One night, the moon was shining brightly, and an old man was sitting on a wooden chair in an old wooden house, stroking a small wooden ring tied around his neck with a string. The old man had long hair, and although he was almost 80 years old, his hair was still a little gray. The old man was definitely alive, but his eyes were as colorless as a dead man's, and the red light showed that he had had beautiful eyes in his youth. He looked at the moon and thought about the long past.
"Luka, isn't this beautiful? I'll take it as a birthday present for you, right?" He remembered the voice of a familiar girl who had given him this ring. The person's name was Luka, and he closed his eyes, thinking about something. "I think my memory will fade as I get older," he whispered.
At that moment, Luke heard the sound of horse hooves approaching him. The sound came from a distance, but it was easy for the user to hear. Luke remembered that some people had seen him while he was out hunting that morning. "I should have killed those bastards," he muttered, slowly getting up from the wooden chair. It was too late to run with this old body. He entered the house. As he opened the door to enter the house, the wooden door that was leaning against the wall fell to the floor with a loud clang. Jake ignored it and entered the house. His house only had one bedroom, and he seemed to be an ordinary person. There was only a bed and a table. He picked up the leather armor on the table and put it on. At the same time, he heard the sound of horse hooves outside the house and the loud voice of an old man giving orders. He slowly walked out of the house and grabbed the long sword hanging by the door. He opened the door and looked carefully outside.
He saw a group of strong men wearing golden armor and riding white horses standing silently around the house. The horsemen seemed to be over fifty noble knights. Jake looked around calmly, noticing the large crowd but the silence, and realized what was happening. He was ready to pull his sword from its sheath. Just as he was about to say something, a man who seemed to be a horseman shouted, "Luke!! Long time no see!" Luke frowned and looked at the man. He looked at the man with a bald head and white beard, and suddenly shouted, "Who are you? I don't think I know you." The man frowned and said, "It's dark in here, Luke, I don't think you can see for sure." The man took a torch from a nearby horseman and held it close to his face. The man's face was clearly visible. The man had a large scar that ran from the top of his head to his cheek. "Luke, every time I see that scar, I want to cut you to pieces. You've spent 46 years of your life with me," he said. Luke hesitated for a moment and then said, "James, are you still alive? You should die." Luke was shocked and furious as he thought back to the past. He drew his sword. Unable to control himself, he grabbed it and shouted, "James!" as he ran towards the man. The man named James stood there, motionless. Luke aimed his sword at James' neck and slashed it down. Before Luke's sword could reach James, a golden barrier appeared, blocking Luke's attack and pushing him away.
Luke was thrown far away by the golden barrier and the severe impact on his aging body, and he could not get up. Then James came to where Luke was lying, and said, "Don't think about the past, serve our God of Light now. With your sword skills and the title of Sword of Light, it is not difficult to obtain." He intended to cut off Luke's head, and stabbed Luke's neck with his golden sword. Luke stared at James, his eyes almost burning with fire. Even though Luke was cursing, James smiled and said, "Luke, you are really weak. Without a system, no one can survive in this world. You shouldn't have dismantled the system. Otherwise, you would still be strong and useful." Luke angrily shouted, "Because of people like you, humans are the servants of the gods. You are the ones who don't establish your own strength. You are more cruel than the Demon King." At that moment, James said, "I didn't come to convince you either. Where did you hide the Demon King's core anyway?" He asked casually. Luke smiled a mocking smile and asked, "Why does the Pope want to be the new Demon King, James?" James kicked Luke's jaw with his foot and said, "Look, if you don't answer here, I'll definitely ask you when you get to prison." He ordered the Holy Knights to arrest Luke.
"Hey!! I'm not done yet!" Luke said, pulling the rope around his neck. "James, do you think you're strong? As long as you're using that system, your strength will still be limited." He put on the wooden ring and shouted, "James, do you think you can get out of here easily?" As he shouted, black mana erupted from Luke's body. "What you and Pope want so much is in this ring." James didn't have time to react due to the unexpected situation, and James's sword slashed the knights to pieces. Luke transformed from a weak old man into a demon. Luke had become one with the Demon King's core. James was shocked and shouted, "Luke, you absorbed the Demon King's power!!" "What? Why do you think that? This is my own power," he said, and attacked James with a series of fierce attacks. The fierce battle had destroyed the nearby trees.
James was exhausted from the battle, unable to resist Luke's attacks. Luke's attacks were falling on James' body one after another. Luke's final blow was aimed at James' neck, shattering the golden shield that had protected him, and James' head fell to the ground with a pool of warm blood.
Luke knelt on the ground, exhausted, his lungs almost bursting. Luke gasped for air when he saw a blade sticking out of his back and piercing his lungs. By the time he realized it, it was too late. He turned around and saw a mysterious man dressed in black. He drew his sword and said, "This is a good fight, Mr. Luke." Luke's entire body went cold, his vision blurred, and his vision went dark.
