Chapter 50 Something More Interesting

I woke up to the sound of piano music.

I was suddenly taken aback by the large black and gold ceiling in front of me. A few seconds later, I remembered that I had been brought to this strange place by Xie Xiuyi.

"Oh, you're awake?"

A slightly cool male voice sounded. I frowned at the impatience in the man's tone. It was Xie Xiuyi.

I propped myself up and sat up. When I raised my eyes, I saw Xie Xiuyi sitting in front of me with a glass of red wine. The moment I met Xie Xiuyi's eyes, a chill ran down my spine.

A vicious light flashed in Xie Xiuyi's dark pupils.

My heart skipped a beat, and I asked Xie Xiuyi, "Where are my parents?"

Hearing this, Xie Xiuyi raised his wrist, took a sip of the red wine, and then slowly looked at me.

With a snap, the glass stained with red wine shattered in front of me. A cold wind flashed across his face, and my neck was tightly choked by Xie Xiuyi.

Xie Xiuyi stared coldly into my eyes and questioned me in a sinister tone, "Gu Mian, are you willing to abandon your parents for Xie Yan?"

I looked up at Xie Xiuyi in disbelief.

I was going to stay and accompany Xie Xiuyi?

My chest hurt terribly. I looked at Xie Xiuyi and asked in confusion, "I've already done what you said. Why do I still have to stay?"

Did I have to lie and say that I saw Xie Yan take the initiative to kill Xie Xiuyi?

I frowned tightly, waiting for Xie Xiuyi's reaction. Xie Xiuyi smiled faintly, and a venomous expression flashed across his face, which was nothing like Xie Yan's.

He slowly stood up, hooked his tie with his fingertips, tilted his head, and then suddenly burst into laughter.

Xie Xiuyi held the phone and lowered his eyes to look at my hand gripping his arm. Suddenly, he threw the phone away and grabbed my palm with his backhand.

His hand was very cold.

I shivered from the cold. When my consciousness returned, I tried to pull my hand back, but Xie Xiuyi held it even tighter when I tried to retract it.

"Gu Mian, you're mine now. Of course, I'll take care of your parents a bit," Xie Xiuyi said, imprisoning my hand in his palm. "Your parents have already left. Are you happy now?"

As Xie Xiuyi's words fell, I felt the temperature around me drop.

I shivered with cold, but I also let out a sigh of relief. As long as my parents were safe, the remaining problems might also be solved.

I remained silent. Xie Xiuyi seemed very happy. He let go of my hand and left the room. Soon, Xie Xiuyi came back in, holding a black box.

He placed the box in front of me, raised his chin, and ordered, "Put on the clothes and then come with me to have a meal."

I looked at the gold-embossed characters on the box. After some hesitation, I still changed into the clothes. When we were about to go out, Xie Xiuyi stood beside me and raised his hand.

"Brother," Xie Xiuyi said, interrupting our eye contact. Xie Xiuyi let go of my arm and then thoughtfully pulled out a chair for me.

"Mianmian, sit down first."

Xie Xiuyi's voice was low, and there was a hint of tenderness and doting in his words.

Hearing Xie Xiuyi's unfamiliar tone and false doting, I felt my whole body tremble. My fingers were shaking constantly, and I couldn't even hold the red wine glass that Xie Xiuyi handed me.

"Today is the day for the warehouse update. It's rare for everyone to have a meal together," Xie Xiuyi said coldly, looking at me. The moment he lowered his head, he whispered in my ear, "If you don't cooperate with me as my person, then I'll have to trouble your parents again."

The threatening words fell into my ears. I gritted my teeth and forced myself to steady my hand and pick up the red wine.

Xie Yan suddenly spoke up and stood up with a jerk.
