The New Beginning

Parvat followed Mia as she led him through the massive halls of the elite school. She walked ahead, barely looking back, her footsteps echoing through the quiet corridor.

"I'll start your training tomorrow," she said flatly before turning and walking away.

Parvat stood there for a moment, watching her leave. Training? Successor? What exactly was the principal talking about? He shook his head, pushing the thoughts aside. Right now, he had a class to attend.

Taking a deep breath, he stepped inside.

The classroom was huge, filled with students who looked sharp and disciplined. Their gazes fixed on him as he entered, some whispering among themselves. The teacher, an elderly man with glasses, adjusted his tie and gestured toward Parvat.

"Class, we have a new student today," the teacher announced. "Introduce yourself."

Parvat nodded. "I'm Parvat."

Some students chuckled at his short introduction, but the teacher didn't mind. He simply smiled and motioned for him to take a seat.

The class started as usual, but when the teacher asked some complex questions, Parvat answered them effortlessly. Some students looked surprised—he wasn't just strong; he was smart too.

The day passed quickly, and soon, the final bell rang.

As Parvat walked out of the school gates, his mind drifted back to what the principal had said. "What exactly is an ability?" he thought. Was it something supernatural? Some kind of skill? He had no clue.

Still deep in thought, he barely noticed the ride home.

When he stepped inside the house, Sumit was waiting for him with an excited grin.

"Hey, Parvat! Meet my girlfriend!" Sumit said, pulling a girl toward him.

Parvat raised an eyebrow. "Nice to meet you."

The girl just smiled politely.

Before they could talk much, Sumit clapped his hands together. "Alright, let's go! We're getting a dog today!"

Parvat was confused at first, but then he just nodded and went along. They visited a pet store, looking at different dogs before finally choosing one—a strong, energetic black German Shepherd.

When they came back home with the dog, Sumit's girlfriend had already made herself comfortable in the house.

Not long after, Aunt Mania arrived home from work. She sighed as she entered, clearly tired, but still managed a smile when she saw the dog.

"You boys are something else," she said, shaking her head.

Dinner was lively. They talked, laughed, and enjoyed their meal together. Parvat, despite everything that had happened, felt a strange sense of peace.

After dinner, he grabbed a book and started reading, letting himself get lost in another world. Later, he played some video games with his brothers before finally going to bed.

Tomorrow was another day. And tomorrow, his training would begin.

The next morning, Parvat woke up early, feeling a strange mix of excitement and unease. He quickly got ready and headed to school. Today, he would finally get some answers.

The class went on as usual—lectures, questions, and a few students throwing him curious glances. But something felt off.

Someone was standing at the door.

He glanced up. It was Mia.

She stood there silently, arms crossed, watching him. Why was she waiting for him?

As soon as the bell rang, signaling the end of the class, Mia turned and walked away without a word. Parvat hesitated for a moment before following her.

She led him through the long corridors, past rows of classrooms, and finally stopped in front of a locked door. She pushed it open and stepped inside.

Parvat followed her into a dimly lit training hall, lined with wooden floors and thick, reinforced walls. It looked nothing like a normal school room—this place was built for combat.

He looked around before turning to Mia. "Do you live in the school?" he asked.

She didn't even glance at him. "That's none of your concern," she said, her voice cold and uninterested. "Now, let's start your training."

"Training for what?" he asked.

She turned to face him. "Your ability system."

Parvat frowned. "What even is that? I don't have any ability."

Mia smirked. "Then why did the principal say you were strong? Why did he call you his 'successor'?"

Parvat didn't have an answer.

Mia took a deep breath and said, "Every student here has an ability. It's what sets this school apart from the rest. And now, you need to awaken yours."

Parvat clenched his fists. So that's what this was about.

"What if I don't have one?" he asked.

Mia's eyes sharpened. "Then you'll never survive in this place."

Parvat swallowed. He didn't know what kind of world he had stepped into, but one thing was clear—this was just the beginning.

Parvat hesitated for a moment before sitting down in the chair Mia had pointed to. He shifted uncomfortably, still processing everything that had happened in the last 24 hours.

Mia grabbed a whiteboard and turned to face him. "Watch carefully," she said, her voice sharp and authoritative.

