Getting introduced to class

As I was arranging my room, I heard a knock on the door. I left everything and went to check who it was. "Who is knocking?" I asked. I heard a reply, "Kex, this is Silia. I'm here to deliver your academy uniform."

I opened the door, and Silia handed me the clothes. She also told me that breakfast had begun and would be over in an hour before leaving.

I looked at the academy uniform, which came in triple sets: one winter jacket, one regular coat, and one half-coat for summer, along with three shirts and three pairs of pants. The coat was red, the pants were black, and the shirts were white. The coat had the Ursaleo symbol stitched on its back, representing the house.

After my half-assed arrangement of the room, I was quite hungry, so I quickly changed into the uniform and headed straight to the mess hall, which was located beside the reception desk.

As I entered the hall, there were a few people — some busy eating, others busy staring at me — but after a while, they stopped gazing.

I saw many kinds of food laid out, so I took a piece of everything and devoured it all. After finishing, I left the hall and went to find Silia, as I had no idea where the classes were held.

I asked Silia, "Umm, where are the classes?"

She looked at my face and said, "Go outside. Your friend has been waiting for five minutes."

I walked outside the dorm, wondering who this "friend" could be. "Hey Kex, finally got admitted into the academy! I think now you don't have to spend your time in the guest room or the infirmary, huh?" there he was — Zodwic Delly — standing there with a big laugh on his face.

"Yeah, I think I finally have my own room here. Thanks for coming, Delly. I was so confused about the classrooms, but now that you're here, I have no problem. Oh wait, I forgot to ask — which class are you in?" I said as I went up to him, hugged him, and started asking questions.

"I'm in Class 5. What about you?"

"Fuck, I'm in the same class! I'm lucky as hell, bro. I got into the same class as you. Now I don't have any tension about the class with you around. By the way, judging by your coat color and symbol, are you from House Onidrake?" we chatted while walking toward the classrooms.

"Yeah, green represents House Onidrake. Blue is for House Hippocampus, Silver for House Whiteoyak, and Yellow for House Phosperors. Anyway, leaving that aside, did you have breakfast? We have combat class today."

We entered the academic block, which looked like a magnificent castle built of marble. For a second, I even mistook it for a real castle.

"Don't worry, I loaded my stomach with everything on the breakfast menu," I said. Delly gave me a look that basically said, How the hell did you eat all that?

He left me in front of the professors' staff room and told me to go inside and meet the section professor to start attending class.

So, I did. I walked to the Section 5 professor's desk, where I found a petite woman — or you could say a dwarf — standing and neatly arranging her desk.

She was so focused on her work that she didn't even notice me.

"Hello, Professor. I'm Kex Tejowrath from House Ursaleo. I got admitted through LEE yesterday," I said. As soon as I spoke, she jumped out of fear, her face full of shock.

"Don't scare me by talking out of nowhere! You could have called out to me if you wanted to talk," she said, regaining her composure and standing before me.

"I'm sorry, Professor. I didn't mean to scare you. I'll make sure not to do that again."

"Alright. So, why did you come to me?" she asked.

"I came as an LEE student, Professor. I got selected into Section 5, so I came to meet you."

"Ohh, so you're one of the LEE students who got admitted into my class. I just received the information about you students. Two students got admitted into my class — one is you, and the other is—"

"I'm the other one, Professor," a voice chimed in from behind me.

Turning around, I saw a girl with silver-blonde hair standing there with a calm smile. "I'm Meera Valheim. Please take care of me, dear Professor Magarita De Kusorlis," she said, adding a respectful bow.

Professor Magarita flushed pink, clearly flustered by the formal address. I guess she gets easily swayed by a little respect.

She checked her clock, grabbed her teaching materials, and started walking, instructing us to follow her.

We walked behind Professor Magarita and reached Class 5. She entered first, and we stood beside her on the small stage.

"My dear students," Professor Magarita said, "Today is a gracious day as we have two new students joining our class. Please welcome them with a round of applause."

Everyone clapped.

"Now, both of you, please introduce yourselves to the class," said Professor Magarita.

"Good morning, everyone. I'm Meera Valheim from Cocuco City. I look forward to learning with you and helping where I can. Please take care of me from now on," Mira said.

Her introduction earned heavy applause, making a strong impact on the other students.

When it was my turn, I said, "Nice to meet you all. I'm Kex Tejowrath from Malaket Town."

Some students clapped in response.

"You may sit wherever you like. Make yourselves comfortable," said Professor Magarita.

I went straight to Delly and sat beside him. All around me were students of various species — some with horns, wings, or scales. For a moment, it felt surreal. Then, strangely, it felt normal.

"What subject does Professor Magarita teach?" I whispered into Delly's ear.

"She excels in magic. Honestly, she's a six-star ranked mage, but I don't know why she's here teaching at an academy," Delly answered.

A dwarf who excels in magic... it was my first time hearing something like that. And to think she's a six-star mage — that was seriously fascinating.

Professor Magarita seemed like a mixture of many incredible traits.

I figured I could learn a lot from her, especially since my magic was poor. I only knew one spell — a fireball — which an unknown beggar had once taught me using uso.

Then Professor Magarita began her class, and I listened with utmost sincerity.
