**Chapter 64: How Legends Are Born**

"What do you know?"

Harry and Ron both leaned in closer.

Dylan, meanwhile, was still munching on his durian.

Hermione opened her bag and pulled out a book.

"This is another gift Dylan gave me."

"What? Why did Dylan give you two gifts?" Ron exclaimed, his eyes widening.

Hermione waved her hand dismissively. "That's not the point. The point is, guess what I found in this book?"

Dylan glanced at the title in Hermione's hand: *The Legendary Alchemist*.

"Alchemy? Did you learn how to turn lead into gold or something?" Ron asked, confused.

Harry's eyebrows shot up. "Alchemy? Headmaster Dumbledore is an alchemist too. He gave me an eternally blooming flower for Christmas."

"That flower was created by combining magic and a special plant through alchemy. It even changes color based on my mood!"

"Hey! Why didn't Headmaster Dumbledore give me a gift?" Ron's eyes widened even further.

Neither Harry nor Hermione paid him any attention.

Hermione quickly flipped through the pages of the book. "The Nicolas Flamel we've been looking for is an alchemist! But what's fascinating is that he lived in the 14th century!"

"This book documents many of his alchemical creations, including the Philosopher's Stone!"

Harry blinked. "The 14th century? That was hundreds of years ago!"

Ron gasped. "So the person we're looking for lived centuries ago! No wonder we couldn't find Nicolas Flamel in any of the modern wizarding directories in the library!"

Hermione shot him a sharp look. "Stop rambling and listen!"

Dylan, sitting nearby, couldn't help but overhear their conversation.

When he noticed Hermione's tone with Ron, a memory from his past life suddenly surfaced.

"I remember someone on a forum once speculated whether Ron Weasley used the Imperius Curse to make Hermione Granger fall in love with him."

At the time, Dylan had actually spent three days pondering this theory.

The person who proposed this idea argued that Ron might have resorted to dark magic to win Hermione's heart.

They even claimed that Ron and Hermione's relationship had been tense since their first year, with constant arguments and clashing personalities.

They also suggested that Ron's exposure to dark magic had affected his mind.

This was supposedly evident in the final book, where Ron became highly emotional while wearing the locket Horcrux.

Additionally, during Professor Moody's (actually Barty Crouch Jr. in disguise) class, students were taught the Unforgivable Curses, including the Imperius Curse.

Ron even successfully cast the Imperius Curse on the goblin Griphook in the final book, demonstrating his proficiency with the curse.

Of course, after three days of contemplation, Dylan concluded:

This is how legends are born.

After all, in the original story, it wasn't Ron who used the Imperius Curse on Griphook—it was Harry.

Moreover, he still vividly remembered a comment that refuted this theory.

The comment stated that Ron in the original story had a unique charm, a kind of charisma that made it almost inevitable for women to fall for him.

This meant Ron would never need to use the Imperius Curse on anyone—his charm alone was enough.

The replies to this comment were filled with jokes about the commenter being under the Imperius Curse themselves.

These comments had made Dylan laugh for three days straight.

Of course, there were many differences between the original books and the movies. Now that Dylan was living in this world, he couldn't simply determine whether he was in the book's universe, the movie's universe, or a blend of both.

—After all, Hermione in the books wasn't described as being as beautiful as she was in the movies.

Regardless, he had already lived in this world for ten years and had become a part of it.

No matter what the future held, mastering magic was his priority. With that, he could handle any situation that came his way!

"Go on, tell us," Ron said, stabbing a sausage with his fork.

Hermione shot him a glance before lowering her voice again. "According to the book, Nicolas Flamel is the greatest alchemist in history. He created the Philosopher's Stone over six hundred years ago!"

"The book also says the Philosopher's Stone can turn base metals into gold!"

"It can even produce the Elixir of Life, granting immortality to whoever drinks it!"

Harry and Ron's eyes widened in shock. This was something they had never known before.

"The Philosopher's Stone can do that?"

Dylan finished the last bite of his durian and nodded to himself.

Yes, aside from its ability to grant immortality, the Philosopher's Stone could also create gold.

"With the Philosopher's Stone, I could let my parents take a break and create vast wealth for myself. Even if the system demanded a million pounds, I wouldn't be short on money."

Dylan wiped his mouth with a napkin.

"But even without turning lead into gold, maybe I could devalue the pound and use other methods to acquire wealth. I wonder if the system would recognize that for the magic tuition fees."

As Dylan pondered this, he continued listening to Hermione's excited explanation.

"Nicolas Flamel has been alive since the 14th century! The only Philosopher's Stone in the wizarding world is in his possession!"

"And while I was at home, I didn't just sit around. I found out that Flamel celebrated his 665th birthday last year!"

Ron frowned. "Did you really need to look that up? Couldn't you just do the math?"

Hermione paused, then glared at him.

"You're being annoying!"

Harry's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Now that we know who Nicolas Flamel is, does that mean Fluffy is guarding the Philosopher's Stone?"

Hermione nodded. "Exactly!"

She then looked at Dylan. "This time, it's all thanks to Dylan's help! Otherwise, we might never have figured out who Nicolas Flamel is."

Dylan blinked. "I just gave you the book because I thought you'd like it. The rest has nothing to do with me."

Hermione smiled. "Either way, thank you for giving me the clue."

"Luckily, I was bored at home and read the entire book. That's how I found out about Flamel!"

Ron swallowed a bite of sausage. "Instead of having fun or playing games, you read a book…"

He shuddered. "I'll never understand that."
