**Chapter 68: Achievement Unlocked: Attacking a Professor (II)**

Feeling the lingering effects of the recent transfiguration, Dylan nodded at Professor McGonagall.

"Thank you for your efforts."

As he expressed his gratitude, Dylan felt a strange mix of emotions.

He had just been turned into a pig, yet here he was, thanking her for doing it so well...

Was there no justice in the world? No sense of right and wrong?

After leaving Professor McGonagall's office, Dylan walked down the corridor while checking the notifications from the achievement system.

**[Message]**: You bold and mischievous little wizard, you actually cast a transfiguration spell on Professor McGonagall!

**[Message]**: You've unlocked a new achievement!

"Huh..."

Dylan had originally intended to check whether his refinement task had been completed.

But as soon as he opened the system, he was greeted with a notification about unlocking an achievement.

He cleared his throat, leaned against the wall, and continued walking while glancing at the system panel.

——————

**[Achievement]**: Attacking a Professor (II)

**[Description]**: Don't think no one knows what you're up to—you're clearly trying to turn your professor into a monstrous creature, aren't you? But honestly, that's a brilliant idea! Keep practicing diligently, and you might just achieve your twisted dream someday!

**[Unlock Requirement]**: Cast a transfiguration spell on a Hogwarts professor with the intent to transform them into a grotesque monster.

**[Achievement Reward]**: Max-Level Intermediate Spell +1

——————

"..."

Is this system insane?

What kind of description is this?

He never intended to turn Professor McGonagall into some freakish creature!

"And the unlock requirement is just..."

Just as Dylan was about to complain further, he immediately shut his mouth when he saw the achievement reward.

"This time, it's rewarding me with a max-level intermediate spell? Nice!"

Well, it didn't matter what the system thought of him. As long as he got the reward, that was all that mattered.

Dylan glanced at the system panel and focused his mind.

In an instant, he felt as though he had been transported to the farthest reaches of the universe.

Darkness stretched endlessly in every direction, with only a single star above him shining brilliantly.

As Dylan gazed at it, the star suddenly trembled and erupted with dazzling light. Streams of radiant energy cascaded down from the star and poured into his body.

The next moment, he heard a faint but dense fluttering sound in the distance.

In the blink of an eye, the sky was filled with a flock of birds.

They swirled around Dylan, and the starlight filtering through the gaps between their wings scattered like shimmering fragments.

Dylan looked up, his eyes following each bird as they gathered in greater numbers, sometimes forming the shape of a winding dragon, other times galloping like a herd of horses.

He stood amidst them, his hair tousled by the wind and his robes fluttering loudly.

**[Message]**: Congratulations! You've mastered the max-level spell—*Bird-Conjuring Charm* (Avis)!

"A conjuration spell?"

Since Dylan already had a decent grasp of transfiguration, he was somewhat familiar with conjuration spells as well.

The *Bird-Conjuring Charm* wasn't entirely new to him.

However, now that he had mastered it at max level, the vague, elusive feeling he used to experience when casting the spell had completely vanished.

Instead, he felt an almost psychic connection with the birds, as if they were extensions of his own body.

Dylan could clearly sense that each bird responded precisely to his thoughts.

Whether it was circling, diving, or forming intricate formations, the control was effortless and intuitive.

This newfound mastery filled Dylan with an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, so much so that he almost wished he could transform into a bird himself and soar into the sky.

In fact, he had already raised his wand.

But just then, a sharp, piercing bird cry snapped him out of his trance. His body jolted, and his eyes regained their clarity as the look of rapture faded from his face.

Dylan was momentarily stunned.

"Can mastering a max-level spell really make you lose yourself like that?"

Recalling how he had been completely absorbed in the sensory thrill of the magic, even wanting to transform into a bird and take flight, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear.

"Was that bird cry a warning from the system?"

Dylan's brow furrowed.

He had mastered plenty of max-level spells before, but nothing like this had ever happened.

Yet now, a simple *Bird-Conjuring Charm* had nearly caused him to lose himself. Dylan couldn't help but ponder the implications.

"Even though I've always tried to respect the power of transfiguration, it seems I've still underestimated it."

He shook his head, his gaze firming with resolve. "I learn magic to make it a tool for achieving my goals, not to let it control me!"

Taking a few deep breaths to calm his emotions, Dylan was about to check whether his refinement task had been completed when a commotion erupted nearby.

Looking up, he saw Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom in the corridor ahead.

"That's my Remembrall! Give it back!"

Neville's face was red with frustration as he reached desperately for the Remembrall that Malfoy was holding just out of his reach.

But Malfoy only smirked, taunting him as he dangled the Remembrall above Neville's head.

"Look at this! Is this the famous Longbottom family heirloom? Or is it just a trinket to remind you how stupid you are?"

Seeing that Neville couldn't retrieve the Remembrall, Malfoy laughed even more mockingly.

"You think you're worthy of being Harry's friend? Someone who still needs a Remembrall? What, do you need it to remember where you left your brain?"

"Don't waste your time. Even if you get it back, you'll never figure out how to do magic properly. You're just a born loser!"

Neville, now both angry and desperate, jumped repeatedly to grab the Remembrall but kept missing.

Growing impatient, Malfoy shoved him aside and drew his wand. "*Locomotor Mortis* (Leg-Locker Curse)!"

Dylan frowned. Without even needing to use his wand, he instantly cast the *Bird-Conjuring Charm*.

"Whoosh!"

In an instant, a swift bird materialized out of thin air, streaking through the corridor and slamming straight into Malfoy's face.

Caught completely off guard, Malfoy let out a yelp of pain.

Staggering backward, he dropped both his wand and the Remembrall, causing the curse to fizzle out mid-cast.

Neville, quick to react, snatched the Remembrall out of the air before it could hit the ground.

Malfoy's wand, however, clattered loudly onto the floor.

Looking up, Neville's flushed face lit up with relief as he saw Dylan approaching.

"Dylan!"
