Chapter 6: Misunderstanding

"Let me go! Don't come near me! Help!" I slapped his hands frantically.

The convenience - store owner, who had just talked to me, also looked puzzled. "What's wrong with you, girl? You were fine just now."

When getting in the car, I sat in the driver's seat and handed the cupcakes I brought to him. "I made them myself. Try them. I'll drive."

He was really gentle. He took the cake with a smile and sat directly in the passenger seat.

When he opened the box and saw the black lump of chocolate, he frowned tightly and didn't move it.

He took the cake and took a bite without showing any disgust on his face. "My wife is really ingenious. The cake she makes is so delicious. I've really found a treasure."

I held the steering wheel with both hands, my face turning bright red.

Although we were already married, he had never called me "wife" before. I was a bit unaccustomed to hearing it suddenly.

As he ate the cake, he didn't forget to give me directions. "How about we go eat fish? The grilled fish not far ahead is quite good."

My face was already extremely red, and I could only nod frantically in agreement.

Maybe I was too nervous. When a car came from the opposite side, I made a sharp turn in panic.

Xie Yan, who was eating the cake, didn't sit steady, and the black chocolate fell on his clothes. "Better let me drive."

How could that be? Besides making desserts, I surely had other good points.

I immediately said, "No need. My driving skills are pretty good. That was just an accident. Sit tight."

He didn't insist either. He quietly put the cake back in the box and took two tissues to wipe the black marks on his clothes.

When getting out of the car, I saw a bit of chocolate on the corner of his mouth. I casually took a tissue to wipe it off for him.

I noticed that the tips of his ears turned red. I didn't expect he was such an innocent guy.

The atmosphere during this meal was quite good. It wasn't as awkward as before.

I swear this was definitely the most embarrassing day of my life.

On the way back, he suddenly asked me, "Do you want to go to your place to pick up your luggage later?"

Then I remembered that I was supposed to move to his place today. After watching that horror movie last night, I didn't have time to pack.
