Dreams

Yuri's POV

The surroundings were blurred. Nothing was clear but I
could see something moving. I approached and everything gradually became clearer and clearer. Ella, she was
cooking and wearing an apron. "Ella? W-what are you doing here?" I looked at her and smiled. "Isn't this what
you want? To be with me." She was right, that's what I want. But why am I not happy? Is it because I know that
I'm not the one she loves. "You should leave." She looked at me with concern. I just looked away. Suddenly she
threw the spoon she was holding and ruined the apron she was wearing. "Why you keep pushing people that
love you, away from you?" I suddenly woke up drenched in sweat. I didn't want that dream.
I don't want to dream about him. I've forgotten him for a long time.

Jay-jay's POV
"Bastard! No one loves you!" Our neighbor's
kid shouted at me.
I couldn't do anything but go home and hide in my room.
What should I do? I'm still young, I'm so small compared to him.
And one more thing, what he said was true. No one loves me.
I tried to wake myself up from that dream. It was a nightmare!
I just held my eyes. They were wet with tears. I'm still crying
because of the same dream. I don't want to cry because of that. There's no
reason for me to cry about that dream!
I got up from bed and went straight to the bathroom to wash myself.
I looked at the wall clock in my room for a moment, it was only 5:30 in the morning.
After that, I went out and went to the kitchen. Honestly,
I didn't feel like eating anything but I had to prepare
breakfast.
I'm embarrassed because Tita Gema is the one doing the work even though
they have many helpers. That's all I can do.
Breakfast is ready. What a waste of my waking up. Who is that?
"Your face is so long?"
I turned to the person who spoke. It was Kuya Angelo!
He came over to me and ruffled my hair. "Go have breakfast."
That's why I couldn't move from my place. He scolded me
before he left. I was also a little scared of him.
Have I done anything stupid lately?
He's Aries' brother, Tita Gema's eldest son.
"Jay, what else are you doing there?"
"K-kuya, when did you get back?"
"It was 3am this morning, I should have gone straight to the condo because I wanted
to see Mama first."
I just nodded. He was from Singapore. He was the one who was taking
care of Tita and her business. The last time we met was when
Grandma was in the hospital.
I still remember his face when he almost buried me alive. It's a good thing
he seems to be in a good mood now.
"Isn't Aries still coming home?" He asked while making
coffee.
"Not yet. But I saw him at school."
"Hmmm..." He took a sip of his coffee. "...How was
school? Mama told me you went to Section E."
I rubbed my neck. "Yes."
Kuya Angelo also came from HVIS (Higher Value International
School). I just don't know if he knows anything about the
current Section E.
"Kuya..." Panimu. "...Do you know anything about Section E?"
He looked at me. "Yeah..."
I approached him. "Tell me."
I could see Kuya's hesitation. It was as if he was hiding something.
I didn't feel good about his attitude.
It seemed like there was something!
"There really isn't a Section E, it only happens when there are
students who have problems at school---disobedient students to be specific.
At first, there were only five or six students in Section E,
but as time went on, the number increased."
"Once Section E was opened and they were put there,
they couldn't leave. For example, if you're only a 1st year and you're put
in that section, you can't leave until you graduate
."
His explanation was long. That's why Aries said I was suitable for
that section. Because I'm disobedient!
"What else?" "
Uhmmm... I'm not sure if your batch is the same as our batch
.... Because in ours, only the most disobedient and intolerant students end up in
that section. They can't be charged with expulsion because
they have backers."
Ahh.. That's how it is.
"So why aren't there any women in Section E?"
"I'm not sure but there used to be no girls in Section E.
Sometimes someone like you would say something but they would be transferred right away... Maybe
because the girls in the school aren't that naughty."
I felt embarrassed by the naughty girl.
"So if you act too smart, they might transfer you to another
section right away."
"Hhmmm.. I'm okay in that Section. Maybe I'll just stay there."
"You take care of it..."
Because even though they're scary, sometimes they seem kind. Besides, I don't want
to judge them because they're in Section E.
I still want to ask Kuya a lot but I forgot.
I'm going to eat first and I'll think about it later.
I was only halfway through my meal when he said goodbye and left.
He said he'd be back later. Okay, maybe I'll remember what
to ask.
After eating, I quickly took a shower and got ready. I was planning
to walk to school. I'll check how far the school is from
home.
When I went back to the kitchen to get a drink, I saw Tita Gema.
"Good Morning Auntie.." I greeted her.
She smiled at me. "Good Morning too.. Are you going to school?"
"Yes.. I'm planning to walk to school. I'll see
how far it is."
"45mins.."
I looked at her in surprise. "Sir?"
"45mins to get to school if you just walk."
I still looked at her that way. How did she know that?
"I just walked to get to school. I
studied there too."
I just sighed. Auntie was cool, she made the school walking distance
rom home.
"I know a lot of shortcuts... Do you want me to teach you?"
She asked me while smiling.
I nodded. She immediately took a piece of paper to give me the
instructions. There were so many Streets. There were also Avenida St., Bonifacio St.,
Aquino St., etc.
After Auntie gave me the paper, I immediately left. Awesome! I even surpassed
Dora in exploring. I first tried the alley closest
to the house.
It was called Calla Street. According to Tita's instructions, I could
choose the next street to get to the next street.
Camella Street was the next one, then Aquino Street. I was about to enter
Aquino Street but I was stopped at the scene.
Someone was punching me. One man was helping the three men.
Huh?! Is that right?! Yes! The three men had already fallen down and
the man who was standing was still kicking them.
How could I pass? The path was narrow. They were still blocking the way.
If I waited for them to finish, they might catch up with me.
Haaaaayyyy!!! I had no choice!
I approached him but there was a distance. Just enough for
the man to hear me.
"Uhmmm... Excuse me! I'll be careful----"
"IF YOU WANT TO LIVE, GET OUT OF HERE!"
The man shouted angrily.
My eyebrows furrowed at what he said. He could have said it
properly. His back was to me so I couldn't see his face but
he looked like he was from HVIS because of his uniform.
"I'll leave if you let me pass!" I answered him bluntly.
He suddenly stopped kicking the boys. I saw
his fist clench.
Wow! He must have gotten angry!
He turned to face me and gave me a mean look. His look was deadly
but it quickly disappeared when he recognized me.
This is my classmate! I just can't remember his name. Because
I still don't know and I'm trying to find out.
"Jay-jay?" He smiled at me as if nothing had happened. "..I'm
your classmate, remember?"
I just nodded and walked straight ahead. I just passed the
boys who were lying in the road. The others already had blood on their faces.
"Wait! Are you going in?"
I faced him and nodded.
"Let's go together... Let me finish this for a moment." He said while pointing at
the ones he was kicking.
"Finish? Those are already down... What else are you going to finish?"
"Not yet... I want their faces to bleed before I
leave." He smiled again.
This is brutal. I think the boys will be killed.
"No! You take care of that. I'm leaving!"
I continued walking even though I heard him still calling me.
He looked like a child to fight. I'm still big for him.
His uniform was a bit loose on him so he looked even smaller.
His hair was black and a bit tight. He's cute when he smiles.
I should have checked my classmates' names first. Even though I had a list
on paper. Felix, Keifer, and Yuri were the only ones I knew---
"Wait!" I heard him shout.
I didn't turn around because just from his shout it was obvious he was running.
He grabbed my shoulder when he caught up with me. He was gasping for
air and just held onto his knee for support.
"I-I said... Wait for me..." He said while catching his breath.
"I might be late if I wait for you..."
He straightened up. "That's not it.. It's still early."
I didn't say anything and just went back to walking. He followed
me.
