Chapter 33 Flower Tea in the Color of Blood

There was a strange red color swirling in the transparent glass. The bright red and transparent liquid looked both strange and beautiful under the light. I smelled a sweet and fishy fragrance, which was like the scent of flowers, yet also resembled the smell of the blood on my hand the day before yesterday.

I don't like the smell of blood.

However, since Jiang Huai had already brewed the tea and brought it over, I didn't want to directly refuse, so I took it. "Thank you for your trouble. I'm fine here. You can go back and rest now."

As I said this, I turned around and put the black tea on the bedside table. But at this moment, Jiang Huai said, "I asked someone to buy this black tea from a very far place. Ms. Gu, it's better to drink it now. If it gets cold, it won't have the desired effect."

But I didn't want to drink it.

Jiang Huai stood respectfully in front of the door. There was no sign of joy or sorrow, nor any emotion on his face. But I just felt that Jiang Huai was waiting for me to drink it, and he seemed determined not to leave until I did.

Xie Yan wasn't at home. If Jiang Huai stood guard in front of my door like this, I probably wouldn't be able to fall asleep even more.

Thinking that it was better to avoid trouble, I picked up the black tea and took a sip. "It tastes good. Can I rest now?"

"Of course!" Jiang Huai nodded and turned to leave.

The moment I sat back on the bed, sleepiness overwhelmed my mind, and I fell asleep within a few seconds.

"Xie Yan, have you forgotten? We are family!"

A desolate and eerie voice came from afar. I opened my eyes and found myself standing in a forest. What surprised me even more was that I was actually standing on a tree.

Amazing!

Since when have I been so light that a single leaf could support me?

It's so funny. Wouldn't I be emaciated to death then?

Just thinking that I was so thin made me quite happy. However, the atmosphere around seemed not so pleasant. Since I knew I was dreaming, I didn't care too much.

I wanted to look around, but I found that my vision seemed to be controlled by something and couldn't move.

I saw the pitch-black forest shrouded in white fog. In the distance, a black figure was hidden in it. He seemed to be standing on a tree too, but when I looked at him, it felt like he was floating.

Sure enough, it's a dream!

I sighed in my heart. I've really made progress recently. It's one thing to dream that I'm as light as a feather, but I even dream that someone else is standing in mid-air. It's really quite imaginative.

Just as I thought it was ridiculous, suddenly the person hidden in the white fog turned around and looked at me. My heart skipped a beat, and I instinctively wanted to avoid his gaze, but then I suddenly remembered that my vision was completely out of my control. And precisely because of this, I clearly saw the person's face.

It was Xie Yan again.

Last time it was Dracula, and what about this time?

Since I knew I was dreaming, I wasn't afraid anymore. My gaze passed through Xie Yan's delicate jawline. From a distance, I saw someone walking out of the white fog. At this moment, Xie Yan turned around and stopped looking at me.

"Brother, you've finally come." The man in the white fog spoke.

His voice was very cold, eerie, and carried a damp chill. Just by listening to it, I felt as if a poisonous snake had crawled up my neck, making me almost suffocate.

Since I couldn't hide anyway, I could only gather my courage and keep watching.

Upon hearing the man's words, Xie Yan exuded a terrifying chill all over his body. Even from a distance, I found it terrifying. In the blink of an eye, Xie Yan flashed in front of the man. He grabbed the man's neck with one hand and said in a sinister tone, "I said no killing."

Oh, there's a plot?

I started to get excited. My uncontrollable gaze eagerly stared at Xie Yan holding the man's neck. But unexpectedly, the next second, the man suddenly raised his eyes and looked at me.

I had no choice but to meet his gaze.

After a while, the man suddenly sneered. "Brother's servant is really disobedient. Although his blood can make people fall asleep instantly, if someone is exceptionally talented, they can see the scenes that the original body can see. Am I right?"

After saying this, he laughed sinisterly. His eerie eyes turned to Xie Yan. "Brother, do you remember? You bestowed him with immortality, but his talent can make us be discovered by humans. Don't you think it's ironic?"

Xie Yan looked at him and said in a cold tone, "This is my business."

"Oh." The man curled his lips in a half-smile. He glanced at me sideways. "Then brother, you have to keep him in check. Otherwise, if I find that woman through him, what will you do if you get angry then?"

After the man finished speaking, the smile on his lips widened. Just looking at it from a distance made me feel a chill run down my spine.

This dream didn't seem so wonderful either. I tried my best to close my eyes and force myself to wake up, but no matter how hard I tried, I still saw the same scene in front of me.

At this moment, Xie Yan seemed like a different person. He suddenly exerted force with his wrist. I only heard a click, and my heart skipped a beat. I instantly realized that the man's neck must have been broken.

I didn't dare to look any further, but I couldn't avoid the sight.

The howling cold wind made me feel a biting chill. I looked at Xie Yan killing the man in a daze, not knowing how to react at all.

"Xie Yan."

I shouted loudly and suddenly opened my eyes and woke up.

The bedroom was dark, and the curtains were fluttering with the night wind, making a faint sound. I sat on the bed, my chest heaving violently as I stared blankly at the moonlight on the floor.

Why did I dream that Xie Yan was killing someone?

It was actually Xie Yan?

I thought about it in confusion and finally came to the conclusion that it seemed that the incident with Xu Qiang had really affected me.

I secretly planned to go to the police station again. Even if Xu Qiang was dead, I had to find out the truth of all the things.

The alarm clock by the bedside showed that it was just past three o'clock. When I turned around, I saw that the bright red black tea by the bedside was gone. Had Xie Yan already come back?

I wanted to know but was too embarrassed to check.

Running into a man's room in the middle of the night just to confirm whether he had come back or not.

No one would believe that even if I told them.

I lay down and tried to go back to sleep, but as soon as I closed my eyes, a blinding white light flashed. A few seconds later, my vision gradually recovered, and in front of me was still Xie Yan.

He had his back to me, with a tall and slender figure and a cold and solemn demeanor.

Aren't I in my room?

Why can I see Xie Yan?

Can I dream even when I'm not asleep?

I instinctively clenched my fists. The thick gauze in my palms wrapped around my fingertips, and the woundvague pain off and on due to my fist-clenching movement. I clearly felt that all of this was real.

What on earth was going on?

I came to my senses and looked at Xie Yan again. Only then did I clearly see that he had his hands braced on the windowsill, his body leaning against the wall, and his head lowered as he panted.

Was Xie Yan injured?

While I was still wondering, suddenly the scene in front of me seemed to automatically focus and zoomed in on me. In an instant, I was standing behind Xie Yan. I heard a familiar voice say, "Master, you shouldn't have intervened."

This voice... was it Jiang Huai?

I thought about it in confusion. Was I inside Jiang Huai's body?

Or was I sharing the same vision as Jiang Huai?
