Mica & Calix 3.0
Mica's POV
*Continuation of Flashback...* We've been together for over a month. I'm so happy. I used to just look at her but now she's hugging me and holding my hand. "Baby... Eat now. Don't look at me." She ordered me and brought the food closer. I knew she didn't like watching her. I couldn't help it. It was so delicious to look at. "You probably want me to try you, right?" She was teasing me. I shook my head and immediately took my ood. The truth is, I wanted it but it was still embarrassing. "Baby... What's that, you're going to be busy? The Math contest is coming up, there's still intrams." Yes, it is. I'm the one they're competing with in Math. Section A is in charge of intrams. "Yes.. I might not be able to feed you anymore." "That's okay... I just don't want you to lose time with me." He replied and smiled at me. That smile! That's the reason why I couldn't sleep the ï¬rst day I talked to him. After eating, I quickly went back to our room. No one knew that I was going to the Section E building. Calix wanted to keep everything a secret from us for now. "Where did you have lunch?" Mykel greeted me. "Just over there..." I whispered my answer. I knew he was following me. I've caught him a few times but he can hide immediately when I want to confront him. I still have to go everywhere just to distract him. I was about to enter the room but I saw Ella walking towards me. Her face was so serious. Like she was about to rush into trouble. "Ell----" "When?!" Her voice was a little louder so we immediately looked at each other. "H-ha? W-which one?" "Calix's." She whispered to me ï¬rmly, noticing that she was making a scene. I bit my lower lip hard. She didn't know yet. She would be mad at me. "W-because..." "Because what?! Mica! You told me you just wanted to meet him. That 's all, but what is this?!" She said with a mix of anger. I can't blame her. We had a conversation that I wouldn't have a relationship with him but I didn't follow through. Sorry Ella... I really love Calix. "When did you two start dating?" She whispered to me. "It's been over a month." I replied. "And you didn't even tell me?! Are you really keeping it a secret?!" I couldn't answer. I only gave a curt nod. "You didn't suspect anything then?" Ella added, confusing my mind . What did she mean? "Your relationship is just a secret because..." She took a deep breath. "...he has a girlfriend who is a freshman." Girlfriend?! But that's me and I'm not a freshman. Something tugged at my heart. Please don't! "Ask Calix if you want. He can deny it but what I'm saying is true." She left after saying that. It was as if something in me was hurt. I hoped Ella was wrong. I hoped what she said wasn't true. I trust Ella and Calix. They are both important to me. I don't want it to come to this point. This is probably also the reason why Calix doesn't want me to tell Ella. Home... Just like before, I'm just waiting here at the gate. Even though it's dark, I'm still waiting. I really need to talk to Calix. It's not that I don't believe Ella or don't trust her. We really should talk about this. "Mica..." Calix called to me. I knew it was him. Even though I didn't look, I knew. "Why aren't you going home? Didn't I tell you that when it gets dark, you'll be the ï¬rst? Why are you still here?" He asked me. I forced a smile. "I just wanted to talk to you." He held my hand and encouraged me to walk. "I hope you just texted me ." "I want to talk in person." His grip on my hand tightened. I suddenly felt nervous. "Is this about Ella?" he asked. I just looked at him as if waiting for him to say something. "She caught us earlier. She talked to me and I told her the truth. That's all she got angry about." He explained. That's why Ella rushed to me earlier. "Ella said something else." I said hesitantly. "Hm?" "She said, you have a freshman girlfriend." Calix looked away and took a deep breath. "That's not true. I just thought that because many people always come to me, that girl." I felt relieved when he said that. The weight in m y chest disappeared. I knew that wasn't true. He chose me. "S-sorry..." "What for?" he asked. "Because it seems like it comes out that I don't trust you." He stopped walking and faced me. He held my other hand. "That's normal for people like us. As long as you trust him completely, we won't be broken." He said and kissed me on the forehead. I smiled at him. I like it when he makes me feel like we can't be broken. "Let's eat..." He said that while pointing to a food court at the night market. I smiled. We've become hubbys who eat there whenever we go together . Our Math Contest has started. I've been busy so Calix and I don't see each other much anymore. But I always text and call him. It's just that these past few days, he hasn't answered. I also couldn't see him at our meeting place. I didn't want to go to Sectoon E because Keifer was mad at me. Ella and I still weren't talking. I was inside the cubicle in the CR when I heard some girls talking . "OhMyGee... He is a really good kisser. I almost got carried away somewhere." One girl said. "Girl! That guy already has a girlfriend, stop him." The other replied. "Girlfriend?! He doesn't have one. It'll just be me." Why did my heart beat faster? That feeling that you knew what they were talking about. "It's a rumor that Calix goes home with a girl." "Not true! Maybe it's just someone who pretends. Calix will be mine!" "It's up to you! Push it if you want!" The two girls who were talking came out. Suddenly, tears started falling down my face even though there was no reason. I hope they were talking about a different Calix. My Calix can't do that. I texted Calix right away to say hello. I was so relieved when she replied and said she was meeting at our meeting place. I quickly got ready and went to their building. We still haven't admitted to everyone that we're together. They said someone might ï¬ght with me. We tried to keep everything a secret. She was sitting in her seat and looking out the window when I arrived. "Calix..." I called. "Hi Baby!" She greeted me and smiled. But it disappeared as soon as I got closer. "Why are your eyes red? Did you cry?" she asked. I smiled and shook my head. "Just irritated." "Then you rubbed it? Haist!" She took her handkerchief and wiped my eyes. That's a different Calix... That's right! That's not her, that's different! Like before, I just watched her while she ate. But not because she was fun to watch, but because there was something on her collar. Lipstick? There was a trace of something red. I really don't want to think that's lipstick, but I'm also a girl and I use it too. "Is there a problem?" Calix asked. She looked over her shoulder thinking that's what I was looking at. "N-no, nothing... Just eat." I said. But she ignored me. It was as if she was looking for something on her shoulder. Until she touched her collar and saw the red lipstick stain on it. "It's nothing... It's just paint." She explained. I smiled at her. She didn't need to explain. I wasn't thinking about anything else. She went back to eating and I did the same. She was the one who offered to clean up after. "Calix..." I called out, handing over the Love Letter. She had already told me that she really liked reading my letters to her. So even though I couldn't think of anything else to say, I still wrote for her. She took the letter and put it in her pocket. She smiled at me and made me walk out of the room. He didn't walk me past their building. Maybe someone would see us. I met some students talking about Calix. Even though I didn't want to listen, I couldn't help it. "I heard Calix was with someone else last night." "I saw him at the park riding his bike. He was giving me a ride with a girl." "That's not mine. I saw a kiss behind the gymnasium." It was like something was pinching my heart. I quickly ran to the CR. I wanted to cry. I hope it's a different Calix. I hope it's not the Calix I always wait for at the gate. The one who tells me I love you. The one who kisses me on the orehead. The one who holds my hand. The one who says we won't be broken no matter what. I hope it's not him. Because I don't think I could handle it if it was him.