She drew four letters on the board: C, B, A, and S.

"Abilities are categorized into four classes," she explained.

"C stands for Common, B for Better, A for Advanced, and S for Special."

Parvat raised an eyebrow. "Sounds like a game ranking system."

Mia ignored his comment and continued.

"C and B-class abilities are common and achievable. Some people are even born with them, making it easier to master. A-class abilities, however, are near-impossible to achieve, requiring years of training."

She paused and gave him a serious look.

"As for S-class… they are considered untouchable. They exist only in legends."

Parvat furrowed his brows. "So, you're saying people here actually have abilities? Like superpowers?"

Mia crossed her arms. "Not exactly. They're enhancements—some physical, some mental. They make you stronger, faster, or more perceptive. And if you're here, it means the principal sees potential in you."

Her words sounded like something straight out of a fantasy novel. He wanted to ask a hundred questions, but before he could, she suddenly clapped her hands.

"Now, we spar."

Parvat blinked. "Spar? Wait, what does that even mean?"

Mia smirked. "Fight me."

"Wait, what? Why?"

"Because you need to understand abilities firsthand. Don't worry; it's just a tutorial fight." Her smirk widened. "I won't hit you too hard. Or maybe I will. Depends on my mood."

Before Parvat could even react, she lunged at him.

Her punch landed cleanly in his stomach, knocking the air out of his lungs. A burning sensation spread through his body.

"Feel that?" she said. "That's my first C-class ability: Heat Up. It warms up my muscles instantly, so I'm always ready to fight."

Parvat staggered back, clutching his stomach, but she wasn't done.

She moved again—this time, too fast for him to track.

"This is my B-class ability: Quick Step. It enhances my speed."

A sharp kick landed on his side, sending him tumbling. He gasped, struggling to get up.

"And now…" she whispered.

Her eyes glowed faintly. A chill ran down Parvat's spine.

"This is my A-class ability: All-Seeing Stance. I can predict and react to every move you make."

Parvat barely had time to register the words before she was already moving. Her foot swept his legs out from under him, and her fist collided with his face.

Pain exploded in his head. The world spun. Darkness crept in.

---

When he woke up, he was lying on the floor of the training room.

Mia was leaning over him with a satisfied grin. "Not bad for your first lesson."

Parvat groaned, rubbing his face. "You call that a lesson?!"

She shrugged. "You lasted longer than I expected. That's a win in my book."

He forced himself to sit up, still feeling sore all over.

"From now on, you'll train with me every day. Your uncle's car will drop you here, and I'll take you back home."

Parvat sighed. He could tell she wasn't giving him a choice.

"And tomorrow," Mia added, standing up, "we start your real training. Today was just an introduction."

Parvat clenched his fists.

"Soon, you'll learn how to activate your abilities and master martial arts to enhance your level."

He took a deep breath, his determination solidifying.

If he was going to survive Mia's training, he needed to give it his all.

Before leaving, Mia turned back and smirked.

"Oh, and one more thing. Some people are born with multiple abilities. It's also possible with you."

Parvat's eyes widened.

Could he really have an ability hidden inside him?

Only time would tell.

Parvat groaned as he pushed himself up from the floor, his body still aching from the brutal "lesson" Mia had just given him. Despite the pain, he couldn't help but smile at her.

"You're pretty strong, Sensei."

Mia's face instantly turned red. She turned away, flustered. "D-Don't call me that!"

Parvat tilted his head. "Why not?"

She crossed her arms and muttered, "Because one day, you'll be stronger than me. People don't call weaklings 'Sensei'."

Parvat chuckled. "But you're not weak."

Mia exhaled sharply and shook her head. "Throw this topic away. The real question is, why do you think you can't become strong?"

Her words caught him off guard. Did he really think that?

Before he could answer, she turned her back to him. "Anyway, let's go. I'll drop you home."

As they walked outside, she added, "Oh, and remember—the day after tomorrow, you'll have a few days off. Rest up. You're going to need it."

Parvat nodded, feeling a mix of relief and curiosity.

When he finally got home, he collapsed onto his bed, staring at the ceiling.

Abilities… Training… Strength…

He clenched his fists.

If Mia believed he had potential, then maybe—just maybe—he could become strong after all.
