guards could even react—
Silia killed them all in an instant.
Chronos stood frozen, his face pale. He screamed in fear.
"What happened"
"I was joking! In our world, humans are considered weak and pathetic. That's why I said that! Please, don't kill me!"
I stepped forward, holding my sword to his neck.
"I have something for you! Don't kill me!" he begged.
He pulled out the green glowing ball and handed it to me.
"This is an Oster fruit. It makes you resistant to water-type attacks. Please, take it and spare me."
I stared at him. "I can just take it and kill you anyway."
Chronos' eyes widened. "But only I know how to use it properly!"
Suddenly, Silia spoke.
"Not only you."
A moment later—
Chronos' head fell to the ground.
The Truth About the Oster Fruit
Silia explained how to use the Oster fruit:
1. Keep it close to your body for seven days so it adapts to you.
2. After that, squeeze out the juice and drink it.
3. The effects will develop slowly over time.
I nodded, but my mind was full of questions. Why did Chronos try to kill me? What was he thinking?
Then I remembered something important—the Elder who was paralyzed by silia.
"Silia, bring him here."
A moment later, the blue-skinned, statue-like old man appeared in front of me he was still paralyzed. As soon as Silia released him, he collapsed, coughing.
After three hours, he woke up. I wasted no time.
"Why did you try to kill Chronos?"
He said nothing. He just stared at me. Then, in a serious voice, he asked:
"Why is a pathetic human is on our planet?"
I slapped him three times, hard.
"Answer my question, or I'll kill you."
He clenched his teeth and finally spoke.
"Chronos made a deal with the demons. That's why I wanted to kill him."
I turned to Silia. "Is he telling the truth?"
She nodded. He wasn't lying.
I had to be sure this time i didn't wanted to get fooled again . "Where did the demons come from?"
The Elder hesitated, then said:
"They started appearing three years ago. At first, they were weak, harmless. But now anyone who makes a deal with them either disappears or dies."
I frowned. "If people die, why do they still make deals?"
"Because demons grant power," he replied. "They appear when someone is at their weakest and manipulate their emotions."
The Assassin's Mission
"Who are you? And why did you want Chronos dead?" I asked.
"I am Noras, from the Aquarion Guardian Assassin Group. Our mission is to kill anyone who makes a deal with the demons. Chronos is the son of an influential person, so we couldn't jail him. That's why we were ordered to kill him."
I smirked. "Well, I already killed him. Now what?"
Noras' expression changed instantly. His eyes turned blood-red with rage.
"You humans want war with the Aquarions?! How dare you lay hands on a superior species?!"
I couldn't help but laugh. Did he really not understand his situation?
But then—
His head fell to the ground.
I turned to Silia, worried. "Now what? Did we just start a war with an alien race?"
She was about to answer when—
A terrifying presence appeared.
From behind a tree 30 meters away, I felt something watching us.
Then, in an instant, it teleported right in front of me.
A red-skinned humanoid with horns and massive black wings stood there, looking at Noras' lifeless body.
Then, it started laughing.
"Kekekeke… You killed him? Kekekekeke…."
Escape
Before I could react—
Silia grabbed me and ran.
Everything around me felt hot. In just ten seconds, we were behind a massive mushroom near a large pond.
I looked at Silia.
She stared at me and said, "There were over 100 demons above Master-rank. It could have been dangerous for you. That's why I acted without telling you."
I sighed. She saved my life. Again.
"So… you finally found an enemy you can't kill?" I asked.
She gave me a blank stare. "I could kill them easily. The problem was the numbers. If I were alone, I'd wipe them out."
I was speechless.
I still couldn't measure her strength.
A New Plan
"What now?" I asked.
Silia was silent for a moment. "I don't know."
That made things awkward.
"What if we live here? Build a new house?" I suggested.
She shook her head. "The demons will find us. We're only 1032 km away from them."
I sighed. "So what do I do? I wanted to reach S-rank in five years and then return to Earth. Now I might have to leave early."
Silia nodded. "There are 100 other planets. We can go to one."
Before I could answer—
30 Aquarions suddenly teleported around us.
"HUMANS! WE FOUND HUMANS!" they screamed.
Silia acted instantly.
In a blink—
All 30 of them were unconscious.
"Did you kill them?" I asked.
She nodded. "Yes. I strangled them. No blood."
I took a deep breath. I had to decide Aquarions and demons both were attacking us.
Go back to Earth… or find another planet?
I exhaled and made my choice.
"Silia, take me back to Earth and kill all the demons in this planet then come back ."
She replied "if your life is in danger that's my priority "
I nodded
A black portal opened.
I stepped inside.
And then i saw a white and grey colored house in front of me —I was home.
