Fate of the Land – The War for the City (Part 2)

The cease-and-desist letter sat on the table between them, the bold legal threats glaring under the dim light of Laura's apartment.

"You think a piece of paper is going to stop us?" Laura scoffed, tossing it aside.

Frank, however, wasn't as quick to dismiss it. He ran a hand through his hair, tension tightening his shoulders. "It's not just a piece of paper, Laura. It's a warning. They're making their move."

Elias, who had been quietly watching, finally spoke. "That means you're getting close."

Laura straightened, determination flickering in her eyes. "So, we push harder."

Frank exhaled. "Right. But we need to be smart about it."

Novacorp Strikes Back

Novacorp responded with everything they had counter-lawsuits, smear campaigns, even threats. But the people refused to back down.

Laura stood before a crowd at the steps of City Hall, microphone in hand. "This land isn't just real estate. It's history, community, and a promise that we won't let greed erase us!"

The cheers that followed shook the city.

The Semi-Final Stand

Novacorp, desperate to silence them, moved to demolish the community center overnight. No warning. No legal process. Just bulldozers and security guards under the cover of darkness.

They had called in the city. Hundreds of people blocked the site, standing together in defiance.

And for the first time, Novacorp hesitated.
