Wedding Ultimatum

Chapter 11

Ana's POV

I stood there frozen in shock, as the woman stood before me with a smug smile spread across her face.

" Well, well, well." I could hear the condescension dripping in her voice. "The little assistant in the penthouse, I've heard a lot of interesting things about you Ana." She knew my name.

" Can I help you?" I asked with a smile trying to sound polite. A cold chuckle escaped from her lips.

" I don't think you can help me dear, I'm here to see Marcus."

" Marcus isn't here, he barely stays here."

Daisy's smile faltered for a moment before she regained composure. "Well in that case, I guess I'll just have to wait for him." She pushed past me letting herself into the penthouse. I couldn't believe she just came and was about to upset the whole evening I had planned out. I shut the door and turned around, she was already seated making herself comfortable. I quickly went into the room to get dressed into something comfy, a baggy joggers and a sweatshirt would do the trick. I dailed Marcus' number while dressing up.

" Ana what do you want?" He asked immediately he picked up. He sounded like he was stressed out. He was a workaholic so It's expected.

" Daisy is here."

" What!"

" She said she came to see you." There was a long pause all I could hear was his steady breathing.

" Marcus?"

" I'll be there in the next fifteen minutes." He hanged up. Fifteen minute? I huffed before stepping out of my room. I went straight to the kitchen in order to avoid being in the same space with her. "What's up for dinner." She said picking a bottle of water and sitting on a stool in the kitchen island. She does know how to get so comfortable.

" Pizza? I guess."

" That's not healthy, you don't have like salad or a vegetable mix." I stared at her with a slice of pizza in my hand. Who it's salad for dinner?

I ignored her munching my pizza in silence. " You know Marcus bought this penthouse for me." She said breaking the silence. I looked at her with not much interest in what she was about to say.

" Every piece in this house was tailored just the was I liked it."

" Honestly, Daisy it's enough that you barge in here and disrupt my evening, I don't wish to hear about you and Marcus history." I snapped at her. Daisy looked at me with her eyes widened and lips slightly parted but after the suprise reaction came anger.

Just as she was about to give a comeback, we heard the sound of the elevator opening. Marcus walked in with eyebrows furrowed in anger.

" Daisy what are you doing here?"

" I came to see you, babe." She said coming down from the stool to meet him

" Don't come close, stay where you are." Marcus said firmly. She froze and sat back on the stool. I could see his jaw clenching and unclenching.

" I just want to talk to you, just give me a chance to explain."

" I'm listening." Daisy looked at me and scoffed.

" I meant privately Marcus." She said adding more stress on 'privately'.

" Anything you want to say, you say it here."

" I'm just going to leave." I said picking up my box of pizza to go to my room. I wasn't ready to be mixed with this drama.

" Ana stay." He said standing in my path.

" Please Marcus, I'll be in my room." I walked passed him. I plugged on my earphones immediately I got to my room. After what felt like hours I heard a knock on my room door.

" Who is there?"

" It's Marcus." I heard faintly from the other side of the door. I hesitated for a moment wondering if I should let him in. But something about his tone made me curious.

I opened the door and moved to the side so that he could come in. His eyes scanned around the room as if he was searching for something.

" You really made the room yours." I looked around. I had changed the setting of the room because I liked my bed facing the window.

" Yea." I said with a small smile. "How is your mum doing?."

" She's fine so far, recovering quickly. Thank you so much."

" Well it wasn't free, it came at a cost." He said subtly reminding me of the contract. I rolled my eyes at him.

" I'm going to pretend like I didn't see that. I just want to apologize for the inconvenience Daisy caused you.

" It's fine, I understand. You guys have history."

" She's in the past now. I wanted to talk to you about something." He said pinching the bridge of his nose.

" What's that?"

" We are getting married." My eyes widened, horrified at the statement he just made.

" There is no way that is happening, I didn't agree to that."

" Yes, you agreed to be mine for five years and don't forget you owe me." His dominant aura filled the room.

" Yes but not get fucking married to you."

" Did you even read any part of the contract?" I closed my eyes letting out a frustrated sigh. I just realized that I had really entered this without thinking. I gulped in fear, was that in the contract? Why didn't I read it? I wasn't really thinking straight.

" No I didn't."

" Well it was stated in the contract that we could get married if need be." It is one thing to be a contract lover but being a wife and having a wedding was on another level.

" So you just want to use me?" I asked staring blankly.

" You have nothing to worry about, just pick the colours and your wedding dress and leave the rest to the event planner." I said rising up and ready to leave.

" I'm not ready to do this, please Marcus. I'm begging you." I fell to my knees but he didn't even spare me a glance.

" We are getting married and that is final." That was the last thing he said before he walked it out leaving me alone with my thoughts.
